I have family there, so I have been asking the question how to start a conversation with them about a possible move. We must make those changes in our lives. It’s my experience that the Guidelines for Living and the Guidelines for Being a Student of Knowledge have clear directives on how we can have the strongest impact both spiritually and in the world and people around us. It’s also a very hard message for any bible-based Christian to accept. The premis that God will save us all is deeply ingrained in the scriptures and psyche of believers. They’ve misinterpreted the original word, “save” perhaps.

Erik_OR: One thing comes to mind in response to all those here who mention influence, the mental environment, and the staying centered/grounded in Knowledge, is that, with anything in life, it is easy to take something for granted when you are regularly exposed to it. My recent readings in Essential Truths about the GC, and the new Greater Community book, brought me back to the original threshold experience that I had so many years ago upon first discovering the NM. Discussing the importance of these teachings with everyone here, seeing its impact upon others and being reminded how many people lack an awareness of the Great Waves and GC, reminds me how important this Teaching is at this time, and how needed it is in the world. It is easy to grow listless, ineffectual, self-absorbed, and yet Knowledge shines upon our awareness and takes us out, over, and beyond these previous boundaries. It is not lost on me that many of the worlds places of “escape to paradise” are being blown to smithereens…the paradise I was seeking was in the wilderness…but that too was an escape plan!

This has stuck with me.. and helped me not go there when this journey gets overwhelming as to what the future holds for myself and our world undergoing these great changes.

If the framework of mind and motivation is service, perhaps our emergence into the GC and contending with the GW can be seen in a different light.
