Campfire Chat May 6, 2017

Ellen_Society:  Before we begin, I would like to share some quotes from Marshall – from last week’s chat: ‘The watchtower is always important, scanning the horizon objectively and realizing the difference between small waves and great waves of change. We have been given the eyes to see and the ears to hear. Take your practice of seeing and hearing out into the world. The inner and outer preparation go together always.”

“The challenge is finding the Center Line, the middle ground between hope and fear, between obsession and avoidance, between compulsion and listlessness. Knowledge is the Center Line. Practice returning to the Center Line. Inner Listening, Stillness, objectivity with yourself and others, GC and Great Waves awareness will bring you there.”

“Living is an affluent society, I make sure that I am being affected by the Great Waves as I observe them happening all over the world. This is part of my practice. Holding to the Center Line observing these things is also part…

Ellen_Society:  … of my practice. Knowledge has my eyes turned to the world. I am a world Messenger. I cannot take refuge in myself alone.”

“There is a certain toughness that we all will need to face the new world reality without becoming jaded or breaking down. To build this, we have to keep facing it and not retreat into ourselves, into our personal world of desire and consolation. This is part of taking the Steps to Knowledge. This is part of the preparation. We need tough love for a tough world.”

“The tendency to retreat into oneself where no real certainty or happiness can be found is the product of living in Separation. Yet the Great Coordination must call you out of this retreat and bring you into your true role and alignment with others.”

May_Norway:  Greetings everyone from me above the Polar sircle in North of Norway, around 5 degrees and we are waiting for some more snow, hope not
rayhobbs_Colorado:  The Creator of all life has given humanity the Teaching in Steps to Knowledge as a pure pathway to follow. It is not the only pathway in the world, certainly, but it is pure and uncontaminated, and it is extremely powerful. But it requires a daily practice, for whatever you practice on a daily basis, you become very good at. You acquire the skills, the abilities and the strength to do something—even something that requires great ability—with tremendous ease and determination. ( Deepening Your Spiritual Practice )
justin-calif-!:  Greetings, all- Quick note: I will be on Venice Beach with another NM student giving out info today- Anyone local- come join us!

jeanine_Society:  For those who have been engaged in the Free School for some time, coming back to these sessions each year, can be like coming back to an old friend, but learning new things about that old friend that you didn’t know before, each time going deeper in that relationship.
May_Norway:  Welcome Rakshan
rayhobbs_Colorado:  @Alex_Christ_Parkinson: So, here you are in the world of conflict. You have your own conflict— your own conflicting ideas, wishes and impulses. You struggle internally to realize and exercise a greater truth despite all of the selfish and fearful motivations which prompt you to do things against your better wishes and greater well-being. This conflict is endemic here.
Raoul_Australia:  Welcome Brandon!
Rakhshan_Netherlands:  Thank you all I’m so happy to have found you all!
Joyanne_Canada:  Welcome Brandon, how wonderful that you have joined Virgie and us all.
jeanine_Society:  Today during the Chat we will share our experience with the core revelation and examine the obstacles in our current practice.
Alex_Christ_Parkinson:  What you see in me is that which is bound in you!!! For you have not yet realised that which is true!!! Within the choices that you make!!! You have forgotten who to take!!! For I am one you see!!! With the world in me!!!
Ellen_Society:  Welcome, Brandon! Thanks for being here today.
jeanine_Society:  In reading the Core Revelation Deepening Your Spiritual Practice this past week, what one aspect stood out for you the most?
jeanine_Society:  As this revelation is plumb-full of wisdom and depth, we know it will be a challenge to narrow it down to just one aspect…
80240:  Alex stop proclaiming yourself and just be a part of the Chat.
rayhobbs_Colorado:  @Alex_Christ_Parkinson: You are a Chicken McNugget
nenette_istanbul:  Glad to see new Students of Knowledge, welcome Rakshan , Brandon …
Tonia_Denmark:  Resonating, Alex
rayhobbs_Colorado:  Forgive me … I will repent later
Alex_Christ_Parkinson:  What you see in me is the hurt you carry!!! For I can never be held to the place where you spell!!! I cannot be reasoned for that would go against my season!!! I am here now, that is true!!! What I leave here is up to you!!!
Jeanne_Boulder:  Good Day to all students of the NM:*)
MarkBerger:  J9: This stood out for me as something to consider and practice: “Whenever you are extremely upset about something, ask yourself: Is there something I need here? Is there something I need to know here? Is there something I need to do here?”
Samantha_South Africa:  The most important aspect for me was about not judging or condemning others
Paul_MA:  What stood out:..:”Spiritual practice is about bringing your surface mind into contact with the power & presence of Knowledge.” That you take your spiritual practice into the world….. And Managing the mind & using the mind are a major part of your spiritual practice.
May_Norway:  I ressonate @ MarkBerger
Alex_Christ_Parkinson:  What is it that in you!!! Make you forget what is true!!! Look around you and see!!! That which can never be free!!! Release yourself from the choices that you make!!! Which continue the hate you carry!!!
LaRaeUK:  We are grateful you found TNM rakhshan. The world needs this Revelation.
Amina Russia:  These words stood out for me: When you are waiting for anything is a great time to practice inner listening. When you get on board a bus or a conveyance or around other people, do not judge and evaluate them. Just watch and listen. Ask yourself: What am I looking at here? And listen more deeply than the immediate response of your intellect..
Alex_Christ_Parkinson:  Life is unbound you see!!! For it is speaking through me!!!
Levy_Brazil:  Thanks, Mark
Matt_bzn:  @MarkBerger – I have that quote written and posted on my wall at work. Thanks.
Cameron_Canada:  LOL Ray, McNugget – too funny

Maureen_Boulder:  At the risk of being long-winded: Over the years, I’ve been contemplating the mind, how it works and how to work with it. How do I “redirect my mind”? How do I harness this wild horse of a mind I have?

I’ve taken note of the instruction in the last paragraphs in our Steps practices. They use the word “allow” frequently. How does one allow? What takes place in the mind to accomplish that? “Practice feeling the strength of your own will.” “Enter stillness” is another – as if there is a door we go through. Marshall once said: “When your mind drifts away or falls into despair, bring it back. You have this power, but you must use this power to find it and know that it is there.” Two more directives “bring it back” and “use this power.”

I’ve been reading a book called, “mindsight-The New Science of Personal Transformation. It stresses the idea of consistently focusing the mind and that that action “activates neural firing, which in turn leads to the production of proteins that enable…

Maureen_Boulder:  … new connections to be made among neurons, in the process called neuroplasticity.”

My ‘aha experience” was that there is science behind Steps to Knowledge. These consistent and intention-driven efforts on our own behalf, in essence, enable us to “see a different world” – to break the bonds of habits of thought, to direct and use our mind rather than be used by it. “Mindfulness is a form of mental activity that trains the mind to become aware of awareness itself and to pay attention to one’s own intentions.” This is a quote from “mindsight” but I see it as a description of part of what Steps to Knowledge does for us.

Paul_MA:  Mark- yes the Questions to be with…so vital and revealing.
Joyanne_Canada:  @Alex. Yes life speaks through us, Knowledge which is the Intelligence of Spirit is in us all, and flows from us all. We are all connected.
Richmond_UK:  @Jeanine what struck me, was something quite simple – “The value of learning to go beneath the mind is that at any moment in life when you need to see something, to know something and to comprehend something, you can switch off your mind.” To be able to direct the mind is a great freedom and blessing.
Alison_Boulder:  In listening, the voice seemed to amplify when I head this “Here your practice is not simply the repetition of a meditation practice, or recitations. Here practice must be a real focus on improving your skills and on refining your intentions. If you just show up every day to do a meditation experience, well, it will have little or no quality if you do not bring your full attention to it.”
Am I accepting a low-quality form of meditation just to check it off my list? What is my intent when I say “Nasi Novare Coram” today?
LaRaeUK:  That struck me too MarkBerger
rayhobbs_Colorado:  …. if you are troubled, concerned or very fearful about something, or if you are very angry or resentful, you will create a dissonance in your environment. Once this dissonance leaves your own mind, it becomes a force in the environment. Now, if only one person is generating this, it will be a very weak force and easily dissipated. However, if many people are generating these kinds of experiences, they will create a force that is more lasting and much more potent and effective. This force, then, can influence other minds in such a way that it seems to overtake them. A mental force in the environment can become very concentrated and quite strong and can have, so to speak, a whirlwind effect on other minds. Indeed, if you recall the times that you have entered somebody’s personal domain and you walked into a discordant state, you will recall how powerful this can be and how it can affect you emotionally and determine your responses. Therefore, a discordant mind has an impact on the…
rayhobbs_Colorado:  … environment. (WGC2. 15)
Alex_Christ_Parkinson:  What is so funny about a McNugget??? But the immage you carry of this nugget!!! Realise that what laughs in you!!! Is bound to dishonesty towards what’s true!!!
Selma London:  “It is your spiritual practice that will bring your mind and your body into real relationship with your deeper nature. This will give you a sense of integrity. This will allow you to feel right about your life. This will give you the criteria to bring your life into balance and harmony, to withdraw from relationships and involvements that have no purpose and no future and no chance of success, to refocus your life, to reorient your life to where Knowledge wants to take you, to where your heart wants to go.
You still have all the problems of living in the physical reality: the problems of providing for yourself, the problems of establishing stability, the problems of learning how to communicate effectively with other people. But you are now being guided by a real power within yourself. And this will allow you to feel that your life is meaningful and has a real purpose and a real destiny, even if you cannot define these things for yourself.” Deepening Your Spiritual Practice
jeanine_Society:  @MarkBerger, Samantha & Paul & Richmond & Alison, et all – thank you for sharing what stood out for you the most in the core revelation…
Kelvin_Boulder:  @Jeanine, thank you for that metaphor. Steps to knowledge and the teachings themselves do feel like an old, old caring teacher at times, a relationship that goes much deeper than family or friendship…I am grateful to be in relationship with it, and I seek to deepen that relationship as now it is a vital necessity for the well being and survival.
Shane – New Zealand:  “Experiencing peace is a still mind”
Paul_MA:  Richmond….”To go beneath the mind”… that is a challenge…how to go there… I can still the Mind, but is that going below it?
Tonia_Denmark:  A voice within speaks in rythm and rhymes, but keeping it low is best for other later time. – I do not know my journey.
Kristina_Boulder:  @Aliso, this stood out for me as well.
Kristina FL:  Everything you do, everyone you are with, every activity, is an opportunity to deepen this connection as a conscious act—to cultivate your awareness of Knowledge and to learn how to discern Knowledge from all the other voices in your mind, all of the forms of deception within yourself and in the world around you.
Joyanne_Canada:  good points Alison, paying attention to how we practice.
Raoul_Australia:  Some good news, among many other things, stood out for me: “Satisfy this and you will have a satisfaction and a sense of permanence that nothing in the world can destroy. And you will be a light unto the world. And your service to the world will be profound and in many cases inexplicable.”
May_Norway:  Also, My mind is like the ocean. At the surface, it is constantly beng whipped up by the winds of the world. It is chaotic, without a clear direction. One day calm, the next day turbulent, all all the storms of the world impact it. But deeper down, my mindis quiet, and there are deeper currents moving my life- currents that have a certain direction, currents that are influenced by greater celestial powers.
Mike_LF_CAL:  @Maureen, I am deeply resonating with your interest in how the mind works, indeed “…there is science behind Steps to Knowledge.”
Tonia_Denmark:  Other/later sorrry not use to rhymes in English
Alex_Christ_Parkinson:  Keeping the voice low is left for tomorow!!! For today I speak freely!! For the world is in a hurry!!! I cannot hold myself back no more!!! For that would only entertain the bore!!!
52457:  Hello everyone. For me the one thing that stood out was the essential aspect of passivity with regard to stillness practice. The constant rooting and searching of the mind is subtle and goes often unseen, how pervasive the minds attempt to control experience.
Cole_Boulder:  @Maureen, thank you! The science behind meditation is what initially attracted me to a daily practice, before later finding STK. Indeed, we need only exert our will. Why stay stuck in thoughts? I have found the only recurrent reason is: they captivate me.
Inhee_Korea:  @MarkBerger resonating “Is there something I need here? Is there something I need to know here? Is there something I need to do here?”
Paul_MA:  Kristina–yes….. Going into Stillness is not a Passive Act, but a Very Conscious Act…One must actively watch and listen, when one goes into Stillness….
rayhobbs_Colorado:  A strong mind will always influence a weaker mind. A strong mind can to a certain degree control a weaker mind. This happens even if the stronger person is not trying to cast an influence or persuade anyone to do anything. The fact that his or her mind is more concentrated and less conflicted, with greater intention and self-determination, will have an impact upon other minds that are less focused and less concentrated.
Rosa_UK:  @Jeanine this struck me deeply which I had not noticed before: Here you begin to realize increasingly that who you are is not your mind, and that your mind is either a window or a wall. Either it enables you to look onto the world, or it prevents you from seeing altogether. And you want to keep this window clean and clear. You do not want it to become clouded and dirty because you want to use it to look out into the world. It is your little command center for being in the world. You want to use it and learn how to use it effectively. You want to use it to discern the real meaning of people and places and events, and the real meaning of your own experience.
Paul_MA:  Hi Alex, how did you learn of the New Message from God?
Jim B. Upstate NY:  I remember many years ago when I was drinking and using. My life was full of grandiose ideas, dreams, fantasies etc. My life was unmanageable to a great extent. Then I became sober and the dreams faded away as my mind began to become more clear and I started seeing things and feeling things I never did before. Then I began searching for some kind of truth…some kind of meaning for my life never realizing it was and is in me all the time. As my time with being sober increased so did my agitation, my resentment, my anger and frustration at the world and others. This lead to judgment of others on a daily basis and the condemnation that comes along with these feeling from the mind and its desires and ideas of what my life should be like and what it really is. After finding the NM and beginning to do the steps and work at my practice things have changed so much that it makes me cry at times with joy on where I have been, what happened to me and where it is I am now. More importantly now…
Jim B. Upstate NY:  … is where I am going, with whom and to do what. Yet, now I realize and feel that I am here to serve. And in giving of myself I can begin to receive the blessings of the NM, from my Teachers and Heaven if I do the work consistently! This is the true factor for me…to do the work asked of me to do. I want to thank Marshall, Patricia, Reed, The Society, and my fellow students for doing this work with me. Most importantly a BIG thank you to MVS for giving us the true example to follow full of humility, wisdom and grace!! Nasi Novare Coram
Alex_Christ_Parkinson:  What you need to do is remember that which is true!!! Change your habits so that you release the conflict!!! For where I stand, you have all made amends!!! It is only in you that you still cling unto!!! That which is dead for the choices in your heads!!!
Mike_LF_CAL:  @Alison, I find myself focusing on the same aspects “Am I accepting a low-quality form of meditation just to check it off my list?”
Rakhshan_Netherlands:  “This is not a casual persuit, this is not something you do periodically, when you are disenchanted with the world and you want answers”
Serena M_NM:  @ Alison: that stood out for me too. I often feel like I’m just showing up but not really focusing, and that I “close my eyes and hope for the best.”
Rakhshan_Netherlands:  story of my life
Shane – New Zealand:  “In conversation with others, listen for what they are really saying. To do this, you have to still your mind and just be quiet, listening. Much of what you hear will be irrelevant, insignificant or even untrue, but you are listening for what is really happening within them. Since people are rarely aware of their own real experience in the moment, you will be able to hear things in them and serve them and speak perhaps more directly to what you are hearing and seeing. This shifts your conversation from being superficial and insignificant into a deeper arena where a true engagement may be possible.”
JeffreyAdler_ATL:  Beautiful, JimB, thank you.
jeanine_Society:  @Rosa – I too was struck by that quote: “…your mind is either a window or a wall. Either it enables you to look onto the world, or it prevents you from seeing altogether.” “Thank you for sharing..”…your little Command Center…”
Richmond_UK:  @Paul how the exact mechanism of going below the personal mind works is something I cannot explain. All I know is that when I’m in stillness, free from the personal mind, the contrast is like night and day. I have found to get there requires constant daily practise.
rayhobbs_Colorado:  @Alex_Christ_Parkinson: True kindness is not condescending. It does not patronize people. It does not use affected behavior to win friends or to gain advantages. It is kind because it is understanding. It is compassionate because it is understanding. In our presentations to you, we challenge you and we nurture you. We acknowledge you and we prompt you forward. We present great challenges and we validate great abilities. We do not value falseness, but we do value sincerity. This is kindness. How we regard you is a model for how you can regard others. We understand the world’s tribulations and its little joys. Having found Knowledge and having joined together in true relationship, we can look upon you with great understanding and offer a greater promise. This is kindness.
MarkBerger:  @Alison. Yes. “Just closing your eyes and hoping for the best” isn’t good enough and feels like a waste of time. I can’t waste any more time…time…is ticking away…can’t lose this opportunity in this stillness practice today…or tomorrow
Levy_Brazil:  Thanks, Shane. This passage clarifies for me a Step I did this week, for which I was missing a puzzle piece in understanding.
Lin_Boulder:  @MarkBerger, it is especially when facing a challenge in life and try to see, to know and to act, that it throws me back to the fact that how true I am a beginning student of K. The learning process is not so easy and graceful, but I am learning.
Joyanne_Canada:  thank you Jim B, resonating with that, I too weep with gratitude at times to see and feel that I am connecting with my natural self, and finding the purpose, meaning and direction and have found this New Message, The Messenger and everyone here.
Val_Westport:  Who are you, Alex, when you’re not being Christ? Why are you with us today?
Maria_Boulder:  @ Serena, “I close my eyes and hope for the best”…what a great question to ask ourselves! where is my attention actually…where is my intention!?
Mathieu_France:  “Now you must exert real effort to redirect your mind, to refocus your mind and to realize who you are is not the mind. You want to keep that window clean and clear. You want to learn to use the mind as the beautiful vehicle of communication that it really is and that it is meant to be. It is the perfect servant. It should never be the master. And it makes a very poor god.”
Jeanne_Boulder:  @ Jim B thanks for sharing
Rosa_UK:  @ Maureen yes ‘the awareness of the awareness’ and to pay attention… so important thank you
Kristina FL:  “in time you will realize that everything you do is a practice and a reinforcement, [that] everything you think is a practice and a reinforcement, that you are practicing and reinforcing all the time, whether you are aware of it or not.”
MaryS_Boulder:  Interesting, Val, that as you asked, who, who are you, Alex, my hunch was tending toward Arthur wearing a different hat here. He is wonderful, isn’t he?
57591:  Hello everyone
Sang Hyun_CA_Korea:  Hi everyone, I am late again.
Cole_Boulder:  @Shane – thank you for this quote. This is a necessary practice for me to stay centered at work
Josef Austria:  Hello everyone!
MaryS_Boulder:  Sang! My man!
MaryL_CO:  @Ali, Kristin, all:” If you just show up every day to do a meditation experience, well, it will have little or no quality if you do not bring your full attention to it.” For that practice to have value I have to hold it with greater intention…to go deeper rather than a habitual but weak intentional practice.
rayhobbs_Colorado:  @@Alex_Christ_Parkinson: P.S. Do not confuse kindness with being nice to everyone. Do not confuse kindness with acting sweetly or with stimulating people’s vanity by complimenting them when compliments have not been earned. …. We accept your liabilities without valuing them. We accept your limits without valuing them. This is kindness. We are compassionate because we know what it means to pass through the great threshold from being an isolated and separate individual to becoming a greater participant in the evolution and the expression of life.
Raoul_Australia:  @Shane, that stood out for me too: “…you will be able to hear things in them and serve them and speak perhaps more directly to what you are hearing and seeing. This shifts your conversation from being superficial and insignificant into a deeper arena where a true engagement may be possible.” I have been working on that aspect for a while and just a bit more of attention on that aspect has helped me a lot.
Ramona_Ro:  Interesting.
Maureen_Boulder:  @ Cole. It was interesting for me to see the science connection. The author is missing the important link to Knowledge and that all minds are connected and other more important connections about purpose, meaning, direction, why we are here, God, the Messenger, the Message, what’s happening to the world…..
mellany UK:  “The Creator of all life has given humanity the teaching in Steps to Knowledge as a pure pathway to follow.” The reality of this is beyond my comprehension, but in my heart is such deep gratitude to have found NMG and STK. .. for the work and devotion of The Messenger and The Assembly, and for the patience, love and guidance of my Spiritual Family. It is overwhelming …beautiful…miraculous.
Cameron_Canada:  @Jim Thank you for your comments. I feel and have experienced a very similar story.
Mike_LF_CAL:  “Like climbing a mountain, it is a series of steps, and actually a series of thresholds as well, where you have to choose again to keep going—thresholds where you lose heart, or you try to compromise yourself, thinking that what you have is good enough, that you will be satisfied with where you are. But Knowledge will keep you moving up this mountain, for you must climb this mountain to have a clear view of the panorama of your life and of the world, a life and a world you cannot see in the valleys and lowlands below.” I have been journeying up this mountain, the mountain of Kn now for approaching 5 years and I still feel that Kn is elusive for me, e.g. I do not sense Kn communicating to me or through me as yet and this is becoming more and more disconcerting to me. I am either the perfect student & therefore Kn flows from me all the time which I obviously know is not the case or… I am not doing something correctly. This is the dilemma that is surfacing in me now… Am I unaware when…
Mike_LF_CAL:  … Kn is communicating through me or to me? Or, am I still in need of more training? Or, is it just that I am impatient? Right now it is frustrating and somewhat disconcerting.
David V Fr:  This emphasis on cultivating your intent while you practice, I felt like this could really change my life and experience further and make a difference. I guess we all have had practices that stood out, I think about these and how beneficial they are
Matt_bzn:  Thank you Jim B
Paul_MA:  Mathieu- yes that resonates..One difficulty that I am grasping for is related to “you learn how to train the mind to think along certain lines so that it can resonate with this deeper intelligence within you”… how do you interpret that?
Cameron_Canada:  can anyone see my post? It is not showing up here.
mellany UK:  Yes, Cameron.
Jorge_Spain:  Yes Cameron, it’s visible
nenette_istanbul:  ”… spiritual practice is about bringing your surface mind, your social personal mind—the mind that has been formed and created by your social conditioning, by your family and by your experiences in the world—to bring this mind into contact with the power and the presence of Knowledge within yourself. ”
Joyanne_Canada:  Deepening your Spiritual Practice gives us many tools and skills to utilize for developing a stronger engagement with Knowledge within us. I also found The Watchtower Revelation has additional or expanded practices that gain us more skill in discernment. http://newknowledgelib…50871
Debbie_MI:  @mellany-I so totally agree! It really is amazing and I feel such gratitude.
Joyanne_Canada:  “The Watchtower—looking within yourself and scanning your inner world. The Watchtower—looking to the outside and scanning your environment and discerning what is coming over the horizon.” [1]
“The Watchtower is a spiritual practice, something you learn to do. You sit quietly and watch the world without judgment and without conclusions. You sit quietly and watch others without judgment and without conclusions, trying to feel the mental environment, listening for Knowledge as you do so. Here you listen to others. Instead of being caught up in your conversation, you listen to hear and to experience their deeper nature and their true condition at this moment. Here you are not judging them. Instead, you are discerning them. You are present to them. And if this is carried out correctly, you will learn a great deal about them in a short time. You will also feel compassion towards them; you will understand them, and you will not deny their humanity.
Kristina FL:  Thank you Mike for sharing your experience.- Knowledge is silent 90% of the time.
James_Boulder:  I was struck by the emphasis on the “passive attitude” How often, whether it is in meditation or in being in the world am I busy with the mind trying to get somewhere, trying get away from something… this sort of effort keeps me linear, keeps me 2D. Yet when the passive attitude is present the horizontal axis opens, it becomes 3d, it moves away from the constant right and wrong of the thinking mind and allows for a judge-less state of being.
Levy_Brazil:  @Mike, my understanding of this is that Knowledge does not speak with a Big Yes to me all the time, it’s very rare. At the same time, the Teachings say Knowledge always have a message for me.
Debbie Plano:  @Shane – this practice resonates with me also. I like to think of it as sitting with Knowledge as I am listening to another. How does Knowledge respond? How does Knowledge see this person? Do I need to respond? It provides a deeper listening for me when I picture/feel myself in stillness sitting with Knowledge while I’m listening to someone. The habit of not really listening to someone and listening only with my mind is not easy to break, but worth the effort.
MaryS_Boulder:  What comes up for me on resuming a School session is the practices! The gifts that come directly from the School designers. They are fantastic.
Raoul_Australia:  @Mike, like the quote you posted mentions, “…thresholds where you lose heart…”, I think it is part of the journey to feel how you feel, sometimes, but in my recent experience a quiet Knowledge means just to keep going. It will speak when necessary.
Paul_MA:  Mike. resonates… Kg may be waiting for you to do certain things, pass thru some thresholds before it speaks again…it may be waiting ahead for you on your journey and that there are certain things that you need to do, to choose, to decide upon and then do…maybe at that point Kg will give you the next set of directives….
LaRaeUK:  Beautifully expressed James
Lin_Boulder:  Thanks Paul_MA, so true.
Cameron_Canada(2):  sorry – had to change computers
Selma London:  “When you are thinking about the future, do not simply think about what you are going to get for yourself, or your fear of losing what you have, or your fear of what may happen to you and to the world. Instead, look over the horizon of life to see what you can see. Within your mind, look over the horizon of life to see what you can see. Ask yourself: What is coming for the world? And what must I do to prepare? This is considering the future from a place of clarity and observation.” Deepening Your Spiritual Practice
Alison_Boulder:  @Paul, well said.
Mike_LF_CAL:  Yes Levy, Kn is a bit of a conundrum…
Raoul_Australia:  Me too James, the ‘passive attitude’, not trying to control the result is so important. The mind will often try to do that.
Rudy_Boulder:  @ Paul, Somewhere is the New Message it does state that you are waiting for Knowledge, but Knowledge is waiting for you to act.
Levy_Brazil:  @Mike, I remember Reed sharing that sometimes when we feel stuck, somewhere in a specific Teaching (which we have to search for) there’s a key that unlocks the way.
Cole_Boulder:  @Maureen, that is quite the missing link! What is the beginning of this awareness of Knowledge, I think, is the recognition that there is something beyond the mind which can direct the mind. As William James wrote in the Principles of Psychology “the faculty of voluntarily of bring back a wandering attention, over and over again, is the very root of judgement, character and will.”
Jennie_The Netherlands:  @Selma, thanks for this.
Joyanne_Canada:  thanks Cole, great quote
Shrimayi Netherlands:  @Alison yes I was reading this ,and yes I experienced that without this focus practising is without meaning.
Richmond_UK:  @James – an interesting perspective, thanks for sharing.
Russell_Sask:  Well it looks like spring sprang up here in the prairies. Finally our snow is gone and +25 celcius yesterday thank goodness for a breeze.
jeanine_Society:  Thank you Everyone for providing all your good examples of what struck you most in this revelation – it is good we have 2 months to focus on it is just brimming over with guidelines and wisdom –
Kristina_Boulder:  Sincerity and motivation. Why am I doing this anyways? If I put minimal effort into this, I will get minimum results, this is true for many things, not just STK. I realized that I need to revisit my intentions and renew my commitment and refresh my motivation in order to go deeper. When you know why you are doing something, you have a different attitude about it and different motivation.
Russell_Sask:  But there is no climate change rite?
MaryS_Boulder:  If you want some background reading on the subject of some of the Practices that WORK SO MUCH BETTER in the School environment than solo, there’s Ira Progoff’s At a Journal Workshop, a book I can only handle a few chapters every few decades, but to witness how he was receiving similar concepts as have landed here, that is impressive. I give him points for his tedious style, marks for “must be original to be that bad.”
Mike_LF_CAL:  Kristina, Levy, Raoul, Paul, Your thoughts are greatly appreciated!
Insuk_Korea:  @Selma, that quote stood out to me as well. Thank you.
Jim B. Upstate NY:  Some great things being said here too many to count. I remember MVS saying something to the effect that we will only get 15-20% of what is being expressed to us from the NM it’s that deep” I’ve learned in my experiences that things take time to develop. Many things take time. The NM is so deep and encompasses so many things that I must stay with certain things that touch my nature and inner design more so than others. This has been working thus far. Yet, when the time comes for Stillness my mind wanders. However, the more I practice stillness and focus the better I am becoming in it. It is going to take me a life time to do this. May be more than this life because of when I found the NM and because of my practice habits. But I remember Patricia saying “Do it anyways”. This stays with me. Finding the NM is a blessing for us all and the outcomes are out of our hands. My practice is about me but what I need to do…what we need to do is for the world, and for others. This brings me great…
Jim B. Upstate NY:  … joy to realize that I am here to give and to receive. But its not what I choose but what has been chosen for me. Things are not always as they seem.
Levy_Brazil:  Thanks, Paul
Joyanne_Canada:  great wisdom @Kristina, another way to deepen our Spiritual Practice, thank you
Virpi_Finland:  About passive attitude, there is somewhere in Steps this guidance for meditation that has stayed in my mind (paraphrashing): “Do not attempt anything, do not hide anything.” Perhaps one could apply this to listening in the world too?
Mike_LF_CAL:  @Levy, where is that key?
Maureen_Boulder:  @ Rudy Yes, “to act”.
Kristina FL:  Thank you Kristina
Jansett_Boulder:  @Jim B, thank you for your moving testimony earlier and I applaud your fortitude. What strikes me is that no matter what life circumstances “tumbled” us toward the New Message, we seem to be drawn like iron filings to the Great Magnet of Knowledge, and in time It leads us to that place of quiet inner knowing where we realize that it’s not about us at all; it is all about service. Still, it IS all about us deepening our spiritual practice so that we may come to that place of naturally unfolded service as Knowledge directs us.
Maria_Boulder:  @ Paul (Mike), I also have had this experience, and I know our Messenger has also addressed this- if I have not already followed through on some piece that Knowledge has shown me (the next step- however small), then why do I expect it to give me more…I must show sincerity and the capacity for follow through (my paraphrase ofcourse!)
MVS Society:  Cole you cannot make Knowledge a science, for science is withing the domain of the mind and Knowledge is beyond it.
Levy_Brazil:  @Mike, I meant the key is some passage/teaching we must find and go through individually, that unlocks the way / next steps for us individually
Shrimayi Netherlands:  It is your spiritual practice that will take you there. And in time you will realize that everything you do is a practice and a reinforcement, [that] everything you think is a practice and a reinforcement, that you are practicing and reinforcing all the time, whether you are aware of it or not. So here you choose to practice what really needs to be practiced, to utilize the gifts of Knowledge and the great Revelations that have been given throughout time and the great Revelation that is now being given to humanity through a New Message from God.
May the power and presence of Knowledge guide you and bless you and teach you what is good from what only looks good, and show you the real current of your life and the pathway to connect with others. Only Knowledge knows these things, and it is these things that you most desperately need. May this power guide you, correct you, restrain you and prepare you for a greater life and a greater service to the world.
Ellen_Society:  Please feel free to continue this conversation, while I add in the second question for the day:
What major challenges or obstacles to daily practice are you experiencing? What do you find stands in your way, and how do you feel at this point that you can resolve these obstacles?
Douglas_St.Paul:  I need my body to feel the astronomy of Knowledge.
Selma London:  As a dance movement psychotherapist I used my body as a vehicle to work with a client – in other words I had to know my own physical state really well, have my own baseline and even do some bodywork, before starting a session to establish myself within myself, and then taking on the other person & working with them. A superficial example of this might be the common occurrence of someone insisting they’re not angry, whereas you can actually feel their anger – it’s palpable. In particular with psychotherapy we are taking on the unconscious physical and emotional experience of the other and bringing it to light. After the session, my own personal state is ‘reconstructed’ so that I come back to myself – of course, part of that is being present enough in the session to be able to reflect back on it.
Now I’m realising that I can do something similar in various mental environments, where I can listen intently to someone else and still come back to my own mental baseline, as long as it is…
Selma London:  … well-established and I know myself well enough. And really, I’m not just getting caught up & carried away by others’ thoughts, but able to relate deeply whilst still maintaining that contact with my own ability to observe back afterwards. So I’m not actually lost to the moment, and yet present in a way that is fully engaged. This includes remembering insights that come during the sessions and in the middle of conversations.
And it is important to be able to switch these abilities on and off, so as not to be going around picking everything up! Thus I must stay inner-directed, with Knowledge: “Watch the world and listen within yourself.” Deepening Your Spiritual Practice
Sang Hyun_CA_Korea:  Hi MaryS(9:21), I was reading from the beginning.
Carolyn_CT:  I am impressed with the inner revolution aspect. At time, the mind resists so strongly, so relentlessly: “To undergo this shift from your beliefs to the power and presence of Knowledge is a tremendous journey that you take. It is like a revolution within yourself, but a revolution that happens slowly and incrementally. And the power that brings this about is entirely natural. It represents a deeper and more profound education and is an essential part of your evolution and development as an individual in the world.”
“For you were sent here for a greater purpose, and that purpose is kept by Knowledge within yourself, awaiting the time when you would have the maturity and the seriousness about your life to sincerely inquire and to prepare for the emergence of this Knowledge.”

Levy_Brazil:  @Mike, by a miracle, found the original comment here, about the “key”:

Reed_Society: @Janette, @Shawn — As time goes by and as our lives change and reposition, as the prevailing need in our life shifts, like a wind or a current changing beneath or above us, calling for us to go a different way, I feel its so important to go back into the message, to go scan the list of single Revelations and Chapters and to see what calls to you, at that moment. Each Revelation and Chapter is like a navigational key, meant for a certain aspect of our development, at a certain time, and that to identify that text, to go read it several times, really engage with it, really hold your life up to it and let it shine through, this is critical. A number of times in my life, it was going to read one single revelation, or even to read one line in a revelation, that dislodged me from a stuck state, that compelled me to act without assurance, or that gave me the courage to press beyond an inner/outer…

Levy_Brazil:  … limitation. In essence, i feel its so important to “be moved” by this message. It is a force that…(2:49PM)
Reed_Society: … can help fill your sails and keep you moving on the oceans of life, but it requires really going into a single place in the Revelation, and really responding to it what it is saying, responding in action, in decision, in commitment.(2:49PM)
Raoul_Australia:  In a crashing world, the only happiness will be “…service to others, according to your original design and intent.” The ‘pursuit of happiness’ without Knowledge is bound to fail, and will be a visible failure in the new world.
Levy_Brazil:  (From December 31, 2016’s chat, I believe)

Ellen_Society:  I learned that STEPS TO KNOWLEDGE itself would show me what I was resisting and not seeing.

I found that Step 2 perfectly described the human dilemma: “Knowledge is with me. Where am I?” This Step demonstrates profoundly why the study of STEPS TO KNOWLEDGE is so needed.

Steps then began taking me, gently but relentlessly, out of that dilemma. When I hit Step 282: “ I will learn to accept the responsibility of carrying Knowledge in the world.” I knew this Step was providing me with a great turning point. I began that shift within myself of realizing that I had a responsibility here.
………………………………………………………………………………………………………

Jennie_The Netherlands:  @Ellen, my mind stands in the way, my thinking. I than I see this happening and going back to stillness again, but than I find myself thinking again about solutions of problems. Than I say to myself, I NEED knowledge! I really need Knowledge now.
Debbie_MI:  @Shrimayl-This passage also spoke to me very powerfully. I felt empowered and blessed by reading and reflecting on this passage.
Mike_LF_CAL:  @Jim_B, thanks for that reminder “…do it anyways” that’s why am and will continue putting one foot in front of the other, …keep taking the steps…
Reed_Society:  In preparation for practicing meditation, I have found it very important to engage in a period of pre-practice: to stop and see how I’m doing and assess my intentions in that moment. I begin a conversation with myself: do you want to experience stillness right now? do you want to experience Knowledge? If not, what do you want? Do you really want that? Do you remember how good true stillness of mind feels? Do you remember how good feeling connected to Knowledge has been for you in the past? I think about what I want to do in that moment, and how often there is a deeper need underlying the desire for distraction, for stimulation. There is a deeper dismay at the tendency to overdo, to remain trapped on the surface of my mind, to run and keep ahead of a backlog of experience. And there are memories of those times of how great stillness and connectivity to a greater reality felt to me. And so, in this pre-practice time, I talk to myself, gather my experience together, clarify my intentions…
Reed_Society:  … and confirm that actually Knowledge is the true desire underneath so many thoughts, and impulses and activities. After this, my mind so often naturally aligns behind the practice in stillness and perhaps a truth I would state to myself: “I seek Knowledge beneath and beyond all things in life.” “I want nothing more than to be still and to feel Knowledge again.” These statements become my mantra and my mind backs them with conviction instead of ambivalence. This act of pre-practice and of clarifying my intentions before practicing stillness has actually deepened my meditations in tremendous ways over the past year. This has confirmed a truth that has been born out over the years for me: “In the end, you must want what you know: what you want, must align with what you know at key junctures in life in order to proceed.”
Raoul_Australia:  Thank you Levy, such a powerful quote from Reed!
MVS Society:  Mike LF, when Knowledge is moving you you will know it. It will be happening at a deeper level beyond the surface of the mind. Pray to Knowledge to move you where it must take you and be ready to respond and follow what it gives you to do. If you are not sure you can respond and follow this, then Knowledge may wait, waiting for you to be ready to do the work you really need to do.
Ken_Oklahoma:  I am also thankful for STK. Where would I be without it? Practicing hourlies and for longer periods regularly and consistently is my biggest challenge. During a busy work day I may not work in many hourlies. At the end of the day I recognize that I did not do many hourlies and that I need to be more consistent to advance. I have noticed that the days that I practice one or two longer stillness practices and many hourlies, that the day flows better and I am more ready for the challenges of the day and able to respond to them with greater inner calmness.
Cole_Boulder:  @MVS, thank you. I meant merely that if approached clearly, science can appreciate the manifestation and point to what it cannot explain. This was an aspect of my experience that led me to Steps
Maureen_Boulder:  @ MVS I see the science part of Steps as a physical means (a tool) on this side of bridge to cross the bridge to the Mystery on the other side of the bridge. Is that error thinking?
Mike_LF_CAL:  @Levy, acknowledged!
Shawn_Moose Jaw:  A major obstacle for me now is obligation. Obligation to friends, family, society, work,…. all I see to do now is simplify as best as I can,one by one and to take care of responsibilities as they arise without hesitation. To find that time for “nothing” to go on is a challenge in this busy life.
Debbie_MI:  Thank you for sharing your pre-practice Reed!
mellany UK:  “people are rarely aware of their own real experience in the moment, you will be able to hear things in them and serve them and speak perhaps more directly to what you are hearing and seeing”. This is something that I’m practising more. People are afraid, and are desperate for authentic relationship and true recognition. I remember that .. I still experience that. It drives me to want to receive, and to be able to give.
Raoul_Australia:  Thank you Reed, I will put that into my practice.
Joyanne_Canada:  Thank you Levy for that reminder, very helpful and inspiring to engage in the Practice Reed spoke of, this chat today is chalked full of greater understandings and perspectives that will move us all up this mountain. How Wonderful and expanding we become each week around this Campfire Chat that we are engaged in.
Levy_Brazil:  Thank you very much, Reed
Kristina FL:  Thank you Reed
Jorge_Spain:  Thank you @Reed
Rudy_Boulder:  Thank you for sharing your experience and intention before seeking stillness, Reed.
Kristina_Boulder:  @Ellen, I feel like I need to be more excited about my practice, something I had the 1st year when I did STK. I feel like I’ve lost it since then, so thats why I need to recommit myself and inspire myself. I try to remind myself that STK is an ancient practice, that was never given to humanity before, but is well known in other world. That we are blessed to have it available to us and that it’s the most pure and the best, most effective practice available to us at this moment. If I have the best of the best, what else do I need? I need to just apply myself.
nenette_istanbul:  Thank you @Ellen Society:
JeffreyAdler_ATL:  Yes, thank you, Reed. I will apply this to my attempt to overcome “monkey mind.”
Tom_SanFrancisco:  same, Ken, so busy at work. if i feel i missed too many hourlies, i repeat the step the next day.

Darlene_Society:  Over the years I have struggled with the “stillness” demand, but now I have felt the “engagement” to be about relationship…in practice to give myself, to be with Someone, not just me in my chair trying to be still, to be a good meditator or condemning myself when my mind wanders. There is relationship there. I am feeling that more and more, and giving myself to that engagement is primary for me now…and it carries over to being with another, it is the relationship that I have been open to and giving myself to…the “touch” as Wisdom refers to it. It is all about relationship…

“When you practice in meditation, you come to give yourself to it, and there is a response because your Teachers come to give themselves and that is the touch. That is where you touch each other. I give to you, you give to me and we share our mutual giving.” Wisdom I, Ch 15, Giving I

Mike_LF_CAL:  @Levy, great find!
jeanine_Society:  @MVS Thank you! “There are deeper currents moving your life—currents that have a certain direction, currents that are influenced by greater celestial powers.” – Deepening Your Spiritual Practice
Douglas_St.Paul:  Sometimes the hourlies instruct me to do something a little different than just rehearse the idea. I find it important to watch for those small differences.
Ellen_Society:  For new students,
I’d like to provide a little historical perspective on STEPS TO KNOWLEDGE.
The story of Steps is an epic one. It is a multi-millennia-long, awe-inspiring story of how Knowledge is at work in the universe. Down through the ages, this Steps pathway has been entrusted to other worlds in the Greater Community whose intended destiny was to keep Knowledge and freedom alive. That story is continuing to unfold into current time.NEVER BEFORE has it been gifted to this world, and it is a great honor that it is now bequeathed to us. It arrives in our hands directly from the Angelic Assembly, with great hopes and expectations that we will receive it with reverence. It represents a true life-preserver to the human family and it comes at a critical time. Will we recognize this enormous gift for what it is?… Honor it’s remarkable journey and its promise throughout the galaxies? Will we hold onto that life-preserver for dear life, and allow it to support us as we swim strongly…

Ellen_Society:  … to shore?

There is currently a Great Coordination effort, launched with the intent that this be so. We, as students of the New Message, are a part of that Great Coordination.
May we stay true to this great Journey.

Joyanne_Canada:  @Kristina, I can relate to re-dedication and recommitting, center line ourselves again and again, but still feeling moved to move forward.
Shrimayi Netherlands:  @ yes Debbie I felt this very powerful and blessed deeply felt this.
Kristina_Boulder:  Thank you Reed.
James_Boulder:  @Darlene yes thank you for that
Matt_bzn:  Thanks for that Darlene – I too am feeling more “The Sanctuary” element of my Stillness practice. Like nothing can touch me when I am there, and I can take it into the world with me when done. Very comforting…
Mike_LF_CAL:  @MVS, that is striking deeply, thank you!
Joyanne_Canada:  Thank you Ellen,
Jennie_The Netherlands:  @Darlene, that reminds me of the feeling, thank you for sharing
MaryS_Boulder:  @Reed, in broadcasts, the evidence of your intentional practice comes across in the deliberative way your sentences come out–people notice the wit and humor, and might not realize how the thoughts are very orderly. This takes long practice, at least for some of us, for sure.
Shawn_Moose Jaw:  Thank you Ellen for that perspective.
Lin_Boulder:  Thank you @Dar, I will try to learn that approach.
Jangsun_Korea:  Thank you Reed.
May_Norway:  Thank you @ Ellen Society
Jeanne_Boulder:  @ Darlene, Thanks for that, really needed to hear this:*)
Josef Austria:  Thank you Reed!
Joyanne_Canada:  Thank you Darlene, deepening our ability to be in that Sacred Relationship and carry it out into the world is awakening in me, I can resonate with what you described.
jeanine_Society:  @Ellen thank you for that history of Steps – a great introduction for The Steps Vigil, coming later this month…
nenette_istanbul:  Thank you @Reed .
Levy_Brazil:  Yes j9, thanks Ellen
JeffreyAdler_ATL:  Thank you, Ellen, for that back-to-basics context. So beautiful, so grateful.
Debbie Plano:  Thank you, Darlene for that powerful way to approach stillness. Beautiful!
Russell_Sask:  Egads the hour time warp thing is fast upon us. It goes by so fast when gathered. So much to say yet so much more to be silent and ponder before acting. Thank goodness for the Top of the Hour time out’s..
Matt_bzn:  Wow. Thank you Ellen. A great responsibility for us all…
MaryS_Boulder:  Oh, wait. Russell, was that you?
MVS Society:  Levy, think of Knowledge as a constant force within you attempting to orient you to your true direction in life and to keep you moving, despite all the influences of the world and the distractions within your own mind, in that true direction. This is why it seems quiet most of the time, yet always has a message for you. It is the attraction of the Divine living and working relentlessly within you.
Joyanne_Canada:  good insight Ken, observing where you are, where you have been and how engaged you were is a good practice. Reviewing our day gives us more determination to engage at a deeper level upon the next day. This is building a deeper Spiritual Practice.
Tonia_Denmark:  Interesting, Reed, thank you. Very useful and resonating with how things seem to be here. It is like I am in a very thick “in between” of which I can not quite yet sink into easily again, so techniques like these are very welcome
Raehyung_KOREA:  Thank you @Reed~!
Carolyn_CT:  Another thing that snaps me out of ambivalence is the urgency in TNM. Every moment I do not give to this, I am taking away from the world’s forward movement, I am holding back others, not only myself.
Russell_Sask:  Yes I am Russell from Saskatchewan
Maria_Boulder:  @ Reed- thank you! A seer I studied with said something very similar, in that we can not trick ourselves into wanting something other than what we actually want…but we can go deeper into what we seem to want, and get to know it better, and see what it is about, and in being with it in stillness and listening…something may shift…which in our cosmology would be Knowledge leading the mind, or as you stated “wanting what you know” (9:39) A beautiful practice of honesty!
Shrimayi Netherlands:  Q2 As Patricia said,I pause(if I understand it correctly)whenI have the feeling that I have done enough work. And I am tired,my mind tells me I can pause which means in my case also not doing the hourly’s and my fysical exercises I am used to do every day.Than
I am doing the minimum only meditate, because I cannot go out in the world without meditation, making the connection with the deeper part.
And I feel I need to overcome this habit, going beyond this.
For me it is the same part of me I connect with when I was falling apart, putting myself together, knowing that this was a huge opportunity to learn. It is this part that I experienced as a deep unending well of strength.
But now I am not falling apart like then.
It must be the knowing of urgency really feel this, that can act.
It is Knowledge the part of me that have never left God.
Levy_Brazil:  Thank you so much, Marshall
Joe_UK:  Thank you Reed, I also discovered recently that a period of preparation before listening to a Revelation helped me listen with more depth and concentration. Now I’m looking forward to practicing the the pre-preparation you mention for my stillness practices in this session.
nenette_istanbul:  Steps to Knowledge is the food of my spirit. I am blessed because I found it.
Raoul_Australia:  The Steps lead us to our “foundation beyond this world”. Feeling that foundation is an amazing source of strength in this life.
Insuk_Korea:  Thank you Reed for sharing “I begin a conversation with myself: do you want to experience stillness right now? do you want to experience Knowledge? If not, what do you want? Do you really want that? Do you remember how good true stillness of mind fee~~”
LaRaeUK:  For the last few months I have started reading The Messengers Prayer as a way to remind my personal mind of the critical importance my practice. It helps with focus and intention.
May_Norway:  Resonate @nenette istanbul
David V Fr:  That’s really interesting Reed, Thank you Darlene, and Ellen love the vision thank you
Maureen_Boulder:  Lots of inspiring, helpful guidance here. Thanks Reed.
Mike_LF_CAL:  @Kristina_Boulder, resonating with “…If I have the best of the best, what else do I need?”
Levy_Brazil:  Thanks, Maria
Jeanne_Boulder:  Thanks LaRae have started reading The Messengers Prayer as a way to remind my personal mind of the critical importance my practice. It helps with focus and intention.(
Cole_Boulder:  @Ellen, regarding question 2 on obstacles to practice – for the past several months consistency has been difficult, due often to time management and learning to balance my pillars. It is hard for me to get in two pillars a day let alone three…so for me now, learning how to most efficaciously use my time and what I am practicing regarding the essentials of my life, as well as eliminating the non-essentials, feels important – so when I finally do show up to practice, I can practice.
MVS Society:  I recommend that each of you make a list of all the directives given in this teaching and choose a few of them, which you feel especially speak to you, to practice each day of this coming week and to share with us your experience of doing this next week when we gather.
Jansett_Boulder:  @Reed, thank you for your pre-practice teaching. It feels like the perfect antidote to simple, rote behavior masking itself as spiritual practice, which unfortunately is easy to slip into when we aren’t being present. I will adopt this going forward; thanks again.
Lucille in Maine,US:  @Darlene_Society: Thank you for this. ” Over the years I have struggled with the “stillness” demand, but now I have felt the “engagement” to be about relationship…in practice to give myself, to be with Someone, not just me in my chair trying to be still, to be a good meditator or condemning myself when my mind wanders.” It’s a great simplifying, heart-of-the -matter focus for stillness practice.
Jennie_The Netherlands:  What helps me before listening to a revelation is to first clean the room, physically and than electrically with incense and protective symbols. The density of the energy in the room disappears. The noise from outside is than more quiet. The mind is more quiet as well. The Revelation is more clear and I understand better what is said.
May_Norway:  Thank you Marshall, I will do that !
Shawn_Moose Jaw:  Will do Marshall.
Val_Westport:  Thanks for the homework, Marshall!
MaryL_CO:  @Darlene, thank you for that perspective to turn the stillness practice from an accomplishment and therefore failing short of the goal and therefore being embroiled in mental judgement. Rather allowing myself to be open to a state of relationship…to being with as in “Knowledge is with me , where am I?”
Raoul_Australia:  I will do that, Marshall, I think I need to do that.
Ellen_Society:  Thank you are for sharing your unique ways of practice, as well as your challenges with practice. In this way we all help each other…..and we have 2 whole months to concentrate on this!
Joyanne_Canada:  @MVS, thank you for that quote. I am grateful the attraction of the Divine living and working relentlessly within us. In overcoming Separation we need all the help we can get, as we forge forward.
Ellen_Society:  All, instead of are
Shrimayi Netherlands:  I will do Marshall
Levy_Brazil:  Thanks for the insights into preparation before listening Revelations, Joe and Jennie
Tonia_Denmark:  Thank you, Marshall
nenette_istanbul:  quote; ”Like climbing a mountain, it is a series of steps, and actually a series of thresholds as well, where you have to choose again to keep going—thresholds where you lose heart, or you try to compromise yourself, thinking that what you have is good enough, that you will be satisfied with where you are. But Knowledge will keep you moving up this mountain, for you must climb this mountain to have a clear view of the panorama of your life and of the world, a life and a world you cannot see in the valleys and lowlands below.”
Raoul_Australia:  I always remember this phrase from The One God: “But be of good cheer, for a great Message is being sent into the world from the Creator of all life in the universe. Have greater confidence…”
Debbie_MI:  At times I have found practicing stillness to be challenging because my mind may feel distracted by every day life. There are two things I have found particularly helpful for that challenge. The first thing is that I periodically review the requirements for stillness. The other thing most recently I have done is create a dedicated closet area in my bedroom to help with stillness. Somehow, the fact that it is an enclosed space helps to visually remind me of the importance of stillness and focus on my practice.
Levy_Brazil:  Thanks, Raoul
Lin_Boulder:  It speaks to your nature, Raoul
Carolyn_CT:  Yes, thank you Reed. I needed to hear this example of how one can well prepare for going into stillness.
Matt_bzn:  GREAT reminder Raoul
Kelvin_Boulder:  @Kristina – It helps me to think of Steps and the teachings as a relationship, a life long relationship that must be cultivated because I have purpose and destiny with it. Perhaps I was more “excited” in the beginning, just like in a worldly relationship, then the honey moon is over the initial excitement is over, and we enter into the core movement of the relationship, What are we meant to do together? Purpose and accountability to others. Accountability I find, gives me all the motivation I need. We students must be strong for others and for the NM.
jeanine_Society:  Thank you Marshall for that invitation – I find making these lists of directives really helps to organize my mind and to helps me to easily see which ones are calling to me – “I recommend that each of you make a list of all the directives given in this teaching and choose a few of them, which you feel especially speak to you, to practice each day of this coming week and to share with us your experience of doing this next week when we gather.”
Raoul_Australia:  A good reason to be of good cheer!
Russell_Sask:  Big round of quiet mental hugs to my friends
Ellen_Society:  The hour has arrived so let’s stop briefly and take a moment to be still and listen within ourselves and listen without. “Imagine you have great huge ears that go all the way to the floor. You are like a radar antennae.” – Inner Listening, Chp 20, Wisdom Volume I
Levy_Brazil:  Back to you, Russell
Russell_Sask:  Stay Safe Play Safe Stay Focussed
nenette_istanbul:  Thank you @MVS ; I recommend that each of you make a list of all the directives given in this teaching and choose a few of them, which you feel especially speak to you, to practice each day of this coming week and to share with us your experience of doing this next week when we gather.”
Cole_Boulder:  @Kelvin – thanks for sharing your experience, much wisdom there
rayhobbs_Colorado:  Rahn … .. Nasi Novare Coram
Virpi_Finland:  I think my obstacle now is not taking seriously enough my normal human physical limits. Trying to meditate when too tired or pre-occupied with something that I really need to do, for example. Dragging this body along in life is a lot of work, and I must give it the work and time it needs, so that I can do my spiritual work properly.
Jeanne_Boulder:  @ Debbie, I can remember Patricia saying once about her meditation in a close in an enclosed space
Darlene_Society:  @Raoul…this goes on my mirror…””But be of good cheer, for a great Message is being sent into the world from the Creator of all life in the universe. Have greater confidence…” every time the world muddies my mind’s eye…

15752:  Thank you Darlene for “When you practice in meditation, you come to give yourself to it, and there is a response because your Teachers come to give themselves and that is the touch. That is where you touch each other. I give to you, you give to me and we share our mutual giving.” It warms my heart!
Raoul_Australia:  @Darlene, yes! It really helps on those occasions
justin-calif-!:  I have to run, gang- thanx for all your wisdom and inspiration-(will post pics!)-NNC!
Shrimayi Netherlands:  @Darlene thank you “When you practice in meditation, you come to give yourself to it, and there is a response because your Teachers come to give themselves and that is the touch. That is where you touch each other. I give to you, you give to me and we share our mutual giving.” Wisdom I, Ch 15, Giving I(5:44PM)
JeffreyAdler_ATL:  Kelvin, thank you for sharing that great insight.
Alison_Boulder:  @Virpi, that’s what I’m feeling, too. Inspired by another, a lunch break meditation has worked better for me, when my mind is spinning and desires a reprieve, rather than trying to meditate when I’m first coming out of a night’s sleep, for example. “Taking seriously the normal human physical limits”, yes thanks.
nenette_istanbul:  Thank you @Carol for all reminders.
Raehyung_KOREA:  Naci Novare Coram
Serena M_NM:  @ Ellen: funny I was thinking about that quote from Wisdom 1 this morning. It really does help me to imagine that.
Kristina_Boulder:  I feel connection to the Greater Community, so knowing that SKT is preparing us for that and is, in a way, Universal practice gives me motivation to keep going. Knowing that because it was given from the Source, it can not harm me.
Shrimayi Netherlands:  In meditation you allow your body to be a tempel where you have a meeting with your teachers.
Patricia_Society:  @ Jim B Upstate NY – regarding gratitude for our being able to participate together here with the NM in hand. Oh Jim, thank you….For so many years there was a huge imperative pushing us on, calling us, requesting us to meet the needs of the Revelation, to find the ways to render it, to find the ways to make it available, to be present the needs of others…to be strong and reality based regarding our Pillar building, to be willing to go underground, and serve there if needed, to provide sub-structure and support and stability, to keep going, to keep going…to get the NM to certain place in the world by a certain time…the pressure, an ever growing Revelation, a struggling yet devoted few around a Messenger, all in deep obscurity…Brings tears to my eyes…the request, the need, the huge need of the Revelation, of the people of this place and world…. A larger body of brilliance relying upon a fragile few in Separation….surely there was Grace, otherwise, I don’t know we’d still…
Patricia_Society:  … be standing or even still here…the Grace, the maturing within role and responsibility, the holding to each other and to the Message and to the man…
Jeanne_Boulder:  Nasi Novare Coram:*) good day to all & thanks for sharing your wisdom with all of us
Inhee_Korea:  Thank you Marshall it will do me very good.
Douglas_St.Paul:  @Kelvin, I recently did the step which said “in time, others will be called,” as in, “to practice Steps.” It seems to be a little more involved than just someone’s choice, but yes, I will be strong for those future students.
Ilhun_Korea:  @Raehyung: Great to see here.
Robert_Society:  Thank you all. Nasi Novare Coram
Reed_Society:  Just want to share something that has been up for me regarding the experience of this teaching in the way of Knowledge in our lives. In my experience, there are two very different ways that the Way of Knowledge has manifested in myself and in others. There is actually moving in life at the level of people, place and purpose and engaging in the way of Knowledge to support and direct that movement. And then there is not moving in life, and seeking the way of Knowledge to make this experience acceptable, to give it meaning, purpose and direction. The difference in the manifestation, the feel, the flavor of the two experiences is night and day. In those times of real movement in my life, there is a vitality, an aliveness, a rightness and here the practice in Knowledge finds a correct scope and application — to keep me moving, and there is a down-to-earth focus in my studenthood, an attentiveness to what is in front of me vs a fear/infatuation with what is far ahead of me. When I am not…
Reed_Society:  … moving in life, idealisms form, self struggle can build, the quest to “be a good student” or even delusions of grandeur regarding Knowledge, relationship and levels of experience. The importance of real movement in our inner and outer lives is such a key, otherwise the way of Knowledge can indeed become another form of looking good in a life that was never meant to be. Here, in essence, there is looking the part, and then there is living the part. I have gone in and out of both experiences, but the feel of each is so very different.
Mike_LF_CAL:  @MVS (8:55), thanks for the home work assignment!
Virpi_Finland:  Yes Douglas, I feel that too. We need to be the pillar and strong foundation for the future students.
Tonia_Denmark:  Thank you, Ellen. A good advice. I remember how I in the beginning imagined putting my ear to the rail tracks to practice listening. It worked very well. Resonating with what you say.
Alison_Boulder:  ADVOCACY GATHERINGS every Thursday at Uberconference.com/NewMessage 6:30pm MDT & 7pm GMT for time spent with one another under Society guidance to give forth the New Message. If you are new, I’d love to add you to the mailing list and connect you to our community of Advocates. May your practice deepen with simple service.
Lucille in Maine,US:  @MVS Society: Thank you for this specific assignment for the week, Marshall. A fine focus for my scattered surface mind to serve a higher meaning and purpose this week. “I recommend that each of you make a list of all the directives given in this teaching and choose a few of them, which you feel especially speak to you, to practice each day of this coming week and to share with us your experience of doing this next week when we gather.”
Val_Westport:  Thank you for this time together around the Sacred Fire, as we learn more about who we are and who we are for each other and our world. It is a creative conversation and a great dance that we perform here together as service to God. We are in the Presence of the Source and the Reason and the Meaning of our lives. Nasi Novare Coram.
Cole_Boulder:  Thank you Reed
Mathieu_France:  I came across this in Steps recently: “Your part is very small and Our part is very great. You need only follow the steps and utilize them. The steps that are given will guarantee the result.” and felt that this guarantee was a strong statement. There is so much confusion in this life, and the way at times feels so uncertain and mysterious, I am glad we have this line of practice to hold on, with the guarantee that it will lead us somewhere. Guarantee almost feels like a too strong word, in face of all the uncertainty. yet the Assembly chose it in purpose, I assume. “our part is very great makes sense”.
jeanine_Society:  Thank you Everyone for your participation in such a beautiful Chat today -Here is a Blessing taken from the last verse of ‘Deepening Your Spiritual Practice’: “May the power and presence of Knowledge guide you and bless you and teach you what is good from what only looks good, and show you the real current of your life and the pathway to connect with others. Only Knowledge knows these things, and it is these things that you most desperately need. May this power guide you, correct you, restrain you and prepare you for a greater life and a greater service to the world.” Nasi Novare Coram.
Matt_bzn:  I had to read that one twice Reed. Incredible insight and very helpful.
Raoul_Australia:  Thank you Patricia, I really feel that “….surely there was Grace, otherwise, I don’t know we’d still be standing or even still here…the Grace, the maturing within role and responsibility, the holding to each other and to the Message and to the man…” Grace, the Unseen Ones…so with us in these chats too. We are so blessed to be close to the Center, the Messenger, and the Hub, the Society.
nenette_istanbul:  ”The Creator of all life has given humanity the teaching in Steps to Knowledge as a pure pathway to follow. It is not the only pathway in the world, certainly, but it is pure and uncontaminated, and it is extremely powerful. But it requires a daily practice, for whatever you practice on a daily basis, you become very good at. You acquire the skills, the abilities and the strength to do something—even something that requires great ability—with tremendous ease and determination.” resonating …
Ken_Oklahoma:  Thanks Reed – “Here, in essence, there is looking the part, and then there is living the part.”
Joyanne_Canada:  Thank you so much Reed for the contrast in the experiences and what we can be attentive too in us to help us see more clearly aspects of our journey that will assist us moving forward.
Kelton_Calif:  @ Darlene Society: Thank you for sharing your approach to meditation and stillness. I resonate very much with what you shared and find it validating. I practice opening myself to receive as I breath deeply in and I give myself to my practice and the presence with each exhalation. Incorporating my breath into my practice in this way, I can feel the integration of mind, body and Spirit.
Maureen_Boulder:  Thank you Marshall, Reed, Patricia and everyone for this rich experience.
Ken_Oklahoma:  My we all live the Way of Knowledge!
Tonia_Denmark:  Interesting, Reed. Thank you.
LaRaeUK:  Oh Patricia I cannot imagine how all of you withstood such pressure all those years. I hope that we as students can help lighten the weight of your burden, The Messengers burden as well as The Society. We must all do our part to get this Message to the world. You have all truly given us The Greatest Gift ever received by mankind. Words simply cannot express the gratitude of our hearts.
Joyanne_Canada:  @Kelton; yes paraphrasing MVS: if you can’t still the mind focus on your breath, or one part of the physical body. I too use my breath to assist in stilling my mind, with the Na Rahn assisting me to focus on my breathing. thanks for sharing.
Matt_bzn:  @Kelton – Jeffrey shared with me your breathing practices and I do it now too. It is very helpful and thanks for the technique.
Mike_LF_CAL:  @Kelvin (8:59) what you said goes deep, wonderfully expressed brother!
MVS Society:  Yes Cole, science is appropriate in providing a framework and tools for taking the Steps to Knowledge. The NMG, through many revelations, provides the pathway, this framework and a great pallet of tools to use each day if we can remember to apply them and to increasingly pay attention to our deeper experience and to the world around us. Knowledge dwells in the realm of our deeper experience. Steps is here to take us there.
Kristina_Boulder:  “…otherwise the way of Knowledge can indeed become another form of looking good in a life that was never meant to be…” This reminds me of something that was said to me last night during a Kung Fu class, that it was design for fighting, otherwise it will just become a dance.

Ellen_Society:  There is a very extraordinary fact about Steps to Knowledge. It is a book that is ever fresh, ever relevant to what we are going through on any given day. It is a book containing such depth and breadth of wisdom that it seems to know us intimately, and to know precisely what we need in the moment.

Even after decades of study, I am astonished to find this is always true! Each Steps’ uncanny vision and piercing wisdom support our journey with exquisite care – and occasional prodding. This is true whatever our background and history, whatever our culture and patterns. Such a phenomenon is only possible from a New Message from God.

Mike_LF_CAL:  @Raoul, “A good reason to be of good cheer!”!!!!
Kristina_Boulder:  Thats true Ellen
Virpi_Finland:  Thank you all for enveloping me in your wisdom today, NNC.
Tonia_Denmark:  Sometimes I feel as if the mind has a mirror underneath, and the higher insight are shown in the depth of the mirror. The “how-high”, the “how-tall” are shown in a perfectly “opsige down
Levy_Brazil:  Thanks, Reed. This insight on two experiences, clarifies so much.

Jansett_Boulder:  “Our teaching is very simple. It takes time, it has many steps, but it is very unified. You can always come back to it. It is like an old friend who waits for you while you stop by the side of the road to ponder and think and imagine and dream. Then you come back and say,“Okay, let’s go on together.” And you go on together.

“All you can do in life is move with the purpose of your life or hesitate. Hesitation is unpleasant if it is prolonged, but Knowledge waits very patiently. Believe me, when I say you must wait for Knowledge, think how much Knowledge must wait for you! But because Knowledge is not trying to become anything, it can afford to wait.

“Your purpose here is to discover Knowledge and to allow it to guide your life. That is one way of saying it. Knowledge contains your true identity and your specific function in the world—what you are really here to do. It contains the Wisdom and the Love that you have brought with you. It is not the Wisdom you can personally…

Jansett_Boulder:  … claim for yourself because it is not only for you. It is for others, and it is hidden deep within you.” (Wisdom Volume I, “Enduring Happiness”)
Joyanne_Canada:  Beautiful Val: We are in the Presence of the Source and the Reason and the Meaning of our lives. Nasi Novare Coram
Reed_Society:  Thank you all, important opening Campfire chat of this session, leading us into the deep experience of the Steps Vigil which is approaching
Eron_Boulder:  Blessings everyone…Nasi Novare Coram
Val_Westport:  That’s interesting, Kristina; it reminds me that we get to choose the context for our lives: is is sacred or profane; is it a struggle, a fight–or is it a dance with others, to achieve something that wouldn’t have happened anyway?
Serena M_NM:  @ Kristina: I’m reminded of my former kung fu teacher, who would teach us the fighting applications of tai chi because “otherwise you’re just waving your hands around and don’t know why!”
Sang Hyun_CA_Korea:  Nasi Novare Coram
Will_Society:  Thank you all. This has been wonderful to be a part of.
MaryL_CO:  @Jansett and everyone: “Okay, let’s go on together.” Nasi Novare Coram
Jorge_Spain:  Thanks @Reed. Indeed one may misuse everything, even the Way of Knowledge. We are so prone to be self-deceiving…
jeanine_Society:  How you can help report errors and get help: newmessage.org/help
Richmond_UK:  Thank you everyone for today’s session. Nasi Novare Coram.
Patricia_Society:  @ Reed – the very real problem of compensation: To overly compensate in the direction of spirituality, and away from reality because a one cannot make the changes in one’s life that wait to be addressed. At times a kind of delusion can set in due to this tendency to compensate…The New Message is calling us all to do the real work we must do – both inner and outer….this is an important call to accountability that the Voice of the New Message and the Messenger continually make…
Levy_Brazil:  @Reed, this reminds me that being in the physical is about change, movement, being in motion. Before the NM I was even reluctant to use a watch, to constantly remind me of time. Now a watch is welcome, to remind me that time is precious and life must have movement. Thanks again for your insight on the two experiences.
Maria_Boulder:  Something that stood out for me in this revelation (that I would print the quote for, if I could only find it again!!) had to do with forgiveness…the distraction it is to not have completely forgiven events in my past, and the understanding that if (depsite my years and years of tremendous effort to force the issue!) I have not yet succeeded, then there is still more to learn from the experience that I have not let in…it is a clue to where I must put some attention…and thank you Marshall for the practice assignment (9:55) and some accountability to bring it to our next class!
Tonia_Denmark:  “*”upside-down” manner. So everything I do not see within above, is really shown below. Thats for the inside experiences. The outside experience is something I hope to do more of again eventually.
mellany UK:  Thank you, everyone! Nasi Novare Coram.
Mathieu_France:  Thank you all. Nasi Novare Coram
Raoul_Australia:  Thank you all, see you soon, Nasi Novare Coram
Darlene_Society:  Yes, Ellen, extraordinary Steps brought us together! And yes Mathieu, the guarantee is real, the promise of what is waiting if we do our part, and thank you Jeanine and Ellen for guiding us through another amazing Chat, this hub, this island of practice in this sea of confusion that surrounds us. May we fulfill what we came to fulfill, for the Messenger needs us.
Carol_Society:  With much gratitude to everyone… “Here your greater gifts will emerge, and your life will be an inspiration and a great service to others, according to your original design and intent. This fulfills the need of the soul, which is your deepest and most profound need… Satisfy this and you will have a satisfaction and a sense of permanence that nothing in the world can destroy. And you will be a light unto the world. And your service to the world will be profound and in many cases inexplicable.” Deepening Your Spiritual Practice. May your light continue to grow strong until we gather again. Nasi Novare Coram.
Ilhun_Korea:  Thank you All. Nasi Novare Coram.
Cole_Boulder:  Thank you Marshall…and thank you to the Society and you all. Nasi Novare Coram
Kristina_Boulder:  Thank you All, NNC
MaryL_CO:  @Serena, that is funny, Tai Chi can look like waving hands. My first Tai Chi instructor refuse to teach any martial arts until we have practiced for at least 3 years…he did not want to waste his time if we are not serious students.
Shawn_Moose Jaw:  @Patricia,so much work below the soil and now the flowers are budding and bursting….thank you so much for your efforts! Reed, your honest sharing of experience with practice is inspiring….thank you. Marshall…what can be said? the deepest bow of gratitude, the higher up on the mountain I go, the deeper my gratefulness is such – and the clearer my recognition of you authenticity becomes.
MVS Society:  If you are too busy or tired, use your longer practice periods in stillness for rest and recovery. The mind and body both need recovery to function effectively. People load way too much stress and experience upon their minds which deadens the mind and makes real discernment very difficult to achieve. Obstacles in practice is often the result of this overload of experience in the mind. Before you can enter deeper states, your mind has to settle down. In practice, it can take an hour or more just to settle down. The pre-practice that Reed spoke of is also very important in allowing the mind to slow down and to establish a clear intention. The less your mind is burdened by overload, the faster you will be able to settle down.
Tyyne_Society:  Thank you everyone for your continued practice and work in making a way and place for Knowledge in your lives. Your individual work is essential in bringing the greater coordination to life in this world – in anchoring it here and making the advancement of humanity possible – your own advancement supports the advancement of others. Blessings and love to each of you.
Mike_LF_CAL:  @Mathieu_France (9:08) ““Your part is very small and Our part is very great….” Thanks for that reminder brother!
Val_Westport:  Carol, thanks to you, to the Society, to Marshall, Patricia and Reed; we see your lights.
Kelvin_Boulder:  Thank you Marshall.
Jorge_Spain:  Thank you @Marshall
LaRaeUK:  Thank you Marshall.
Josef Austria:  Thank you Marshall!
Ilhun_Korea:  @MVS Thank you.
mellany UK:  Thank you, Marshall.
nenette_istanbul:  Thank you @MVS, Patricia, Reed The Society, and ALL fellow Students of Knowledge. Nasi Novare Coram
Kristina_Boulder:  Thank you MVS, it reminds me of the time in the past when it took me 30 min to calm down my mind and exactly in 30min I could feel my mind quieting down and me shifting to a place of stillness. I need to do this again, give myself more time to prepare for stillness.
Samantha_South Africa:  Thank you all for making this campfire chat such a moving experience, I truly appreciate it.
Tyyne_Society:  Thank you, Marshall – rest and recovery for overworked minds and bodies – so needed, so essential.
MVS Society:  Spiritual practice in the end is about re-establishing relationship—relationship with your deeper nature, with those who sent you here and with the Great Coordination of which you are naturally a part and destined to engage with. It is the return to shared identity and true inclusion in life. It is the step by step journey out of Separation.
mellany UK:  I’ve found that listening to The Voice Of Revelation, even for a few minutes before my stillness practice, really helps me to ‘quieten down’.
Patricia_Society:  @all Compensation and delusion – the New Message, the Messenger and the Society must be careful not to support or help create environments (with a person or people) that support this kind of tendency…Thank you all for taking on the call for real development and application in life of the mandates laid out by this New Message Revelation. It does provide and point us toward a new way forward..The question for all of us is, will we do what we must really do-the mundane and the exceptional, to go up that road?….Thank you all again. Be well…stay real, and may we all keep constructively taking on what is in front of us in life….
Ayesha_Society:  @MVS, thank you for speaking to this overload of stress experience, that so many people can relate to. That indeed is one of the challenges and obstacles in practice of being too overloaded, which can prevent penetration and real depth in practice. Taking care of the mind/body here is so important with the pre-practice and settling down in recovery. Thank you all for sharing today.
Reed_Society:  @Patricia yes so true, the simple power of real movement is contrasted by the risk of delusion and compensation, which build when we are unable to take our next step in life. The weight of this knowing unrealized in movement becomes a gravitational force, a bulge in our experience and as we try to “go on, be okay, and be well” with this object in our space, it naturally has a distorting affect. This becomes so apparent when you finally make a needed change that has been waiting for some time, finally get beyond reluctance and ambivalence to take a real action, and your whole experience of life changes, a great burden is lifted, you can see clear and straight again, as if you had been coping with hurricane winds and now all is at ease again
MaryL_CO:  @MVS and Reed: thank you for addressing the pre-conditions before practicing. Sometimes it is my body and not just the mind that needs to be tended to instead of being forced to comply to a convenient schedule.
Insuk_Korea:  Thank you Marshall “practice periods in stillness for rest and recovery~”
Serena M_NM:  Thank you Marshall. That might explain part of why I often have difficulty in my stillness practices, and maybe why I feel I can do a bit better when I do it first thing in the morning–not much has happened yet to overload my mind.
Kristina_Boulder:  @Reed, I can relate to that. Thank you for sharing.
Joyanne_Canada:  Thank you Reed, I too can relate to that
MaryS_Boulder:  Patricia, that thing about this environment being a magnet that repels ambivalence, that is one thing that people are very surprised by and often not prepared for the disappointment that the NM is not here to tell them how great they are.
Tonia_Denmark:  Thank you, Marshall. Thank you for clearing it out. I must say, that due to being used to carrying a lot of bad conscience and I’m sorry’s for years and years. I begin to like what Patricia mentioned once (I think it was her words): “Travel light” – I mean, in how many areas can you not use that.
Josef Austria:  Thank you Reed!
Ilhun_Korea:  @MVS: Thank you so much for clarification. “Spiritual practice in the end is about re-establishing relationship…”
Jorge_Spain:  Thank you @Patricia & @Reed
MarkBerger:  I can confirm and testify to this experience, Reed: “to take a real action, and your whole experience of life changes, a great burden is lifted, you can see clear and straight again, as if you had been coping with hurricane winds and now all is at ease again.”
Insuk_Korea:  Thank you Marshall, Patricia, Reed and All. NNC
Joe_UK:  In gratitude to be with you. Love to you All. Nasi Novare Coram
Joyanne_Canada:  @Mary S; I like your quote, this environment is one that repels ambivalence.
MaryL_CO:  Thank you all NNC
Tonia_Denmark:  Thank you all. How marvellous it is to be here once again. A true uplift of the day. NNC
Mike_LF_CAL:  I missed the last chat, I was clearing out some material possessions, lightening my load, It is good to be back…even after just a week I felt a void.
Joyanne_Canada:  Thank you everyone, for being here and engaged today and sharing such elevating insights and wisdom’s. It most surely is manna from heaven to be able to participate and grow with you all. Feeling Blessed. Nasi Novare Coram
MaryS_Boulder:  Well, Joyanne, I appreciate your invitation to show you where it came from. I gnawed this off a mere bone of a phrase from a Vigil night. http://life-meaning.or…oose/
Mike_LF_CAL:  @Marshall words cannot express the gratitude,Mavran Mavran Conay Mavran. Nasi Novare Coram.
Shawn_Moose Jaw:  Nasi Novare Coram
Mike_LF_CAL:  @Marshall words cannot express the gratitude,Mavran Mavran Conay Mavran. Nasi Novare Coram.
Shawn_Moose Jaw:  Nasi Novare Coram
MaryS_Boulder:  Tip of the hat to Haandle for finding this, http://www.themorallib…pose/
Val_Westport:  I find it so useful to peruse these Chats. So much to consider, such an education in studenthood and the expressions of wisdom contained here, trail-food for the road ahead.
Serena M_NM:  Thank you everyone! Nasi Novare Coram
Inhee_Korea:  Thank you MaryS
Lucille in Maine,US:  quick link to this school session’s core Revelation for study: http://www.newmessage….ctice
Tyyne_Society:  And thank you for your ongoing support for this mission. If you feel moved to donate to support this chat, the Free School and other important endeavors, please go to http://www.newmessage….ssage
MVS Society:  Maria, forgiveness is complete when you have fully gained the wisdom from a past painful event, when real gratitude and learning can finally replace anger, anguish and remorse.
David V Fr:  Yes this is a lot, regarding movement I would love so much being able to move but it’s not really happening yet… which make me sad at times. Anyway, this was a great opportunity to receive from everyone, very rich chat
Jim B. Upstate NY:  Thank you so much to everyone!!! This chat has helped us all I feel tremendously!!! Nasi Novare Coram
Val_Westport:  David, the true movement begins on the inside; you can get that going at any time. Blessings
Josef Austria:  Thank you all for your sharing! Nasi Novare Coram!

Josef Austria:  Thank you Mark!
MVS Society:  Yes Ayesha, I also practice mental decompression using the hourly practice and moments of inner listening throughout the day
MVS Society:  At certain important junctures in your life where real outer change is needed, if you do not respond and take action, Knowledge has to wait. This holds everything up. The movement of your life is held back and Knowledge becomes silent waiting for you. You become stalled on the side of the mountain wondering why you cannot seem to make progress. If you find yourself in this situation, ask yourself and ask Knowledge “is there something I must do in my life now?” Ask this with the courage and intention to take action.
Selma London:  Thank you Marshall. NNC
Jorge_Spain:  Thanks Marshall for adding this.

  1. MaryS_Boulder Posted on May 7, 2017 at 2:28 pm

Arthur heard the correct message in my shout out to his name (“I want to talk to you, Arthur!”)–he pm’d me and we talked at some length, sincerely. I was off-base in my hunch that confused him with another.

  2. MaryS_Boulder Posted on May 7, 2017 at 8:03 pm

I come back to check a question, could that have been (that I called to Arthur on) high irony, meant to mirror to us what we ourselves sound like? (oh, giving yourself a high middle name, too much).

No, but it helps in the mental environment, listening within, to feel what it sounds like.

I also had to see again, what was “wonderful” about it?

Oh, it is poetry: condensed little pre-written expressions of what this person’s vision of Christ would have us know. I could never fault a person who is working a direct line to the mind and voice of Christ. It will only work with people who hear it the same. This is not bad, only lame.

I can give one example where I do credit a writer with actually channeling the voice of Christ.

I believe you also can discern when you consider Marshall’s words. When you hear two characteristics at a level not seen elsewhere on Earth, the general effect is to really cherish those words: 1) such gentle kindness and 2) urgency. See if you can notice that combination in this writing here below that claims to be channeled from Christ. See the fierce razor’s edge, the two-edged sword wielded by compassion.

Notice that you have to filter out the author’s own contribution (or don’t, he speaks as one with Christ).

2:2. I know thy works and thy labour and thy patience and how thou canst not bear them that are evil. And thou hast tried them who say they are apostles and are not: and hast found them liars:

2:3. And thou hast patience and hast endured for my name and hast not fainted.

2:4. But I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first charity.

2:5. Be mindful therefore from whence thou art fallen: and do penance and do the first works. Or else I come to thee and will move thy candlestick out of its place, except thou do penance.

2:6. But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaites, which I also hate.

2:7. He that hath an ear let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches: To him that overcometh I will give to eat of the tree of life which is in the paradise of my God.

2:8. And to the angel of the church of Smyrna write: These things saith the First and the Last, who was dead and is alive:

2:9. I know thy tribulation and thy poverty: but thou art rich. And thou art blasphemed by them that say they are Jews and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.

2:10. Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer. Behold, the devil will cast some of you into prison, that you may be tried: and you shall have tribulation ten days. Be thou faithful unto death: and I will give thee the crown of life.

2:11. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches: He that shall overcome shall not be hurt by the second death.

2:12. And to the angel of the church of Pergamus write: These things saith he that hath the sharp two-edged sword:

Marshall has often quoted a sage from India, Sri Nisargadatta, as saying, “The root of all evil is the pursuit of happiness.”
