Levy_Brazil: Hello(1:35PM)
Darlene_Society: Hello to everyone here early with us today! We will begin on the hour with a welcome, followed by our questions for discussion today. The questions we would like you to consider in preparation for our chat are:
In Month One you were asked to choose a daily practice – a statement, directive or practice from the Core Revelation that you felt inspired to engage with or adopt as part of your overall studenthood during this session. In Month Two you were asked to continue this practice.
What guidelines given in this Teaching spoke to you most powerfully?
The Revelation Building the Bridge to a New Life, states:
“Knowledge will seem latent within you, but really it is still trying to keep you out of trouble and [trying] to prevent you from giving your life away to another or to situations or to places, to people—to keep your life open.”
What does this passage on Knowledge mean for you?(1:40PM)
Robert_Society: From last week’s chat, quotes from the Messenger:
“ I often talk to people about freedom. Freedom for and/or freedom from—most people see the need for freedom for themselves at some level. It is a common need and desire. People may want improvements but many are ambivalent about seeking a new life. Yet most people want greater freedom, and real freedom will take them to a new life.”
“I also speak to people about the reality of Knowledge, the mind beneath the mind we think with and what it can do for them. The NMG offers so many clear message points on this that can be expressed simply and effectively.”
“Regarding freedom, helping or encouraging people to change their situation is rarely the first step. Bringing them to the reality of Knowledge is the first step, for without Knowledge, people will not have the will or the strength to meaningfully change their life, circumstances and direction.”
“There is situational depression and the only recourse is to change or get out of that…(1:45PM)
Robert_Society: … situation.”
“Cast a wide net. Those who are ready will respond. Within all others, you plant a seed.”
“I ask you to be who you really are, nothing more, nothing less.”
“Knowledge within you influencing Knowledge in another usually requires an ongoing engagement and even that sometimes fails dramatically. Marriage for example.”
“I have a lot to accomplish and not a lot of time to accomplish it. Therefore, I offer wisdom, correction, clarification and direction wherever I can, but I do not wait for anyone. Some will respond. Many will not respond. I pray that someday each you will have this much purpose moving your life.”
“Walk with me and your new life will become real.”
“Stumbling is okay as long as you pull yourself up and keep going. We have left the pavement behind and are now walking the rocky winding path less traveled.”
“We gain strength from all who practice with us.”(1:45PM)
39461: Hello all! Nasi Novare Coram!(1:49PM) Robert_Society: A reminder if you’re able to change your number to your name_location, it would be wonderful for all of us to see who you are. Thanks.(1:51PM) 76231: Hello every one Les From Canada(1:54PM) LaRaeUk: Greetings dear Frederick and all. So grateful to be here.(1:54PM) 39461: I found a book “The Consciousness Revolution: A Transatlantic Dialogue : Two Days With Stanislav Grof, Ervin Laszlo, and Peter Russell…and I want to ask if anyone of you have read it … I my opinion this book states and predict The New Message from God. But they don’t know this yes(1:54PM) Kristina FL: Hi everyone. Thank you Robert, powerful quote ““Humanity will be led by those who are strong with Knowledge and by those who recognize the importance of their integrity and the value of their true relationships. Everyone who can do this is a leader”(1:54PM) Carol_Society: @Frederick: Welcome, Frederick. So pleased that you were able to join us in this very special environment today.(1:55PM) Maureen_Boulder: I think sometimes people don’t try because finding freedom (at least for me) has been and is a series of failures. Falling down and getting up again and again. Trying and failing. Trying and failing until you get it right. Skinned knees and elbows.(1:56PM) Joyanne: Good Morning/Evening everyone.(1:57PM) Ellen_Society: Hello to all who are joining us for this great gathering.(1:58PM) LaRaeUk: It is through getting back up that we learn…..I’m stuggling badly atm, but I will get up again.(1:58PM) Ann_UK: @Maureen Boulder. Resonating . Been travelling that road for a long time but getting slightly easier.(1:58PM) Joyanne: Hello Les from Canada, wonderful to see new Students here. Welcome to the Campfire Chat(1:58PM) Kari_H_Finland: ““Regarding freedom, helping or encouraging people to change their situation is rarely the first step. Bringing them to the reality of Knowledge is the first step, for without Knowledge, people will not have the will or the strength to meaningfully change their life, circumstances and direction.” My experience confirms this. When I tried to to speak about the Great Waves of Change to a friend of mine, she became resistant to this message. After our discussion, she said to me: “Why did our discussion cause so bad feelings within me?”. She was confused because usually we share our viewpoints in good understanding.(1:58PM) LaRaeUk: Your life and story is a great example to us all Maureen.(1:59PM) Darlene_Society: The hour has arrived…From wherever we are around our world, before we begin this blessed time together, let us pause in stillness together for our hourly. Let us remember the Messenger and give him strength and courage as we serve alongside of him in this great mission of the New Message from God.(2:00PM) Robert_Society: Welcome everyone to month 2, week 3 of our current Free School session – The Journey to a New Life. Welcome to all new students who may be joining us for the first time. We gather once again from all over the world to be with each other, and the Messenger… what a true gift this is…to live at the time of Revelation and know the Messenger while he is in the world.(2:01PM) Mike_LF_CAL: @VERY interesting response from your friend Kari!(2:03PM) Russell_Sask: Egads not even two minutes of Silent thoughts. Good Luck. Maybe next week we can focus. Until then, then.(2:03PM) 53247: Greetings all. Glad to finally be back with the chat.(2:03PM) Raoul_Australia: It will never stop amazing me that we are living at the time of Revelation and we know the Messenger while he is in the world.(2:04PM) Serena M: Hello everyone! It’s been a long time since I could join the chats again. Glad to finally be able be here!(2:04PM) LaRaeUk: I resonate with that @Raoul. How blessed we are to learn of Him and this great Message in our lifetimes. So humbling.(2:05PM) Douglas_St.Paul: Marshall spoke last week of speaking to people about freedom and Knowledge. Does he get out among people who consider him a generic person?(2:05PM) Joyanne: Hello Michael and Christine
Welcome(2:05PM) Robert_Society: Our study questions for today that we’d like to discuss relate to movement in our lives toward a New Life increasingly guided by Knowledge. With this in mind –
In Month One you were asked to choose a daily practice – a statement, directive or practice from the Core Revelation that you felt inspired to engage with or adopt as part of your overall studenthood during this session. In Month Two you were asked to continue this practice.
What guidelines given in this Teaching spoke to you most powerfully?(2:06PM)
halfbanana: Hello, everyone! This is Virgie in Washington state. Sorry I guess my name is showing up as the anonymous user name I created for the forum.(2:07PM) LaRaeUk: Glad to see you Brian and Serena.(2:07PM) Maria_Boulder: @39461- who are you? I did Stanislof Grof’s work for many years…(2:07PM) Mike_LF_CAL: Kari, I also had an encounter sharing TNM with someone this week, but no lights went on in that person and I could sense total rejection… I just get back up and try again.(2:07PM) Maureen_Boulder: @ Mike and Kari – If this is the first time people hear about the great waves, it is scary. It still scares me and I’ve known about it for a long time. They may need to tiptoe into these scary waters to find Knowledge. If you see this coming and don’t know about Knowledge and the spiritual side of things, despair could happen.(2:10PM) LaRaeUk: It’s always sad when we can’t reach them Mike, but oh such joy when we can. I’ve had 3 people who have resonated this week. So grateful their hearts could sense the truth in it.(2:10PM) Jim B. Upstate NY: Two steps come to mind for me for they have stayed with me since I encountered them. Step 55 “I will accept the world as it is.” and Step 82 ” I will not judge another today. these 2 steps have allowed me to look, see and hear the world from a greater perspective. For now I can be in the world without judging it the best I can. This gives me so much freedom. And fills my heart. I am able when I practice this in my daily affairs to have compassion and tolerance for other and the world. I can honor the world, others and myself for we are all connected and wired in to the Great Coordination and to Knowledge itself. This is a great blessing for us all.(2:10PM) MaryL_SF: Hello everyone. It’s great to be here via this chat environment, What a gift to us.(2:10PM) Joyanne: @Robert, one guideline that struck me and that I keep in mind is this ” The first requirement is to accept the great change that is happening and to leave the explanation open. You will not be able to understand it.”, it helps me to just stay in an observant, aware mode, and to let the journey, each day unfold. Leave the explanation open, greater understandings take time and come in increments I find.(2:10PM) MerrieB.akaMaryS_Boulder: ” plug up all the holes where your ship is leaking, where you are losing ground to others or to situations—through habit or through the designs of others.” The practices this session, one month to list everything and then to take an organized approach, rather than the old “start anywhere, dear, anywhere would be an improvement…”(2:11PM) Raoul_Australia: @Robert, the directives that emerged for me were Time alone and no need to explain to others.
“Tell them that you need time alone, time of quiet, time of retreat, time of re-evaluation. And do not feel you must respond to their persistent questions. You do not have to give them answers. Spare yourself the agony of trying to do this.” So I took a lot of time alone by not joining my wife for a long trip out of state to visit family, so I could be alone and avoid discussing my life with our relatives. It was a good time of retreat.(2:11PM) Alison_Boulder: @Robert, a statement I have stayed with from Building a Bridge is “You must gather you resources and conserve energy.” I didn’t realize how much this School session affected me– it is like with the Steps, their mysterious means work through me even if I judge myself to not be going deep enough. Finding ways to “plug up the holes’ with actions around money, time, health, work, etc has been an amazing process these two months.(2:12PM) Kari_H_Finland: Yes Joyanne, so important to remember. My mind is all the time looking for understanding which it cannot get. This teaching is such a relief.(2:12PM) nenette_istanbul: I had an experience too of sharıng the NM God has Spoken Again ”book” ı had no idea if he had read it or not ..but this is the response I recieved, ”please stop reading those and it will just mislead you, etc” this kind of respond make and help me to be strong enough and pursue all my strength and know that stand to The Messenger is a must and I must.(2:13PM) Ramona_Romania: 39461 was Ramona from Romania. My appologise , I forgot to set my name. Sorry again!(2:13PM) rayhobbs_Colorado: @Robert_Society “What guidelines given in this Teaching spoke to you most powerfully?” ….. you must gather your resources and conserve your energy so that you have time to be alone, to learn to be still and to listen. You will seek quiet now more than stimulation. You will find that the social activities around you will be aggravating and irritating to you, for you need something else now. You need to listen. You need to be quiet. You need to gain a greater connection to this emerging power within yourself. This will change your priorities. (Building the Bridge to a New Life)(2:13PM) Raoul_Australia: I think that my next focus should also be “plug up all the holes where your ship is leaking”…(2:14PM) Kristina_Boulder: “So you have to really look at your life. What is available to you? What limits you, on the outside? And then, even more importantly, what limits you on the inside? Which is nothing more than your beliefs, assumptions, desires and fears—all those things that are vaporous and have little substance in reality.
The preparation then becomes the proving ground. It does not matter if you have a great destiny to do something very significant in the world if you cannot prepare for that. And the preparation requires more unlearning than learning—breaking free, going through periods of profound confusion and uncertainty as you release your old ideas and approach a greater understanding.” from Courage and the Will to Prepare.(2:14PM)
Paul_MA: Very much resonating: Plug the holes where your ship is leaking. YOu must gather your resources & conserve your energy.(2:15PM) nenette_istanbul: I know I have a freedom to talk what ever I want as long as it comes from KNOWLEDGE, and I pray Knowledge Blessed me …(2:16PM) Douglas_St.Paul: The world seems to need to see the man or woman of Knowledge “taking care of business,” plugging up the leaks, cheerfully and effectively, even enthusiastically (Step 267, “There is a simple solution to all problems facing me today.”)(2:16PM) mellany UK: Resonating, Jim B. Really beginning to feel the reality of those Steps…it’s very liberating. Judgement, fear, frustration; potent blocks to the flow of compassion and real love.(2:16PM) LaRaeUk: It is amazing how much a negative mental environment can drain our spiritual batteries.(2:17PM) Selma London: Being attentive & alert has lead to being more myself, and gradually finding ways to practice what I do in meditation whilst active.(2:17PM) Paul_MA: Kristina of Boulder—spot on….Not only what limits you on the inside….But why are you not taking action, what is it about you that is holding you back…what is causing the inaction,,, you know what to do, you have Knowledge, why are you not taking action? what is the bottleneck, obstacle….fear? complacency, ambivalence…NNC(2:18PM) Frederick_UK: Hello Mellany, Rich, Brian and Serena, Greg, Ann, Jeffrey, Joyanne, LaRae, Selma, Betty, Dominic, Don. It is so good to be back with all the students.(2:18PM) Anna_Boulder: “Plug up all the holes where your ship is leaking” — I second that, Raoul.(2:18PM) Joyanne: Wonderful to see you here Frederick,
(2:18PM) rayhobbs_Colorado: @Kristina_Boulder: Let us talk a little bit about some specific events in the world. First, the great powers of the world will become far more like each other out of necessity. Their opposition to one another will become increasingly theoretical and less meaningful in reality, and they will find that they need each other a great deal. They are like a husband and wife who cannot leave each other and must learn to get along because they love each other. Russians love you; you love Russians. But when you love someone and you do not communicate, you harbor hard feelings and you become estranged. Along with this, the developing nations in your world will have increasingly power in the years to come, and this will complete the requirement for a global community. (WGC1.14 World Evolution p.173)(2:19PM) LaRaeUk: Wonderful to see you as always Frederick.(2:19PM) Kristina FL: Mke and Kari… My dad is in town and we have many deep conversation about the NM, specially about the GWC. He said; i can clearly see that humanity cannot get away from the consequences of destroying nature even if we start doing the right thing today. The icecaps are melting, crops are failing, the water and air is being poisoned. We must do what we can on the individual level and our demonstration will influence others to follow.- this is a small success for me to hear and to know.(2:19PM) Betty_UK: Hello Fred, glad to have you here with us(2:20PM) Joyanne: That”s wonderful Kristina(2:21PM) Robert_Society: Within the NM and its Teachings is the pathway. Our preparation is to learn to follow that pathway. “Building the Bridge to a New Life” is one such Teaching. What guidelines within it struck you as necessary for you to follow and incorporate into your daily practice?(2:21PM) Jim B. Upstate NY: “Idealism justifies condemnation. Recognize this great truth and you will begin to have a more immediate and profound experience of life and of that which is genuine and not based on upon hope or expectation but upon true engagement.” When I am aware of this and apply it to my life…many holes are filled.(2:21PM) LaRaeUk: Oh you are fortunate it resonates with your father Kristina.(2:21PM) Paul_MA: RObert- Life will fail you, Or You MUST fail it.(2:21PM) Kristina_Boulder: I agree, plugging the holes is major one. I’m using analogy with digestion. If you would eat all these amazing organic food, you spend money to buy it, energy and time to cook it, but when you eat it nothing gets absorbed and your body is still weak and malnourished.(2:22PM) Lucille_Maine: I’m finding comfort in focusing on building my foundation , e.i. my Four Pillars. This keeps me from worrying about whether I will ever be strong enough, good enough, to meet the demands of a greater contribution to life in my remaining time here. I can leave the answer to that question to Knowledge and just build a stronger relationship with that inner God connection in time.
(2:22PM) MerrieB.akaMaryS_Boulder: An image from last month now flips on this plugging of the holes. It was like a dream-like view of self at the bottom of the ocean, touching down as if to check: there, solid gold plugging up a human-sized hole in the ocean bed. In real life, it works out to taking a sweep of the environment on regular basis, like hourlies, like weekly review(2:22PM) Sang_Ca_Korea: “Now you must become watchful, discerning, patient, careful. In doing this, you will see how you have been wasting your life, your time, your energy, over meaningless pursuits and over thinking that would never lead to resolution; and self-doubt, self-recrimination, judgment of others and the immensely superficial conversation that most people continue to maintain around you.”(2:23PM) Shawn_Moose Jaw: The first thing that made an impression on me when experiencing this revelation was the transitioning from outward seeking to inward awareness. Like carrying an egg on a spoon over rough terrain, keeping my attention on how I was experiencing life moment to moment. “Incremental disengagement” was another phrase that jumped out with regards to letting go of things that were “sticky ” in my life and making the slow constant turn of my “oil tanker” in life.(2:23PM) Serena M: Good analogy Kristina. I’ve had digestive problems before, so I understand it well.(2:23PM) rayhobbs_Colorado: @Robert You must learn about the mental environment. You must learn about relationships and higher purpose. This is all awaiting you. But first you must build the foundation, for without this foundation, you will not be able to penetrate the greater meaning, importance and application of these revelations that are contained within the New Message from God.
The foundation is so very important and requires great patience and forbearance. It is this patience and forbearance that will shift your allegiance away from your intellect and the admonitions of others to a greater power within you—the power of Knowledge, the power of God.(2:23PM) Ken_Oklahoma: “Affirm you desire for Knowledge by remembering upon the hour to stop for a moment, to be with your environment and be with yourself”. (from CT STK 18) Every hourly is a crucial affirmation of my desire for Knowledge.(2:24PM) Maria_Boulder: Robert what I have tried to go more deeply with from this revelation (Building the Bridge to a New Life), although it has been a directive I have been grappling with for longer than this session, is:”Do not try to take care of other people beyond your children or an elderly parent here, for you are gaining strength within yourself. You are learning to conserve your energy. You are fasting now, holding yourself back from giving yourself away everywhere, holding yourself in reserve.” As I have worked in a caring field all my life, attending to birthing women, babies, the elderly, the bedside of those dying, teaching children…and been exposed to much third world suffering, including First world suffering (!)…and now a service based community…its a great big challenge for me to decipher the accurate response in each situation…being with it, and listening in each instance…but my ability to say no(this is not mine..or I have done enough, etc) is growing!!!(2:24PM) LaRaeUk: You’re already strong enough and good enough Lucille.(2:24PM) Kelvin_Boulder: “Many people want to govern their outer lives more effectively, but their inner lives are chaotic. That is like saying, “We’ll leave the government alone, but we will make the city look more beautiful. We’ll plant trees.” People try to make their outer life look more benign or more pleasurable or more harmonious, but unless they regovern themselves and assume responsibility for the government of their minds, nothing will change. They will have nicer scenery perhaps, but the real state of things will be the same.” Working with the mind(2:24PM) Selma London: The NMG is a new description of reality, where Knowledge cannot just be ‘consulted’ every now and then, but requires A True Performance.(2:24PM) Sang_Ca_Korea: Reading the Revelation made me realize how reckless I was in the past. Not careful in making decision, not cautious, nor discerning. I realized I wasted my life because of the lack of what the Revelation pointed out.(2:24PM) Ann_UK: Sang Co Korea Hearing you. One of my biggest realisations was the amount of the superficial conversations in the world.(2:24PM) Cameron: @ Rayhobbs – I was recently given a beautiful framed copy of the “Declaration of Human Sovereignty” How does this document get delivered and to whom? (obviously is is not only for human understanding)(2:25PM) Alison_Boulder: @Robert – “…is the beginning of a greater promise for you. Do not resist it.”– though broad, it works as a guidelines for me. By resisting my greater life I would just be cheating myself. There is so much to resist- the intervention, my own mind, and everything that competes with Knowledge, but I must not resist the great promise of my life. I will not resist the necessary restraint.(2:25PM) Selma London: We cannot unite as a population until we as individuals start to unite within ourselves – otherwise it’s just a false imprisonment.(2:25PM) MerrieB.akaMaryS_Boulder: @Ken_OK, it boils down to choosing Knowledge or not in every moment. Step 290 calls it the power of decision, what I have been calling the power of the individual.(2:25PM) Selma London: Freedom: “Use conflict to develop discernment. Discernment is an exercise in power and self-determination. It is an exercise in freedom, essential freedom..” CT Step 81 I WILL NOT BE AFRAID OF CONFLICT TODAY.(2:25PM) Mike_LF_CAL: @Kristina_FL, it is a great blessing for you that your father is open and willing to hear about TNM & GWoC. Only my brother in my whole family has listened to the NM, all others have rejected it out of hand. But this reaction does not curtail my Knowledge of the truth in any way, it make me sad for them. I just keep practicing and trying to live by the example of TNM.(2:26PM) Tamara: I marvel at the unfolding of the emergence of living a New Life within my own life. The directive that stands out most for me now is….”Leave your future open. Set aside plans beyond what you must do to simply maintain yourself in the world.” Life blessed me with a possible change in my work life recently. By the standards of society I ought to have accepted the job offer (lead teaching within a school where I stated I am not willing at this time to pursue a $10,000 plus certification). It has been some time since life has presented me with a possibly for change. Slowly I have been building a foundation to know what it is to trust Knowledge, to know how it shows up in my experience. Without opportunities for big change this process of trust has been revealed in small things. I am grateful for this most recent experience….to know how to live in the mystery, to know when to act with Knowledge, to know the difference between the desires of a personality condition/social standard verses…(2:26PM) Tamara: … desire arising from Creation itself…expressing movement through me.(2:26PM) Selma London: Giving is not when everybody says thanks you for what you said, it’s when what is said gets used!(2:26PM) David V Fr: Hello, there is something that has helped during the session that I want to really practice, I quote : ” do not feel you must respond to their persistent questions. You do not have to give them answers. Spare yourself the agony of trying to do this.” You can loose so much energy trying to justify or explain yourself but the result would be the same anyway…(2:26PM) LaRaeUk: I get that AnnUk. Currently drowning in shallowness.(2:26PM) Kristina_Boulder: @Kelvin, it’s true, but sometime some people need to “relocate” to a different “city” to even begin working on some inner things.(2:27PM) Carolyn_CT: That is where I am now: building my foundation.(2:27PM) Richmond_UK: @Mike_LF_Cal resonating with that, similar situation with all my family members.(2:27PM) Reed_Society: @Lucille, thank you, that is the approach – to stay focused, on preparation: pillar work, addressing obstacles, engaging with Knowledge, and not letting the fear of “can I do this” “what if I….” start to take over, which it can. From Wis1 Escaping Fear: “the emphasis here is on keeping your eye on Knowledge, not on the obstacles to Knowledge.”(2:28PM) Lynn, Boulder: “Compromise would permeate everything—your beliefs, your attitudes, your aspirations, your activities, your plans, your goals.” I used to call this the game of life and seeing it as a game allowed me to feel some what separated and a little more spiritually pure. However, over the years playing the game started dowsing my inner flame. Now I can feel the heavy over coat while I stand on the bridge.(2:28PM) Ann_UK: LaRaeUk sometimes it makes me feel very alone for a while, but just for a short while.(2:28PM) Betty_UK: @Robet, the Steps practice are a daily practice in my day to day life, everything else seems to move with it.(2:29PM) Maureen_Boulder: My focus for these past two months has been on “accepting that great change is happening and to leaving the explanation open” The whole US political scene is troubling to say to the least. I’ve been trying to get to a place of observation, setting aside my fear and emotions. Reading What is the World in GCS with that in mind is shifting my perception, my perspective. I’ve also been working on consistency and deepening my focus in my Steps practice. Using the Guidelines for Students of Knowledge.(2:29PM) Mike_LF_CAL: @Richmond_UK< are your family members part of a religious tradition and strongly so?(2:29PM) Rudy_Boulder: Robert, I need to incorporate patience and forbearance. I want my foundation to be build around the foundation of the New Message, for the New Message provides most of the things needed in life to build a strong foundation, a foundation that is based on the power of Knowledge and meaningful relationships….. “The foundation is so very important and requires great patience and forbearance. It is this patience and forbearance that will shift your allegiance away from your intellect and the admonitions of others to a greater power within you—the power of Knowledge, the power of God. You will never comprehend this power fully. You can never claim it for yourself. You will never be a master of it. You can never use it to try to be better than others. You cannot use it to get what you want. You cannot use it to gain wealth and power and pleasure. You can only learn to follow it and learn of the great journey up the mountain that was always prepared for you.”(2:29PM) Paul_MA: These sessions move very rapidly, so it is good to focus.(2:29PM) Alio_Texas: Ann UK: Alone but not lonely. We’re so used to be surrounded by crowds and noise.(2:30PM) Cameron: @Rayhobbs – yes I get that but I was wondering how it is shared with the greater community. Perhaps somewhat off topic.(2:30PM) Mike_LF_CAL: @Maureen, I’m sitting along side you in the same boat.(2:31PM) Lin_Boulder: “to leave the explanation open” is a ongoing learning for me. ongoing practice of asking for “Yes” or “No”, instead of asking for “Why”.(2:31PM) Shrimayi Netherlands: @ Robert society You will seek quiet more than stimulation. This felt very natural to me these times.(2:31PM) MVS Society: When I see a person acting foolishly or in a negative way, I ask myself “is this person really known by anyone? Is this person truly loved and appreciated?” This is a practice of mine.(2:32PM) Ann_UK: Alio Texas. So true. Stillness is a great blessing.(2:32PM) Frederick_UK: @ Robert /Society The practice I have adopted is the Prayer that Marshall gave to us all ( LET ME BE OF SERVICE, SO THAT I MAY GIVE, FOR IN THE END, IT IS ALL ABOUT SIMPLE SERVICE) Along with this is a very special chapter in the Revelations Relationships and Higher Purposes. Here, all the chapters are special but I chose chapter two YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR SELF. All I can say is, the impact has been PROFOUND.(2:32PM) Raoul_Australia: regarding Knowledge working beneath, I had a thought about this passage: “Knowledge will seem latent within you, but really it is still trying to keep you out of trouble…” and it explains why I have ‘stopped just in time’, many times in my life and even recently.(2:32PM) rayhobbs_Colorado: @Cameron: He who says does not know, … and he knows does not say ….(2:33PM) Lucille_Maine: @Reed: Thank you for your comment. It is about some kind of fear, isn’t it: From Wis1 Escaping Fear: “the emphasis here is on keeping your eye on Knowledge, not on the obstacles to Knowledge.” Thank you.(2:33PM) Robert_Society: I have recently revisited the Revelation “Listening for Knowledge” as part of this session, part of “building the bridge”. It is a powerful teacher regarding following Knowledge and what we, as beginning students of The Way of Knowledge can do. A passage from it that struck me: “Receiving the power and presence of Knowledge requires a still and watchful state of mind. Through the course of your day, you have so many opportunities to practice this—time that you spend waiting for something, time that you spend when you first wake in the morning, when you can listen more deeply within yourself before you get up and become busy with the day, time spent in intervals between activities, time which is wasted by fantasy and fearful imagination, by pointless speculation and by simply allowing your mind to wander wherever it may go in its chaotic state.”(2:33PM) LaRaeUk: So wonderfully expressed @Alison(2:34PM) Kristina FL: Mike CAL…If only one person in your family listen, that is a start. Others in my family told my dad to try to talk me out of this. They are concern, (What do i get out of this). My dad said; Who am i to tell her not to follow her inner calling, this is her life.(2:34PM) Kari_H_Finland: Thank you Messenger for this sobering practice of compassion(2:34PM) Ann_UK: Thank you Marshall, I had forgotten those words from you.(2:35PM) Jim B. Upstate NY: Building our foundation takes a long time. “This is the essential activity. What will be built upon your foundation will be built by you and the Unseen Ones and your Spiritual Family who have sent you into the world.” Thanks Rudy.(2:35PM) Debbie-Mi: For me the focus has been on conserving my energy, time alone away from meaningless activities, and deepening my foundation in the NM. I have attempted to spend time studying and listening to the NM daily and it has made a huge difference.(2:35PM) Adria_Poland: Thank you, MVS, this is a constant compassion practice to adopt.(2:35PM) Mike_LF_CAL: @Kristina, yes at least there is one, not responding but at least listening. Thank you!(2:36PM) Ginny_Dallas: @ Maureen and Lin – The changes happening so quickly now and learning how to be with them, to “leave the explanation open”. Step 90 – Today I will make no assumptions – “Practice this day having an open mind that bears witness to events and that seeks to lear. Enjoy the freedom that comes without assumptions, for mystery will be a source of grace for you…”(2:36PM) Raoul_Australia: Thank you MVS, I must adopt that practice of compassion(2:37PM) Insuk_Korea: Thank you Robert for sharing that quote.(2:37PM) Kelvin_Boulder: @MVS, thank you. @Adria, I resonate deeply with this, compassion for myself and others…(2:38PM) Mike_LF_CAL: This follows Raoul’s (8:32) remark- I’ve listened to this Rev many times this month and this passage always calls to me, “Knowledge will seem latent within you…”, from the beginning this has called to me… I long to be able to recognize when Kn is communicating to me IN THE MOMENT whether it be audible, visionary or even a strong feeling or compulsion and this has yet to happen for me. Therefore, Kn must be latent in me… but for how long? It seems like its been a long time for me, since 2012, not very long compared to the Messenger but a long time for me. So it seems I still need to be kept from making mistakes? I feel that I have never been more alive and more aware of life around me, aware of each mistake I make small or large, significant or not, I have never been in such a state of awareness-for me anyway… and not o suggest that I am anything special, just that my level of self awareness has been magnified over the time I’ve been with the NM… and Kn is still latent in…(2:38PM) Mike_LF_CAL: … me. I just felt like sharing my experience.(2:38PM) Ken_Oklahoma: “To move from being an outer-directed person to being an inner-directed person is a tremendous change, and you will feel very shaky at first. You will not feel very strong. You will be very uncertain of what you are doing.” NM advocates often use images of vehicular or pedestrian bridges to symbolize the “bridge building”. What image adequately symbolize the building of an internal bridge….more strongly connecting to the deeper intelligence within and illustrate this to others?(2:38PM) Val_Westport: Take heart, Mike LF; true listening is an active response.(2:38PM) rayhobbs_Colorado: @Cameron The Wisdom of heaven determines this. You yourself cannot. Do not strive for revelation. Do not set it as part of your plans and your goals. Set out instead to become a student of Knowledge and to patiently proceed without claiming grand schemes, designs or abilities for yourself. Then you will come closer to heaven because you will come closer to what heaven has given you. The deeper your relationship with Knowledge, the deeper your relationship with the Divine. A relationship is not images and fantastic demonstrations. It is an abiding presence.
(How does revelation occur in human life? http://www.newmessage….-life)(2:38PM) Inhee_Korea: @Maureen Thank you for “accepting that great change is happening and to leaving the explanation open”(2:38PM) Jim B. Upstate NY: “Foundation building gives you a new life, but it uses everything you have built before as material for building this foundation. It makes everything useful and beneficial if it can be brought into meaningful contribution here. This is the Plan of The Creator. Nothing is destroyed.” This really hit me when I read it. It will remain with me for the rest of my life just as the NM message will.(2:39PM) Alio_Texas: Expressing the wisdoms in response to individual situations where they apply is very helpful. Being very helpful with new wisdoms develops relationship, trust with others. After trust and respect has developed, then the source is more readily appreciated. When to speak and what to speak begins to be more noticeably inspired and “given” to say.(2:39PM) MerrieB.akaMaryS_Boulder: I have seen Marshall’s way of seeing [“”is this person really known by anyone? Is this person truly loved and appreciated?”] when someone looked at another and simply saw expression of unmet need. It was Mormons who first demonstrated that way of being to me, and it was a profound demonstration. They would call the foolish or negative behavior an “asking.”(2:39PM) Patricia_Society: @ Kristina_Boulder: Thank you. Such a powerful practice is this attempt to do an accounting our limitations on some basis, ex., yearly, and to attempt to recognize what is limiting us and then to discern whether these limitations are changing, giving way or staying entrenched within us. The next question then to pose to ourselves, to Knowledge, and to our timeless learning group beyond this place might be, “What Must I do? What must I really do? (with the new freedom gained from a limitation or to contend with non-movement, stasis, constraint? ” “So you have to really look at your life. What is available to you? What limits you, on the outside? And then, even more importantly, what limits you on the inside? Which is nothing more than your beliefs, assumptions, desires and fears—all those things that are vaporous and have little substance in reality.”(2:40PM) David_kc: Thank you Jim. Hits a chord in me too(2:40PM) Raoul_Australia: @Mike LF, I totally understand what you are saying, I feel a lot like that too…the desire to feel that moment of communication, yet I do feel more aware than ever(2:40PM) Maureen_Boulder: I read something in Spiritual Retreat that rang my bell- Knowledge will guide you but it will not explain.(2:40PM) Tamara: Witnessing the natural unfolding of the directive on limiting my exposure to media over the past few years is interesting. Since mid-January I stopped watching Democracy Now and rarely went on Facebook. I did not wake up one day and say….”I am not going to follow the media for awhile.” It just stated happening. In doing this I have noticed threads in what people around me are sharing with me directly. Strangely it is often related to their dream state and/or radically different views of what is happening in the world. These experiences give me a different pulse on humanity as a whole. It is mysterious and a bit challenging to convey here what I am witnessing and what arises within me as a result.(2:41PM) Frederick_UK: @ MVS. Thank you so much for that wonderful inspiration. It is so true that the love you receive becomes the love that you give. Thank you so much Marshall.(2:41PM) Alison_Boulder: @Ken, thank you for bringing the ‘advocacy mind’ regarding this bridge. It will be a good discussion for Advocacy Gatherings. My initial thought is that the New Message speaks “beyond the intellect”, so rarely do I find literal photos of the objects as representative of the mystery, but sometimes they can be a “bridge” (!) to the mystery.(2:43PM) Betty_UK: @Patricia_Society “What must I do?” I asked myself this question less than 24 hours ago(2:43PM) LaRaeUk: That message is very relative right now. Thank you Patricia and MVS.(2:44PM) Cameron: @Ray – I have been practicing patiently and consistently. I remain open and do not try to direct my teachings. however one does consider questions that are beyond ones learning. I allow that to be true as well even when I don’t realize it in the moment. Your comment of “not saying” made the connection. Thank you for listening.(2:44PM) Selma London: “Listen to all sides. Don’t try to make everything justifiable. It is possible in certain situations that everyone can be wrong and that the answer lies somewhere else. Or it can be possible that someone simply will not give in. They will not compromise where they need to.” CT Step 81 I WILL NOT BE AFRAID OF CONFLICT TODAY. Within a duality there is a need for compromise.(2:44PM) Jim B. Upstate NY: Thank you Robert, MVS! 2 very important practices in daily life that make a big difference in my/our life and in the world.(2:45PM) Maria_Boulder: @ Patricia – I will keep reminding myself that the limitations on the inside “are vaporous and have little substance in reality.”(9:40AM)(2:46PM) Lin_Boulder: “Between life of the mind and life of the heart, there is a great gulf—a huge chasm, with no apparent bottom. The distance between the two seems insurmountable, but there is a way to bridge it. But you must build the bridge, which is the foundation. The bridge has Four Pillars” – Living the Way of Knowledge ch4 The Pillar of Health(2:46PM) MVS Society: “A sage is known except in his own town, by his own family” Eric Severeid(2:46PM) Mike_LF_CAL: @Betty,Patricia, “What must I do?”, “What must I know” I now have been praying this 2x a day now.(2:46PM) Tamara: Ken….I am seeing the image of a person with their eyes closed….a golden current of energy forming a moving circle between the heart and the gut….with a mind that has a glowing blue aura of energy radiating from their head in a funnel shape expanding to the vastness of space above. In the space above light rays beam back down to the person…emanating form points of light.
(2:47PM) Greg_UK: I must give my apologies and head off now. NNC. Thank you Marshall(2:47PM) Kristina_Boulder: @Patricia, I feel like there are stages in Knowing. 1st step is to know what you must change is your life, 2-to do it, 3- what must I do now? (meaning higher purpose). Things may not be shown to us until we complete first 2 stages.(2:47PM) Kristina FL: Thank you Marshall…. Before the NM, I seen this condition on many people, not being loved, not being recognized, and if this continues for a long time people get deformed and and act in self -destructive ways. This is sad to see. May Knowledge heal this painful condition.(2:48PM) Darlene_Society: The Revelation Building the Bridge to a New Life, states: “Knowledge will seem latent within you, but really it is still trying to keep you out of trouble and [trying] to prevent you from giving your life away to another or to situations or to places, to people—to keep your life open.” Keeping your life open until Knowledge directs you to your next step, very critical. What does this passage on Knowledge mean for you?(2:48PM) Betty_UK: @Robert_Society – times of quietude has really helped me, such an importat part of being present, developing skills unknown from ourself, taking this time to listen within and without.(2:48PM) LaRaeUk: Is it possible to bridge these chasms with family MVS? As strong as my practice is I seem to just crumble with family.(2:49PM) Reed_Society: @MVS, “is this person really known by anyone? Is this person truly loved and appreciated?” such an important way of seeing others and being in the world, and to know as well that people have been through a lot, so much is happening here in separation and people are going through that, so when I see someone who is negative, or destructive, or acting in dissonance, to remember: this person isn’t just dissonant, they have been through a lot of things in life that I’m not aware of and can’t account for. Would I be in any better shape if I had gone through that? For me, this opens up a Knowledge channel in the moment, because Knowledge would act originally in the moment, in light of all that was and all that is, which I can’t personally account for, and to resist someone because of their appearances both closes that Knowledge channel and affirms and strengthens the belief that those appearances are who they really are.(2:50PM) Sang_Ca_Korea: @Darlene, KN knows my nature, meaning, purpose and direction of my life. It is there but I cannot grasp or utilize it for my own mind’s purpose. I feel it is so great that I cannot comprehend it. I can only receive and follow its greatness. By following KN truthfully and sincerely, I will be able to protect myself from the hazards of this world and follow the path that I supposed to, which will lead me to fulfill what I am here to do in the end.(2:50PM) Kari_H_Finland: I also ask these questions “What must I do? What I need to know?” After a silence, I realize that I need to wash my dishes.(2:51PM) JeffreyAdler_ATL: Darlene, “humility, honesty, patience, perseverance, discretion, discernment” (from another Teaching) comes to mind.(2:51PM) LaRaeUk: That passage is so comforting. Knowledge has been trying to save me from myself until I had the eyes to see and the ears to hear.(2:51PM) Ellen_Society: Long before I knew anything about Knowledge, it was quietly working in my life, attempting to keep me from harm, from making big mistakes.
At last I am able to see that now, as I look back over my 80 years, but for much of my life, I was blindly oblivious and continued desperately – and recklessly – seeking the elusive Truth and the loving relationships I longed for.
In hindsight, I can see evidence of the very strong attempts at a guiding hand from beyond, even though I willfully overrode those inner promptings at certain major forks in my journey – because I so wanted certain things.
I can also see now that the things I felt severely deprived of turned out to be essential deprivations for the journey I was ultimately intended to take.
My early poor decisions were very costly, but they were also teaching me what NOT to do. I began to pay attention. Yet it wasn’t until I found the New Message 23 years ago, that a pathway to Knowledge was given to me. Then, slowly but surely,…(2:51PM)
Ellen_Society: … STEPS led me to a new life.
Now I know enough to actively seek that inner guidance, attempt to wait patiently for it, and try to be attentive to its nudges. I find this to be an ongoing challenge, yet a vital one, and a completely different approach to life. I welcome it and am so grateful to have found this path which brings both struggle – and ultimately resolution.(2:51PM)
Michael&Christine_AZ: Darlene- to me this means letting meaningless things fall away to create more space for Knowledge to fill. Challenging at times but it seems to happen automatically the less I think consciously about it.(2:51PM) rayhobbs_Colorado: The Greater Community Way of Knowledge is not something that you learn in a weekend, or a week or a month or a year ( Greater Community Spirituality, Chapter 10: How Do You Prepare? )(2:51PM) Richmond_UK: @Darlene this passage for me, means to keep myself available. So that I am free to do what is asked of me, when the need/must arises. If I have given my life away to people, places and other things, this availability is simply not there.(2:52PM) Val_Westport: Darlene, what I’ve noticed is when I don’t wait for Knowledge, I flounder about and everything is an extraordinary effort. When Knowledge’s solution arrives in my perception, suddenly there’s traction for the road ahead.(2:53PM) LaRaeUk: That is so helpful Reed thank you.(2:53PM) Betty_UK: @Mike LF – Important to ask, more important to listen within and being patient, and other question to consider, are we ready for what we must do? are we doing what we know we must do?(2:53PM) Lin_Boulder: Thank you @Reed for the way of seeing the others. Very important to learn.(2:53PM) Douglas_St.Paul: Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own town, among his relatives and in his own home.” (Mark 6:4, New International Version)(2:53PM) Debbie-Mi: Thanks Reed for sharing that perspective. it takes humility and honesty to view people that way and leads to so much more compassion.(2:53PM) Kristina_Boulder: @Reed, I witness many situations like that at my work, where people have legal problems, mental illness, substance abuse. In most cases they all had very bad childhood, abusive childhood, so no wander that they are where they are today.(2:54PM) Frederick_UK: The problem here speaks of not being open minded at the time you need to be, because you will be influenced by those you have become attached to.(2:54PM) Jim B. Upstate NY: Oh Ellen…Thank you for sharing. What a great reminder for us all!(2:54PM) Rudy_Boulder: Reed, a passage used in the New Message has always stuck with me, “Given their circumstances, you would probably to the same.” It references what you are stating in your comment. Very true and wise what you say about closing the Knowledge channel. Thank you.(2:55PM) Alison_Boulder: @Ellen thank you for speaking about feeling “severely deprived of what turned out to be essential deprivations.” At the time we feel some entity is depriving us, but it really is ourselves, being honest and following.(2:55PM) Tamara: Ken….the person is also surrounding by an earth bubble….a natural setting…trees, water, animals of flight…..(2:55PM) Mike_LF_CAL: Thanks for that biblical quote Douglas!(2:55PM) Lin_Boulder: @Kristina_Boulder, I was struck by this when I recently translated The Pillar of Health. “Do those things. Do not ask for more. For you cannot use more until you use what you have today.”(2:55PM) LaRaeUk: @Sang how do you cope in those circumstances(2:55PM) Ken_Oklahoma: “The first requirement is to accept the great change that is happening and to leave the explanation open. You will not be able to understand it.” To be open every moment and present to the mystery of Knowledge in myself and others, these are the moments….when it is happening I am part of it and usually am only able to reflect on it later, and acknowledge that something happened back there. May I be present and allow it to happen more often.(2:56PM) Carol_Society: @Cameron: “one does consider questions that are beyond ones learning.” So many NM practices include asking questions, ex. the questions Patricia just posed here today. From Steps Cont. 39: “…listen carefully for the answer. You will be tempted to answer this question yourself, but do not trust these answers. Instead, wait for something deeper to come. The answer may not come in the moment. It may come far later. But the fact that you are asking the question and listening for the answer is the important thing here.”(2:56PM) Kristina FL: Thank you Ellen for sharing and thank you for taking this mysterious journey.(2:57PM) Cameron: @Douglas – I also just looked that up. There are a few similar quotes(2:57PM) Alio_Texas: Living in both worlds, family difficulties balanced with commitments to practice has been an ongoing set of learning. Integrating is necessary there as it is necessary also with work in the world. It may always be challenging simply because we are in the world. It may always be necessary to have the influence on the world that knowledge wishes to exert. The challenges are an opportunity to learn to get still in the moment and ask what to do and say and also an opportunity to learn to not say when it’s time to keep something inside quietly, in secret to be protected and to learn the practice of nurturing what is yet immature but growing inside.(2:57PM) MVS Society: Mike LF: Knowledge is what directs you toward and keeps you engaged with the NMG. Your personal mind won’t do that for very long. It is evident that Knowledge is working on you daily. It is the invisible Light, the silent Force that moves us!(2:58PM) LaRaeUk: Good point Rudy. Must remind myself of that in those moments.(2:58PM) Hyeonam_Korea: Thank you @Ellen Society sharing your experiences and devotion to NM.(2:58PM) mellany UK: Some of the most (worldly) powerful people are the most fearful. In a ‘world without Knowledge’, confusion and fear is the relative norm for most. From this perspective…this truth…..we won’t expect too much from people…this limits disappointment and frustration…and frees us to begin to feel true compassion…which fuels the desire to serve.(2:59PM) Kristina_Boulder: @Lin, it reminds me of the one of the secrets, where it says something like: even the first step will seem like too much…(2:59PM) jeanine_Society: @Ellen_Society: Thank you for sharing that powerful reviewing of your life, the importance of Steps to Knowledge and lessons learned.(2:59PM) Patricia_Society: MVS, Reed – One of the great Seeing Practices available for us to employ is: Ask yourself in any moment or situation, “Can I See and Know this person or situation for what they are? Really…look, see, ask, “Can I See and Know this person or situation for what they are” If so, prepare yourself to see many things perhaps. Prepare your self to forgive. Prepare yourself to be disarmed. Prepare yourself to be freed. Prepare yourself to move….. “is this person really known by anyone? Is this person truly loved and appreciated?” such an important way of seeing others and being in the world, and to know as well that people have been through a lot, so much is happening here in separation and people are going through that, so when I see someone who is negative, or destructive, or acting in dissonance, to remember: this person isn’t just dissonant, they have been through a lot of things in life(2:59PM) Maria_Boulder: @ Tamara- thank you for sharing your ability to drop away from Media at this wild time( and follow this directive)- and I respect that… can’t say the same, but it has made me very aware of how it effects my nervous system, and the ever greater need for having a strong practice of stillness and inner listening. We can not call this up in a moment of need, a need to not be reactive, fearful…if we have not been practicing( there is something exactly to that effect in the teachings) sorry I am not a good quote grabber…much of the immigration news effects many members of my family…so there is a compulsion to keep abreast of developments, but perhaps there is a better way?(2:59PM) Kari_H_Finland: Knowledge is trying to keep my life open. I had read and listened this passage several times before but now it confirmed my experience of my old life. I always had a sense of providing something important to the world but my life seemed to be mediocre when compared to my education, intelligence, opportunities etc. This was a confusing contradiction for me at that time which I was not able to understand. Now I understand this better.(2:59PM) Robert_Society: The hour is upon us so quickly. Let’s pause in stillness together….(3:00PM) Jim B. Upstate NY: I have felt in my life and especially now with the NM that Knowledge often asks us to do the simple things which bring goodness to another. To look for the good in the bad AND TO BRING GOODNESS into the world. They may be simple but take much work to develop. This is just a feeling I have. Wanted to share it. MVS’s practice is a true example.(3:00PM) Sang_Ca_Korea: @LaRae, cause I am far away, I rarely see them. I don’t have specific ways, but I just keep distance with them, and work on within myself. As my inner strength builds up with my practice, when I had a chance to communicate with them, it slowly changes the balance and communication environments, contents etc. Being less affected by them.(3:00PM) Debbie-Mi: Thank you Carol for sharing about the importance of asking questions and listening carefully and patiently for the answers.(3:00PM) Ann_UK: How true Mellany UK.(3:01PM) Tyyne_Society: This particular chapter on “Love” has always struck me… especially the closing remarks from the Teachers. To me it speaks to a love that already exists and that through the work of self-knowing we can once again come into communication and relationship with what is so natural but can seem so distant. We regain the ability to be with others here through a purpose given before we came and with those who know us from beyond… We are so blessed. In real time, on the ground, working, moving forward, breaking free, coming home from the long lonely journey, we make it home to this… “We are very blessed to receive the Presence of one another, to be able to touch life with life, to be able to touch this worldly life with life beyond the world. We are nourished through this contact. We are heard and We hear you. We give thanks for this opportunity. Nasi Novare Coram.” http://www.newmessage…./love(3:01PM) LaRaeUk: Thank you Sang. That is helpful.(3:01PM) Michael&Christine_AZ: We are so lucky to be here with you all. Thank you Marshall for your always powerful words.(3:01PM) Carol_Society: A FEW REMINDERS FOR TODAY:

QUESTIONS: Please submit any questions regarding The Journey to a New Life:…(3:02PM)
halfbanana: (this is Virgie in Washington state) re: latent Knowledge: when I read the passage, it spoke to my life situation right now … I am a Christian pastor, recently discovered the NM, and it so happens, I am not serving a church right now–which would have made things a lot more complicated. I’m Knowledge kept me away from that kind of commitment … But now I’m having to open up the future of my career in ways that have made me very anxious. I am learning to let go of my expectations. I can understand why the NM says religious leaders will often reject it(!)…(3:02PM) David_kc: THanks for sharing Halfbana(3:02PM) Cameron: @Carol – Thank you. I have come to see that. Sometimes, for me, writing it down or asking here brings it focus and answers usually follow in a timely manor.(3:02PM) mellany UK: Something that helps to dissolve a little bit of the Separation for me is to remind myself that everyone is surrounded by the love and the Grace of God … everyone has a Spiritual Family…and everyone is lost to varying degrees…and is trying to find their way Home. As Patricia said recently, everyone is doing the best they can, with what they have.(3:04PM) rayhobbs_Colorado: If you are practicing stillness meditation, such as in Steps to Knowledge, and you cannot still your mind it is best then to practice this observation. Watching your thoughts pass like a parade letting the mind do whatever it wants to do and listening deeply within yourself. You are bringing the same practice here to your inner world to the stream of consciousness; this is particularly important at times when you are aroused either positively or negatively to step back and watch this and practice inner listening. So you see here The Art of Seeing applies to your outer world, it applies to things you are familiar with and things that you are not familiar with. It applies to your engagements with others and your activities in the world and what you do with your mind from moment to moment. For the mind to serve you truly as it is designed to do then you must either be practicing this kind of presence of mind, or being present to the mind and to your outer and inner world, or the mind is…(3:04PM) rayhobbs_Colorado: … at rest or engaged in a simple and beneficial activity. These three things give the mind a reprieve and also develop its greater abilities. Why is it a developed person can look into your mind and discern your motivations but you cannot look into theirs and to see? It is because they are more present and focused upon you then you are upon them and they have developed these greater powers of the mind. (The Art of Seeing)(3:04PM) Mirjana_Sweden: Hi fellow students. For me, this time is very demanding, for my personal life. And I am becoming aware of some problems that people close to me are starting to get through. I feel that I must be available to them. It is bringing me into another perspective, and I feel like, demands about my own life are becoming less pressuring. I feel that a capacity from nowhere is coming up to surfice and I am making myself ready to be there for these people. It suddenly feels like there is space enough in spite that I am working and studying durings the days of the week. I have to care for a woman who is ill, to feed her and help her. I was afaraid first when I heard that she has been diagnosed with cancer, but now I just menage to visit her and I am not thinking fearfully. I care about her. It is difference there.(3:04PM) Alison_Boulder: ADVOCACY GATHERINGS meet Thursdays 7-8:30GMT, 6:30-8MST on Uberconference.com/NewMessage. Share with others the questions that you ask yourself today, which honors their light as a person who has come for a greater purpose as well.(3:04PM) Debbie-Mi: Thank you for sharing your experience Halfbana and welcome to the NM!(3:04PM) Robert_Society: As our chat for today comes to a close…a grateful thank you to all of you who are moving with the New Message and its Messenger. Our numbers are small but growing. This is the beginning of a great movement into the future for humanity. May we be the seeds and the seed givers to others through our demonstrations and expressions of Knowledge. Let us never give up, never stop, and know that we serve something much bigger than ourselves…we serve the Plan of God. Nasi Novare Coram(3:04PM) Cameron: @ halfbanana – very brave and courageous(3:04PM) Insuk_Korea: Thank you for sharing about your feeling.(3:05PM) Kristina FL: Virgie Washington, thank you for your recognition , courage and honesty.(3:05PM) ellenrose-boulder: @Halfbanana When I first found the NM I was working as a Jewish educator. It took a lot for me to be able to move with Knowledge since it required not only a massive rearrangement with my identity, family and relationships but also of my job and my career path.(3:05PM) justin-calif-!: -always great being a part of the chat- have to run now- stay safe, all, nnc-(3:05PM) Alio_Texas: Virgie in Washington: I think we are all always in flux and change with temporary times that are more linear and understandable.(3:05PM) Adria_Poland: Thank you so much Marshall, Reed and Patricia for sharing and expanding the compassionate seeing practice, it’s so desperately needed today; to read, reread and practice. And thank you all. Nasi Novare Coram(3:07PM) Val_Westport: Stillness, yes–as we sit quietly with Knowledge we provide stability and ballast for this wildly rocking boat we’re all together in.(3:07PM) Virpi_FI: Thank you for this Marshall, I needed it today: “Knowledge is what directs you toward and keeps you engaged with the NMG. Your personal mind won’t do that for very long. It is evident that Knowledge is working on you daily. It is the invisible Light, the silent Force that moves us!”(3:08PM) Kahala_Oregon: @Vergie, we have meet-ups in Portland if you are interested.(3:08PM) rayhobbs_Colorado: In conversation with others, listen for what they are really saying. To do this, you have to still your mind and just be quiet, listening. Much of what you hear will be irrelevant, insignificant or even untrue, but you are listening for what is really happening within them. Since people are rarely aware of their own real experience in the moment, you will be able to hear things in them and serve them and speak perhaps more directly to what you are hearing and seeing. This shifts your conversation from being superficial and insignificant into a deeper arena where a true engagement may be possible. (Deepening Your Spiritual Practice)(3:08PM) Susan Malaysia: Thank you, MVS, Patricia, Reed, the Society and everyone on this chat, NNC(3:08PM) Youngkyo: Thank you all. Nasi Novare Coram(3:08PM) nenette_istanbul: my Steps Today: THE DESIRE TO SEE IS LIKE THE DESIRE TO KNOW. It too requires a refinement of your mind’s faculties. To see with clear vision means you are not seeing with preference. It means that you are able to perceive that which is actually occurring rather than that which you wish to see. There is something actually occurring beyond your wishes. This is very true. The desire to see, then, is the desire to see a greater truth. This requires a greater honesty and a greater openness of mind….”
Step 19 Today I wish to see.(3:08PM) Lin_Boulder: @Virgie @Ellenrose, it truly is a freedom journey, though at the time of unburdening, it didn’t seem as a freedom at all.(3:09PM) halfbanana: @Kahala Thank you–maybe at some point, though it’s not easy for me to travel right now(3:09PM) MerrieB.akaMaryS_Boulder: @Ken_OK, the line from a song, “I hope you’re keeping some kind of record,” has one image I return to. That “some kind of record” often makes me think of Hansel and Gretel leaving a trail of crumbs… when I review the record of my willingness to explore the GC corridor, what I see is a very gradual acceptance, a trepidation against being overwhelmed beyond all discernment.
Often, though, that trail of crumbs looks like a lot of intricate fretwork made of light rising up into thin air. “keeping some kind of record” as the unspoken need of a life, even one that seemingly has been put on the shelf, answered by your way of being with the presences of that need (what must you do to ensure your legacy, what are you doing, what legacy ensuring)(3:09PM)
Darlene_Society: Grace and power and movement and recognition and great love appear on this Chat each time and I thank you all for your participation and words. Our deep gratitude to the Messenger, and to Patricia and Reed, now, and also throughout the week, let us remember them. Nasi Novare Coram(3:13PM) rayhobbs_Colorado: You want to use the mind instead of being used by it. That is so very important. That shifts the authority from your ideas to a deeper power within yourself. But it is not easy to do. It is not easy to undo and to go against years and decades of social conditioning, and to learn how to re-evaluate your past experiences in such a way that you can get the maximum value from them.
You carry unforgiveness within yourself because you feel wounded by people and by circumstances. And you have not forgiven these people and these circumstances because you have not gained the real value from them—what they taught you about the need for Knowledge and the consequences of living without Knowledge, what they have taught you about what real wisdom is and the consequences of living without wisdom. And the only way you can escape this is through fantasy and through acquisition—the pursuit of people, places and things. And you become obsessed here because without this, you feel the profound insecurity and anxiety of the mind. Once your mind begins to serve a greater power within yourself, however, you begin to undo the foundation of its insecurity. It is insecure because it is separate, because it does not have a greater power to serve. It was designed to serve. But if it has nothing to serve but itself, then it falls into disarray, and its true capabilities are not realized. That is why Knowledge within you gives direction to the mind, gives restraint to the mind, begins to direct the mind—naturally, appropriately, for this is the true nature of your existence. In the true hierarchy of your being, your body serves your mind and your mind serves Knowledge, or Spirit, … and your Spirit serves God. Upstate NY: These chats are so meaningful to me! Thank you Robert and Darlene for being the moderators. thank you to MVS. Patricia, and Reed for you demonstration and thank you to the society for your unending support! Truly blessed we are to be here and a part of The NM and The Great Coordination. You all have a place in my heart. Nasi Novare Coram(3:30PM) Mirjana_Sweden: Everyone is suffering living in Separation. Without the awareness of Knowledge and following Knowledge, without a real ladder from Heaven, what else can they do but all the things that people do to compensate in some way?(3:31PM) Mirjana_Sweden: Thank You Marshall. We are blessed to be here with You(3:31PM) rayhobbs_Colorado: This is the great journey in life, more important than success, wealth, beauty, charm, acquisition and the approval of others. This is why you were sent into the world. Here instead of just being a human being who has some spiritual nature somewhere, you are really a spiritual being working through your humanity, working through the limits of the mind and the body, and the limits placed upon you by the world around you.
Because you are sent here for a greater purpose, you are like an angel in the world, trying to function within the confinements of living within a body and trying to use the mind effectively to communicate with others and to discern correctly the world around you.(3:32PM) Val_Westport: As a collector of ladders, I’m so very grateful that God has sent them. We are loved and valued; Heaven has sent us instruction manuals and ways up and out. With gratitude for the Presence and The Messenger and the Gifts that have been given all along.(3:32PM) Tamara: Along this journey I have walked, ran, hid, fell back, leaped forward….I have felt the windless sail, the loving touch of something unseen. As I live with Mystery I connect with people…people young and old, homeless and wealthy, people lost, people found….and here I am grateful for the evolution of the expression of Creation through me, through us. Let the power of Source being cultivated within the individual relate to the seed of Trust so that Truth may emanate in all they do. Let the awareness of the state of the world extend beyond the here and now to encompass the needs of the future of humanity. May those who must follow the Path of Knowledge provided by God’s New Message reach one of the many seeds being planted in the world now. With slow steps I am cultivating the ability to respond, I am cultivating the ability to see, I am cultivating the expression of Truth and for this I am grateful.(3:34PM) rayhobbs_Colorado: Over time, you will identify more and more with Knowledge because it is reliable, it is deep, and it is powerful. It is everything your intellect is not. And you will feel that your life has a greater foundation—a foundation beyond this world—and this will give you the experience of being in the world but not of the world, providing you with a sense of security and continuity and strength that nothing in the world could ever provide for you. This will give you the strength to weather and to endure and to learn from life’s tragedies and disappointments, from the disappointment in other people and their tragic decisions for themselves. This will give you the strength to endure personal loss and times of great confusion and frustration.(3:34PM) rayhobbs_Colorado: Here your current runs deep and is not destroyed by your outer experiences. Here your purpose remains, regardless of what happens on the outside. What happens on the outside just changes how you will try to communicate the meaning that you are experiencing within yourself. The outer world will require constant adaptation and problem solving—constant problems, obstacles and difficulties along the way. But you are anchored in a deeper reality now. It is not a reality that is based upon ideas or ideology. It is the power and presence of Knowledge, which is beyond estimation and definition.(3:36PM) MVS Society: halfbanana: Jesus will be with you in facing this threshold.(3:36PM) JeffreyAdler_ATL: Tamara: beautiful. You demonstrate this from “Building a Bridge…” “What created you and sent you into the world is not a human invention.”(3:36PM) rayhobbs_Colorado: Here your greater gifts will emerge, and your life will be an inspiration and a great service to others, according to your original design and intent. This fulfills the need of the soul, which is your deepest and most profound need. If you were able to satisfy all other needs, this would remain for you as the most fundamental and important need. Beyond meeting the basic requirements of taking care of your body and your mind, this is your greatest need. Satisfy this and you will have a satisfaction and a sense of permanence that nothing in the world can destroy. And you will be a light unto the world. And your service to the world will be profound and in many cases inexplicable. (Deepening Your Spiritual Practice)(3:37PM) Insuk_Korea: Thank you Marshall, Patricia, Reed and All. You have not found this by chance; you have been found. Deep inside you will feel the resonance!(3:42PM) Mirjana_Sweden: Thank you all. Even being on the chat a few minutes here and there when not having time enough to sit, is enough to get engaged in this flow of K that we are part of in this time. The Mystery and the Steps, we can not escape a kind of.(3:43PM) Betty_UK: Thank you everyone Nasi Novare Coram(3:43PM) Hyeonam_Korea: Thank you all sharing your experiences. Thank you Messenger, Patricia and Reed. Nasi Novare Coram.(3:46PM) Kelton: Thank you all. Nasi Novare Coram(3:47PM) Tyyne_Society: MVS – What you say here: ” Jesus will be with you in facing this threshold.” Has moved me deeply.(3:50PM)
I just finished reading the chat for today and want to express my appreciation for the inspiration I feel from all of the sharing. How can the world not be receiving this deep healing touch even if it’s still hidden in its collective mind below the conscious level. I feel like it must be inoculating humanity for facing the times to come. And that every time a student of Knowledge makes an effort to engage with others no matter what the momentary outcome may be, a tiny seed is planted that at some future time will bear fruit. That is my prayer at least. NNC
What guidelines given in this Teaching spoke to you most powerfully?
I have been reading the teaching “Building the Bridge to a New Life this week and pondering its impact on me. I feel most drawn to the guideline that asks me to follow the emergence of Knowledge in me right now.
“You do not yet realize the magnitude of what is happening or how great its possibilities for the future will be.” This impacts me deeply.
MVS Society: Do not think that Knowledge is all about having big realizations or visionary experiences. It is the constant Force that is preserving your life and moving your life slowly and constantly. In facing difficult decisions or real challenges in life, it can be more forceful, but day by day, it is working beneath the water line.
This speaks to me loud and clear!
“…you must gather your resources and conserve your energy so that you have time to be alone, to learn to be still and to listen. You will seek quiet now more than stimulation. You will find that the social activities around you will be aggravating and irritating to you, for you need something else now. You need to listen. You need to be quiet. You need to gain a greater connection to this emerging power within yourself.”
I have been doing this. I did this before I moved to the country, this is what I was doing in Moscow to prepare me for what I am to do now.
Then I did this. “At some point, it will be necessary for you to begin to study the pathway that the New Message has provided: to take the Steps to Knowledge, to read the Wisdom from the Greater Community and to learn about Greater Community Spirituality. This will be like food to you, food for your heart, food for your soul.”
And this, “Do not adopt firm beliefs. If you feel insecure, if you are unsure of yourself, it is fine; it is natural. Let the explanation be open.”
Everything is falling into place. Today I was revisitng Step 50. Today I will be with Knowledge. I wrote in my journal: “If I keep persevering, remain teachable, and open myself to new awareness, I will eventually get to where I need to go.”
This pretty sums up what building a bridge to a new life means for me.
