jeanine_Society:  As we await today’s Chat to begin, please take a moment to be with the words of our dear Messenger from the last Chat:

“Condemning the world is like walking the floors of the hospital and complaining that everyone is sick.”

“People, individually, usually break down before they can change. Nations follow this same course, deferring constructive action as long a possible, breaking down before they can change, if they ever will. Break down is part of the process of change living in Separation. We must accept this.”

“Yet while breakdown in nations may be unavoidable on a large scale, it is still a tragedy of immense proportions. A significant percentage of the human family may not survive the Great Waves in the decades ahead.”

“A major report came out recently that it will take 3 trillion dollars— $3,000,000,000,000 —to repair the basic infrastructure within the US alone—roads, bridges, dams, power grids, sewage systems etc. The seeds of constant functional breakdown are all around…

jeanine_Society:  … us and beneath our feet while political and personal crisis draw us away.”

(For Perspective, in fiscal year 2015, the entire federal budget was $3.8 trillion. These trillions of dollars make up about 21 percent of the U.S. economy, as measured by Gross Domestic Product, or GDP. It’s also about $12,000 for every woman, man and child in the United States.)

Donald_Pa:  It is so good to be here with you all. I feel stronger as more and more continue to gather around the fire. Nasi Novare Coram
Jim B. Upstate NY:  @jeanine yes it is amazing just to think of the Unseen forces and Knowledge @ work just to get us here and help us to stay.
Youngkyo_Korea:  Hello everyone!
Jennie_Netherlands:  About Seeing, Knowing and Taking Action what impacted me the most is ……”You must choose, otherwise, and if this means you have to leave your friends or break away from your family, this is what it will require. This is what has been required of all the great saints and messengers and all the people who have gone on to do important and great things. In nearly all cases, they had to break away from their former allegiances to have the freedom, the strength and the opportunity to assume a greater life and a greater service.”…
Tonia_Denmark:  Thank you for the reminder Jeanine.
Jeanne_Boulder:  Thanks Jeanine such a great reminder, we do complain way too much. “Stop complaining. Do not waste your precious time and energy complaining about something if you are not prepared to take action regarding it. Instead use your time and energy, your thoughts and resources, to prepare yourself, to prepare others and to strengthen your connection to Knowledge.”(8:49AM)
Amina Russia:  1. The New Message will provide the tools, but you must use them and learn to use them wisely—building the Four Pillars of your life to counteract eccentricity in areas of your life where you are in denial; building a solid foundation; building a strong relationship with yourself, with other people, with where you live, with what you do, with how you think; discovering your strengths and your weaknesses, fortifying the former and managing the latter. There is no other way if you are to become strong and self-determined in the face of the Great Waves of change.
Insuk_Korea:  Hello everyone!
Carol_Society:  It is now the hour, everyone. Let us take a moment of stillness together and then send our strength and gratitude to the Messenger, who has provided for each of us, and for all of humanity, a new way forward as we navigate the new world that is now before us.
shane_NZ:  hello everyone..
Reed_Society:  @Jeanine, an important guideline regarding the world, thank you. Reminds me of this, which I read last night “When you condemn something, you enter into relationship with it. Your condemnation bonds you to it. Condemn evil and you will be bonded to evil. Condemn a form of ignorance and you will be bonded to it. If you do not want to be bonded to those influences that are holding you back or clouding your vision or disabling you from gaining access to your own inner resources, then do not use condemnation…. It is not only for moral reasons that we say, “Do not condemn others.” It is for practical reasons as well because it creates injury and harm and prevents your progress. Therefore, it is for practical reasons that this must be discouraged.”
Reed_Society:  From Self Expression and the Mental Environment
LaRaeUK:  I resonated with that too @Jennie. It reminded me of when Jesus said “let the dead bury the dead”.
jeanine_Society:  @Reed – yes and important passage from ‘Self Expression and the Mental Environment’. Thank you Reed.
Ilhun_Korea:  @Reed Thank you for the quote from Self Expression and the Mental Environment.
Ilhun_Korea:  “When you condemn something, you enter into relationship with it.”
Surina_Calif.:  Good Day, Everyone! Wonderful to be here! Nasi Novare Coram.
Jim B. Upstate NY:  Yes Reed-that is a powerful Revelation that I am always practicing staying with when viewing the world. Thank you!
Debbie_MI:  @Reed-Thank you for that passage about condemnation.
Alexandra-NL:  Thank you Reed. Can we expect an audio version of that revelation sometimes in the future?
Jennie_Netherlands:  It is everything your focus and concentration is on will become greater
LaRaeUK:  Powerful reminder….thank you Reed.
Donald_Pa:  @ Reed Thank you for that reminder, it resonates with my funeral experience from last week.
mellany UK:  Hi everyone!
jeanine_Society:  A warm welcome to everyone joining in on our Chat today on Month 2, Week 2 of the The New World Free School Session 2017, and especially if you are new to the New Message and new to our Chat gathering.
Jeanne_Boulder:  Thanks Reed I like that reminder “When you condemn something, you enter into relationship with it. Your condemnation bonds you to it.”
jeanine_Society:  Let us take a moment to to send our prayers and good intentions out to the world, especially to Syria and the region around it as global tensions escalate. Let us pray that the key players involved will be open to guidance from Knowledge and take the time to see and know before taking action.
Shrimayi Netherlands:  @Thank you Reed It is so important to understand this.
Reed_Society:  This passage signals the kind of care we need to take in how we respond to world events, how we engage our mind in response to the world around us.

Carol_Society:  The Core Revelation for this month, “Seeing, Knowing and Taking Action,” Ch. 14 in The Great Waves of Change, affords us the opportunity to further develop the critical practices described in this revelation. As world conditions and events continue to escalate from day to day, we need more than ever to be able to See: what do we see? To Know: what do we Know? And to Act: what must we do?

In reading the Core Revelation for Month Two, Seeing, Knowing and Taking Action, what impacted you the most?

Jim B. Upstate NY:  Idealism justifies condemnation.” Step 55-I will accept the world as it is.
Kelvin_Boulder:  “This passage signals the kind of care we need to take in how we respond to world events, how we engage our mind in response to the world around us” Such a great practice to be with.
90099:  Hello everyone
Russell_Sask:  Syria will be alright now that the Canadian government pledged $840 million dollars to help out. Don’t know where their going to get it from perhaps, There goes my pension money. Oh well like we learn as Students Be in the World but not of it.
rayhobbs_Colorado:  @Carol_Society: Action is necessary to fulfill what one is seeing and knowing.
carolyn_ct:  Condemnation gets in the way of being able to respond mindfully, responsibly. I find I often have to sift through difficult emotions regarding harsh world events.
Tonia_Denmark:  Thank you Reed for putting a light on that.
Russell_Sask:  The Beetles had it right “Will you still need me, Will you still feed me, If I make 64….
manuel_:)_Germany:  To me what resonates with me most is the fact of taking action after having gained an awareness. “Talk is cheap” and is usually followed by most people, but what brings clarity and certainty is of course ACTION. Just do it… and stop complaining about the world… this will free your mind…
rayhobbs_Colorado:  People want to have certainty before they act, but it is the action itself that creates the certainty. It is the courage to move and to change one’s thinking and one’s circumstances that creates the certainty. This is the confirmation.
Jeanne_Boulder:  @Russell, i think the money is for those who need it the most not the government
Amina Russia:  @Jim B. about Idealism justifies condemnation,,resonates,,i see it often around me and in me
Alisa_Russia:  I was listening to “Preparing for the Great Waves of Change” today and paid particular attention to this passage, so relevant to what is going on today. “For indeed all the great wars of humanity’s turbulent past have been a struggle, fundamentally, over gaining access to and control of other resources. Will the wealthy nations of the world insist that their lifestyle must be preserved and therefore enter into competition and conflict with one another, further degrading the rest of the world, robbing the poorer people of the world of their own ability to sustain themselves so that some grand and indulgent lifestyle can be maintained in the wealthy nations.”
LaRaeUK:  I was impacted by “You must be willing to do things that other people are not doing. You must be willing to see things that other people are not seeing, to know things that other people are not knowing and to take action that other people are not taking because in truth you may be the only person you know or one of ery few you know who is doing anything to respond and to prepare. This is how Knowledge becomes strong in you.”
Maureen_Boulder:  @ Rayhobbs: “There are many, many people who have known things for a long time. They say to themselves, “I know I must give this up” or “I know I must change this” or “I know I must do this.” But they have not yet acted because Knowledge within them is not strong enough yet to overcome their initial resistance.”
Shrimayi Netherlands:  @Carol what impacted me there were a lot of things but this is very essentie to me People want to have certainty before they act, but it is the action itself that creates the certainty. It is the courage to move and to change one’s thinking and one’s circumstances that creates the certainty. This is the confirmation. People want to have no doubts before they act. But it is the action itself, if it is true and appropriate, that relieves you from doubt at last.l
James_Boulder:  @Reed And yet I’ve found the habit of condemnation is not easily broken, there are numerous beliefs and deeply entrenched neuropathy’s that reinforce this habit. Its a slow and deliberate process of rerouting this function.
MaryS_Boulder:  amen, @amina, “counteract eccentricity… build foundation”
Amina Russia:  Alisa Russia,i remember that passage as well every time i hear or see the war news
MaryL_Boulder:  A new way forward for humanity must start with a new way forward for me and my relationship to this world…I must bring all my intention and attention to what I am to do. “Your task now is to prepare and to become strong with Knowledge. Do not take your eyes off this task. Do not become overly concerned with other people. Do not become disheartened at the lack of response in people around you. You must bring all of your attention to bear on what you yourself must do. It will take all of your strength to do this.”
rayhobbs_Colorado:  Most people will not look, so they will not see. They will not look, they will not really consider what they are seeing, so they look and do not see.
The second error is that people will not be with what they see.
15599:  “Where you live, how you live, how you move about, your work, your health, the amount of support you gain from your relationships, your behavior and your emotions—these are all very important. It is not enough to just change one’s thinking. One must change one’s life.
Here you will have to override your social conditioning and your weaker tendencies—disappointing other people, breaking the chains that hold you in place. The power to do this comes from your determination not to be a slave to other forces, not to be bound and hindered by things that are not true and genuine. You build the strength to do this by doing this. This is what will carry you forward.”
Maureen_Boulder:  @ MaryL That’s the bottom line.
shane_NZ:  “People use confusion as a place to hide, to mask the things that they are recognizing and to avoid being with these things and taking action. It is like a smokescreen so that people will not have to see, know and act and take the risks and face the challenge. It is a group addiction. It is a mass avoidance.”
jeanine_Society:  @James – I know what you mean. That is where the hourlies come in handy to help break up our force of habits…
rayhobbs_Colorado:  @Maureen_Boulder: You lose the inspiration if you do not act.
Maureen_Boulder:  @ rayhobbs I agree.
Alisa_Russia:  @rayhobbs – “Three stages – there is the awareness of something, there is being with that awareness, to study it and try to understand what it means, and then there is taking action. There is seeing the sign, there is being with the sign to see what it means and what it has to teach you, and then there is taking a concerted action.” Signs from the World
James_Boulder:  This passage impacted me the most: “Observe yourself. See what your mind tells you. Listen to the different voices within you. Do you use reason or emotion or the consensus of others or authority figures to dissuade you from being with something that you see? What are the ways that you undermine your certainty and invalidate your own experience? Do you use reason or faith or assumptions or other people’s authority or convention or history—what do you use to betray yourself and your experience? You must know this. You must know both your strengths and your weaknesses. You must know your tendencies regarding seeing, knowing and acting.”
Wow what a powerful verse, a habit hole of self inquiry.
Amina Russia:  @MaryS,,yes, especially building strong foundation with where i live-that’s my weak side, i know…
Rosa_UK:  Hi everyone!
Reed_Society:  @Ray, @Manuel, this reality of Confirmation is such an important truth in this revelation. That movement and action brings confirmation and a feeling of rightness that then brings further Knowing and the illumination of the next step to take. This is the reality of “know as you go” as Darlene once put it, feeling out the way or at times even groping in the dark for the next foothold instead of sitting back in life and requiring a vision or grander sense of future. Waiting to take this initial action leads to a damn of ambivalence and hesitation that can build and intensify until a resolving action is taken.
Howard Boulder:  God morning all
Carol_Society:  @Yes, MaryL: Your relationship to the world. This struck me: “Relationship is realized through recognition [seeing], through resonance [knowing] and through taking action. This is true with your relationship with a person, with a place or with a great set of events.” A great set of events? We have a relationship with great events? What is my relationship with the Great Waves of change, particularly with the enormous suffering in the world and the escalating world conflict? I have been with this question this past week, as well as asking, “What do I see here? What do I know? Is there anything I must do now?” And even though I feel a great sense of foreboding, these questions and the Core Revelation are serving as a life jacket amid the turbulent Great Waves… those on the inside as well as the outside…
Jim B. Upstate NY:  For me Carol it always comes down to my practice and the work involved to stay with the journey of reclaiming Knowledge. The process is long and takes great patience. I am seeing and am beginning to know little things here and there. Yet it is the process from day to day even minute to minute that I am always being with my practice. Being with the Mystery and the Presence for me is so important. For we are conditioned to see and hear and “know” with our senses. This is what blinds us in so many ways. Being with the Mystery and the Presence with the Great Faith is what I am beginning to focus upon with all of my heart and mind. And stillness is the way for in stillness all things can be known.
Jennie_Netherlands:  I experience a lot of people get afraid and shocked because I of my actions. That is another step to consider….
rayhobbs_Colorado:  The less burden you have to carry regarding your possessions and regarding relationships that you are engaged in that have no real value or purpose the more energy you will have the more resources you will have internally to consider what you must do. (Simplicity)
Jorge_Spain:  “There comes a time to act, and this represents a threshold within itself.”
Alio:  Hi all and God Morning to you too Howard.
Donald_Pa:  @Russell So glad to hear that Canada is taking the lead by attending to those who are in most in need. A great counter to those dissonant forces driving the situation, the anti toxin to the well filled by the media kool aid.
15599:  “Your task now is to prepare and to become strong with Knowledge. Do not take your eyes off this task. Do not become overly concerned with other people. Do not become disheartened at the lack of response in people around you. You must bring all of your attention to bear on what you yourself must do. It will take all of your strength to do this.”
Russell_Sask:  I was at a local farmers market two days ago. People see things happening but can not process it. The Bee Keeper Honey farm lost 90% of their hives this winter. I responded the Bees are in trouble, Humans are in Danger. I managed to talk about “The Allies of Humanity” with one organic grower who was selling product and giving handouts about Monsanto. I believe he will follow through with his curiosity.
Robert_Society:  An aspect of preparation that we often overlook is that the practice and decision making happens largely on a small and day to day basis. We think it is all about big decisions, but they are less frequent. We build our connection to Knowledge and strength in decision making by exercising this aspect daily in our mundane activities. Then when the bigger decisions arise, we have the foundation to approach them wisely and objectively.

rayhobbs_Colorado:  Your relationship with your family members is very important in shaping your perception and in determining your actions. These things all replace the natural inner guidance that God has placed within you, a deeper mind within you called Knowledge. Knowledge lives within you, beyond the reach and the realm of your intellect. And it is guiding you and providing wisdom for you every day. But if your mind is locked, if your feelings are withheld, if you are in judgment against yourself and other people, you will not hear this counsel. You will not be able to receive this wisdom and this guidance.

It is as if you are locked up in a prison of your own mind—unable to feel, unable to relate, unable to see clearly from your vantage point, held in place by your own judgments and feelings and inability to express yourself constructively. Even if you are living in wealth and splendor, you are like a prisoner in your own mind. You feel withheld, you feel choked by your own irresolutions regarding…

rayhobbs_Colorado:  … important people in your life. You do not feel free because you are not free within yourself. You are not free to see, to know and to respond to Knowledge and to follow what you most deeply know and what you most deeply know to be true. (Healing Relationships)
Debbie_MI:  What impacted me was “Every act of courage and integrity requires overcoming something, releasing something and escaping something.”
Alisa_Russia:  I am becoming more and more aware that the main preparation is internal – building my connection to Knowledge. The NM and the Messenger do not repeat “take the Steps to Knowledge” for nothing.
jeanine_Society:  And there are those of us ‘jumpers’ with a tendency to want to act too soon, skipping the ‘knowing’ part…learning to take the time to be with what we are seeing before acting is so important too…
McGregor_Thailand:  Hi all, my first chat ever, and a student of The Steps To Knowledge for six months now, I’m an Australian living in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Robert_Society I watched a link a few nights ago where you described 77 Steps that Marshall had received, very powerful and your words touched me deeply
Russell_Sask:  Keeping an eye on what data is published about our dear friend Sol the Sun we have had a sharp increase in solar flare power disturbances
Alisa_Russia:  @Jeanine – so very true!
Joyanne_Canada:  Welcome McGregor
mellany UK:  Welcome, McGregor!
Ellen_Society:  Welcome McGregor! It is great that you have joined us!
Ken_Oklahoma:  Welcome McGregor_Tailand!
Alisa_Russia:  Great to have you with us, McGregor1
Jennie_Netherlands:  Welcome McGregor!
Robert_Society:  Welcome McGregor, glad you made it here.
McGregor_Thailand:  Hi Ellen nice to chat
Jeanne_Boulder:  Yes Debbie I agreeWhat impacted me was “Every act of courage and integrity requires overcoming something, releasing something and escaping something.”(9:16AM)
Lingling_China:  @Jeanine ‘That is where the hourlies come in handy to help break up our force of habits…‘ what ou said bring new understanding to me about hourly ractice.
15599:  Thank you Robert, “decision making happens largely on a small and day to day basis.” the choices we make moment to moment will form our future.
LaRaeUK:  Yes Robert…bit by bit, day by day…practice by practice….
manuel_:)_Germany:  @thanks Reed. @Robert. I feel the same. It is in our daily mundane world, thinking and “little” decision making where the foundations are made to Knowledge and the inner strength. Once bigger problems arises on the horizon we will be well prepared to make the right decisions….with Knowledge
LaRaeUK:  Welcome McGregor!!
Hardev_Australia:  Welcome McGregor, good to see you here.
James_Boulder:  “It is a fact in human nature that people adapt to their circumstances…This adaptation represents both a strength and a weakness.”
I was struck by the framing of humanities ability to adapt as both a strength and weakness. It begs the question, what in my life requires my adaptation and what in my life requires me to resist adapting to?
McGregor_Thailand:  Ellen, I thought I would ask my pastor tomorrow, what his thoughts were regarding other intelligent life in the universe?
Richmond_UK:  @Jeanine in my youth I tended towards quicker decisions, especially if I had to make several. The NM has certainly taught me increased patience and the necessity of waiting for certainty and direction around key decisions.
Jordan_Montreal:  In seeing what is coming over the horizon, has anyone found astrology helpful?
Russell_Sask:  One of the recent Facebook topics is about having preparedness for two weeks without power. I am sure that effects the larger population bases even more than rural folks that are almost used to power outages.
Reed_Society:  @James “And yet I’ve found the habit of condemnation is not easily broken.” A very important resource for understanding this is the chapter on Forgiveness from the Wisdom books. Here it speaks directly to why it is so hard to forgive and not to judge: it says that the mind is built around 3 things “it has fear, it has excitement and it has judgment. Take away judgment, and things begin to break up. Then you begin to see through the appearance of things.” So judgement is an core activity that bounds the mind, gives it definition and distinction, and establishes its walls, doors, and roof in the world. “Why is forgiveness such a relief? Because it lets your mind open and relax. Why is forgiveness so difficult to accomplish? Because you are afraid to go beyond your mind.” And so we carry these judgements because, fundamentally, they make us who we think we are and give us a secure home to live in while in the world. To let go of judgement is to begin to lets this construct break up, and…
Reed_Society:  … ultimately to step outside the personal mind.
Jim B. Upstate NY:  @ Robert oh how so true this is! Thank you!
Jim B. Upstate NY:  Welcome McGregor!!

Alio:  Regarding development, seeing, knowing and acting, I have been at times perplexed as I continue to do the preparation. I know it never ends, not even after this world. When to act has perplexed me at times. I posted the following at “Students of Steps to Knowledge” group page for discussion because discussions in chat are difficult for me and I am a bit clumsy. I will look forward there for some conversation but will likely just observe here today. NNC

Good morning all,

With the Campfire chat coming up soon to discuss “seeing, knowing and acting” in a world literally on fire, what comes up in me that I’ve been feeling the need to discuss, is what has seemed a contradiction….. or perhaps rather “an important discernment” would be a better term, for the instructions to withhold acting in the world while preparation has time to mature, “what might be a very long time”, while the world is calling for urgent actions right now.

I know that various degrees of evolution exist in each…

Alio:  … of us from previous experience, previous stillness practices prior to the New Message upgrade, previous engagements with the world and with life. I know that we will each be activated at a proper time, but I also recall a reference to (paraphrased) “begin to act and learn as you go”.

I know the importance of “holding inside” and using restraint. I know the folly of acting without direction, confusing other voices with the voice of wisdom, but I also see the need to jump the nest and flap fledgling wings even if the first flight results in a flutter to the ground.

Knowledge has impacted every area of my life and some of those rub up against activities in the world where deceptions have distorted life’s intent. Some of these are in areas where those who have misused free will have evaded exposure and corrections by accusing those who would uncover their activities of being conspiracy theorists and producers of fake news.

I was concerned with Patricia’s instruction to “not pay…

Alio:  … attention to conspiracies” and I hope that we can get perhaps some more consideration of that.

I’ve been having some conversations about what are called conspiracies. con-spire: To act together. We students conspire in a positive way. It goes on all day long everywhere in everybody’s life and in every aspect; we always act together, never alone, sometimes in a positive way, often in dishonest and life devastating deceptive ways.

The intervention, it’s secret manipulations, the high level gov secrecy, the designs for control….. this is all conspiracy in a negative way. It is real and to pay attention to it, to be active in this realm of reality makes us conspiracy theorists.

Conspiracies are real, both positive and very negative. Intentional deceptions are very real and are used on every point on the scale all the way from interpersonal all the way up to the planetary and other levels beyond.

When some one says, “Do not pay attention to conspiracies” they are saying “Do…

Alio:  … not listen to anyone who says there is a hidden intentional deception.”

There is a wisdom in not falling into the overwhelm of fear and the energy depletion of diving into activity with every single conspiracy in the universe. Let Knowledge “choose you battles”, but do not refuse to “see” what it there because you have been told not to look.

When someone, when the world, when someone, ESPECIALLY someone high in power tells me to not pay attention……… I pay very close attention! I look. Sometimes I see something extremely disturbing to my smaller mind. But Knowledge is not afraid and sometimes am deeply compelled to act in a very committed way that appears to be almost obsessive to those who lice without purpose and direction.

I think this is a very important conversation as we grow together in Knowledge. Thank you for hearing me. NNC and may we act wisely, promptly and with great power under their counsel.

rayhobbs_Colorado:  Freedom here is not the freedom to be chaotic it is not the freedom to be dissociative from yourself and others it is not the freedom to lose yourself in fantasy or to give your life to things that have no value no purpose and no meaning. Instead, freedom is the freedom to find and follow Knowledge to really be true to yourself to be true to what is really true within yourself. This is simplicity within you.
Lin_Boulder:  @Jeanine, resonate a lot. To learn and manage our own tendency is important, while others might need to learn to take action.
McGregor_Thailand:  Hardly what part of Oz are u from, I’m from Bondi, Sydney
Carol_Society:  Jeanine, Alisa: Yes, the ‘Knowing’ stage is so critical before the Acting. This is helpful for me: “One must ask, ‘Is this the truth? Must I take action regarding this?’ You can even take a position against what you are seeing to see what kind of response occurs within you. You may test it in this way. You may challenge it. But in the end, if it is true, you will see there is a great certainty that action must be taken regarding that which you see and know.”
Joyanne_Canada:  so true Richmond, it has taught me much patience and that waiting to know is a must do.
Betty_uk:  @Shrimayi, yes very important, by doing what you know, this brings certainty. But you do not know at the outset until you carry on with what you must do.
Frederick_UK:  Step 83, in the practice of the Continuation Training gives reference to this Great Revelation. In the second paragraph it refers to:
WHEN YOU ATTEND TO WHAT YOU KNOW and follow
what you know, This gives you inner confirmation. This heals
the division within yourself and brings real resolution to your
experience.
Joyanne_Canada:  thank you Carol,
Kristina_Boulder:  Regarding taking action… I read somewhere in the NM that ambivalence comes from lack of actions. If you know you must do something, then you need to do it, otherwise this knowing will turn into ambivalence. I have experienced this a lot and can see the difference between how it feels if you do act on something you know and if you dont. Thats how I determined that I’m not doing a lot of things I’m suppose to be doing based on that feeling and the only thing I can do to change that is to start doing things I know I need to do.
MaryL_Boulder:  @Jeanine, yes you have the jumpers and the sitters which I am prone to do waiting for certainty or confirmation before action. “You cannot sit on the sidelines and understand. You will never see the truth there. You must enter the fray because this is your life. This is why you have come. This has everything to do with your circumstances, with your well-being, with your freedom, with the value and quality of your life and with the value and quality of your most precious relationships.”
Inhee_Korea:  @Robert “We build our connection to Knowledge and strength in decision making by exercising this aspect daily in our mundane activities. Then when the bigger decisions arise, we have the foundation to approach them wisely and objectively.” so true. Thank you.
jeanine_Society:  @Carol – thank you, that is helpful.
Ayesha_Society:  @James , regarding adaptation being strength and weakness, this struck me as well. Where is the stagnation or resistance to change happening?
jeanine_Society:  From the Recommendations: “Build self-confidence. You gain confidence by seeing what is necessary and taking action. You begin by doing small things, everything you can see to do, step by step, to prepare yourself, to prepare your mind, to prepare your circumstances, to prepare your home and to prepare your relationships.”
Alexandra-NL:  Thank you Robert. A practice that I am getting myself acquainted with in my day to day decisions is letting my thoughts for what they are and focusing on what I feel, yes/no and letting that ferment in my being. No endless considerations and speculation, what ifs, buts etc. When I open myself to that process I feel a weight is being taken away from me and I feel great assistance…
Jim B. Upstate NY:  The 3 stages of development come to mind when we are seeing, knowing, hearing and acting upon. The stages of Knowledge are 1. Denial of Knowledge 2. Cultivation of Knowledge and 3. The expression of Knowledge. Depending on what stage one is in I feel makes all the difference in how one responds or how one does not respond to the world around them.
Joyanne_Canada:  Thank you Mary L, you cannot sit on the sidelines and understand..
McGregor_Thailand:  Dear Society, how many staff are at the Sanctuary?
Hardev_Australia:  @ McGregor, I’m n in Redland bay, near Brisbane.
Russell_Sask:  Good Old Prairie Spring snow storm right now. I would like the deck wood stove but waste of wood unless really needed. Besides I already am sitting around the Campfire Chat..
MaryL_Boulder:  Welcome McGregor. Glad you made it here.
Rudy_Boulder:  As Marshall said no the chat, you do not want to say, “I do not see that coming.” I do not want to be a person in this situation. ” You do not want to wait until the eleventh hour, for then you will have no options. Your circumstances will be dictated for you and not by you.” In waiting for the eleventh hour, it seems you have the risk of losing your freedom and I do not want to lose my freedom, so this passage helps navigate that concern. “It is true, you must earn your freedom. It is not free. Every act of courage and integrity requires overcoming something, releasing something and escaping something, both within yourself and outside of yourself.”
McGregor_Thailand:  Lived in Brisbane as a child, how long have you known of NMG
Jorge_Spain:  Thank you @Alio
Jansett_Boulder:  @James (9:19 AM MDT): I appreciate both the quote you shared and your follow-up reflection. This has been my experience too; rather than take a sacred passage and simply turn it into a sound bite, I find that more questions arise, more need for contemplation necessitates, more need for stillness and then (by Grace) action.
manuel_:)_Germany:  @Rich. Well said. As we become “older” or “wiser” or whatever you want to call it, we become also more cautious when it comes to decision making, because in the past we may have decided faster from our “guts feeling” and sometimes it went wrong. So it is good to wait a bit longer until an important decision is made, but then… ACTION
Lingling_China:  @james, Yes, about adaption, I resonate. Sometimes adapting to smething can make us stronger, but sometimes it will give chance to let other people or things to opress us even more probably.
McGregor_Thailand:  Thank you Maryl, I guess if you are from Boulder, are you working with the Society
Maria_Boulder:  @ Shrimayi- yes this same emphasis on ACTION(you quoted at 9:10) is what had the most impact on me, as well. I realized in a way I hadn’t when reading this revelation before, that we experience Knowledge IN ACTION…when all the considerations, planning, ambivalence, doubt, etc etc goes silent, and we are MOVED (an action) by Knowledge…so it made me consider something like: perhaps if I have had to think about it too much, deliberate, etc…it is a pastime of my mind, and Knowledge is being Silent. Since I am not being moved to act. Not sure I am articulating clearly here- but very impacted by this glimpse of the relationship between Movement/Action and Knowledge.
James_Boulder:  We so quickly adapt that often we may not even recognize we have.
I think of the interventions subtle yet persistent influence in our environment, to what degree are we adapting to that? Is this an adaptation of resistance or submission?
Rudy_Boulder:  Lastly, one may ask, “How can I navigate the Great Waves, my life and deal with the world?” I find that a big part of the solution lives here. “The New Message will provide the tools, but YOU must use them and learn to use them wisely.”
Betty_uk:  @Carol the part of of Seeing, Knowing and taking action that caught my attention is the following: “There is seeing a sign. Something stimulates you. You recognize something must be done. There is a time to contemplate, a time of knowing what this is, feeling the need to take it into your mind and your heart. Then there is a time of action. The action itself may have many stages. It may be a very long process, in fact, and that is true within the context of the Great Waves of change. Even a specific change that must be undertaken in one’s life may have many steps involved. You may only know the first few, but it is necessary to move with Knowledge. Only then will you know if what you are seeing is true. Only then will you know its great importance for your life.” Then questioned have I had these demonstration in my life, and how did I respond? And what will it take for me to follow what I Know?
Russell_Sask:  @James is called Normalized Deviation.
Amina Russia:  Jeanine Scociete, thank you about self confidence,it’s very important for me and actually this immediately made me recall this passage from Recommendations: If you don’t forgive yourself, you lose self-trust which you will need to rely upon increasingly in the future. You build self-trust most powerfully by following Knowledge within you.
Amina Russia:  menat jeanine_Society
JeffreyAdler_ATL:  I agree, Jansett (at 25 after, above). and thank you James. from “Achieving Peace,” WISDOM I: “All serious errors begin as a truth that is considered to be complete. Therefore, the purpose of truth is to lead you further, not to end your search. That is why when you discover something of great importance, it gives you a whole new array of questions to ask.”
Jorge_Spain:  “Take time now to be with this. Stop your endless running around and take time to be with this Greater Community message and to be with the reality of the Great Waves of change.” (Seeing, Knowing and Taking Action)
Adria_Poland:  @Kristina_B: regarding taking action. I think the Messenger said once (or quoted) that “only when you move you can feel the direction”.
MVS Society:  “Always know where your mind is going.” A directive given to me in my long years of preparation.
carolyn_ct:  @Maria_Boulder, resonating: “Only Knowledge can indicate if you are doing something inappropriate and that will only be in the face of immediate events.” Step 128, Steps to Knowledge This confirms to me the notion that action is also working as a teacher.
Jorge_Spain:  Interesting, @James
rayhobbs_Colorado:  Alisa .. As you build your foundation to Knowledge as you take the Steps to Knowledge it changes your relationship with everything because your fundamental relationship with yourself has undergone a great shift .. Here you begin to see that belief is only a substitute for Knowledge and fervent belief is only a worse substitute for Knowledge. This gives you the power of simplicity. You are the same person in all situations you are the same person with all other individuals you remain strong discerning and true no matter where you are no matter what is going on around you. Here instead of your social conditioning and the weakness of your beliefs you have the power of Knowledge to guide you and to help you determine who to be with and who not to be with, what to do and what not to do, where to go and where not to go, what to give yourself to and what not to give yourself to. This is the power of simplicity…. and anyone who has this power radiates this power and demonstrates this power and…
rayhobbs_Colorado:  … has opened themselves to a greater experience of satisfaction and direction in life. (Simplicity)
Betty_uk:  Thank you Marshall, @MVS Society: “Always know where your mind is going.” A directive given to me in my long years of preparation.
Jennie_Netherlands:  @MVS, “Always now where your mind is going.” give a direction to “being aware what you are thinking and where it comes from”. Being aware give you the opportunity to change that if that is necessary.
rayhobbs_Colorado:  Here you still have conflicts in your surface mind you still feel discomfort and anxiety and have fearful and even destructive thoughts but now the power and influence of these impulses and thoughts have far less control over you, you see them as mere turbulence at the surface you are now swimming in the deep ocean beneath the turbulent and ever changing surface you are now experiencing the great currents that are carrying the water of the world in a huge and powerful conveyor governed by greater cosmic forces.
Gina_Boulder:  @Jeanine and Carol, I also found impact in the invitation of the “knowing aspect” that involves “a deeper resonance and self-inquiry” I think and imagine doing this work when more chaos and confusion abound. It can be difficult now to really stay with something that was seen, not negate it if it is uncomfortable, not come to premature conclusions and give it definition, and not let it slip off the radar. But, hold it and feel it and keep looking. I have to reaffirm to myself, “Yes! I really want to know!” This act of deeper inquiry confirms relationship with Knowledge and strengthens a much needed muscle.
Inhee_Korea:  Thank you Marshall for your demonstration.
Jorge_Spain:  “Here you are governing the mind instead of being governed by it. Here you are directing your emotions instead of being directed by them.” (Seeing, Knowing and Taking Action)
Kristina_Boulder:  Adaptation is humanities strength and weakness as we as humans can adapt to many things that are not healthy for us. I think Intervention is one of them, currently we are used to the mental environment that has been altered by others and can not even see this. This is a negative side of adaptation. Also, when media pushes things on us that are not natural and keeps presenting them as “a norm”, then gradually we stop resisting it and look at it as it has always been that way. On the other hand adapting to a new world can be our strength as we would need to let go of past comfort and ideas of how things should be.
shane_NZ:  “there are many voices within you, but only one is true.” I love that short sentence, so simple yet powerful. Always brings me back to the question of what voice am I listening to.
Alisa_Russia:  @MVS “”Always know where your mind is going.” Very sane advice and something I wish to always keep uppermost in my mind.
Jim B. Upstate NY:  Thank you MVS! When you said “Every moment of not paying attention is reckless” it has been with me ever since. Thank you!
rayhobbs_Colorado:  If you can consider these things you will see the power and the simplicity of Knowledge, it is without confusion and conflict, and that is why it is so unlike your surface mind. It is without deception and condemnation of others that is why it is different from your surface mind. It is not afraid of the world, and what might happen, and that is how it is different from your surface mind. (Simplicity)
jeanine_Society:  @Gina – also helpful. Thank you!
Ayesha_Society:  @Rudy, “You must use them and learn to use them wisely”. The New Message states that there is Knowledge and then there is wisdom. Wisdom is the learning curve in how to use the tools. I have found that when I have known something in the past, the “action” would sometimes lead to error, because I did not have the learning or wisdom behind it. So the wisdom part has been essential. There is knowing, but there is also timing, there is also readiness….
Carol_Society:  @Oh, yes Betty: ‘Then questioned have I had these demonstration in my life, and how did I respond?’ This reminds me of the important practice of looking back on your life at the times you had an experience of Knowing and what the results were of folliwing what you knew, or not following what you knew. It is so important to capture those experiences as part of the criteria for assessing what you are seeing or feeling.
Ilhun_Korea:  Yes, MVS. “Always know where your mind is going.”
Lingling_China:  yes, so important reminder, Marshall. it sounds like taking care of a several years old child, the parents always need to pay attention to see where she/he is going.
jeanine_Society:  Now let’s pose the second question of this Chat:
jeanine_Society:  Are there any recommendations in ‘RECOMMENDATIONS FOR LIVING IN A GREAT WAVES WORLD’ that you feel you could begin to move with?
Ken_Oklahoma:  I listened to the “Art of Seeing” yesterday and was struck by the idea that the most practical think that each of us can learn is “seeing”. I was reminded about the need to practice seeing, hearing and knowing in quiet places, so I can eventually practice it in noises places out in the world.
Maria_Boulder:  @ Reed- I am MOVED (wink) to give a standing ovation for your clear articulation: ” A very important resource for understanding this is the chapter on Forgiveness from the Wisdom books. To let go of judgement is to begin to lets this construct break…
Maria_Boulder:  … up, and ultimately to step outside the personal mind.”(9:20AM Thank you!
Ilhun_Korea:  Yes, Jim B. “Every moment of not paying attention is reckless”
Dariel_Boulder:  I was struck by this passage: “There are other people in your life who are looking to you also, to see what you can teach them. It is your demonstration born of Knowledge, born of wisdom, born of seeing, knowing and acting that will be the inspiration that you give to others, and this inspiration will be immensely important.” How I free myself to follow KN now will be so important to others as they look to see who can lead in these times ahead.
Gina_Boulder:  @Shane, yes indeed. My recent Steps were “Beyond my Mind is Knowledge”and “Today I Want to Hear the Truth” Very powerful instructions on listening for and feeling the truth arising within myself! Which Voice is the Voice of Knowledge? So important…
Jim B. Upstate NY:  @rayhobbs thank sharing that @ 11:30am
Adria_Poland:  @James, thank you so much for pointing out two sides of our ability to adapt. To discern everything we do out of habit requires tremendous self-honesty and as much courage when breaking the patter, acting with integrity. Definitely requires awareness on a moment-to-moment basis. There is a quote in the NM that we are so much accustomed to feeling fear and anxiety, that we think it is a natural state. I can feel I have this fear – of defying the order of things in my life. Yet I also have glimpses of great clarity, relief and confidence. I remember in my weak moments about those.
Alisa_Russia:  @Ken I have been listening to that revelation too and it made a big impact on me in the same way as you mentioned.
rayhobbs_Colorado:  YOUR PRACTICE IS YOUR GIFT TO GOD, for God wills that you receive Knowledge so that you may give it to the world. Thus, you are honored as the recipient and as the vehicle for Knowledge, God is honored as the source of Knowledge, and all who receive it will be honored as well. This is your gift now—to undertake the true preparation that you are involved in currently.
THEREFORE, TREAT EACH PRACTICE PERIOD TODAY as a form of giving. Upon the hour, give yourself in each circumstance in which you find yourself. In your two deep meditation practices, give yourself completely. Do not come begging for ideas or information, but come to receive and come to give. As you give yourself, you will receive and in this you will learn the ancient law that to give is to receive. This must be born completely in your experience so that you may fully comprehend its meaning and its application in the world.
YOUR PRACTICE IS YOUR GIFT TO GOD. Your practice is your gift to yourself. Come to your practice…
rayhobbs_Colorado:  … today to give, for in your giving you will realize the depth of your own resources. (Step 148)
Patricia_Society:  @Ray@Manuel@Reed@Darlene -“know as you go” and having to act without full Knowledge and confirmation – There is both the feeling of security and insecurity in moving ahead now, as we are not able to fully account for all factors that are in motion in the circumstances we are navigating…..Therefore, the references to the need for “wise action” in the Revelations….bringing objectivity and some process of evaluation and assessment regarding what you are experiencing at any given time, what you are observing in others. Therefore, attempting to See and Know a situation, a person or circumstance for what they are……And then move with that Knowledge in hand(not all Knowledge, but some Knowledge)…..and have this level of self and situational awareness to guide our next step, and the step after that……Step by step….but above all, we must keep moving…..in the direction and fulfillment of our service here….
Martin_Australia:  @McGregor, I lived in Bondi for many years.
Shrimayi Netherlands:  @Yes Betty and Frederick it is the confirmation afterwards and the building of certainty and strenght.
Lin_Boulder:  @Rudy, let’s also remember and have faith in the greater coordination.”The Creator of all life loves humanity and has given humanity the power and the presence of Knowledge and has given humanity an Angelic Presence to oversee the world and to provide guidance and counsel to those who are beginning to respond to the presence of Knowledge within themselves.”
MaryS_Boulder:  The passages from the teaching on Healing Relationships have been helpful in releasing judgment–what it says about seeing people in the context of their own upbringing, and seeing that my reactions to others are going to be on account of how they remind me of something unresolved in myself. This undoes a lot of frail attempts at forgiveness that never quite get it right.
Jeanne_Boulder:  Letting go of Judgment does make all the difference.
MaryS_Boulder:  Passages quoted on last week’s chat, I meant ^^
Tonia_Denmark:  Thank you Marshall.
rayhobbs_Colorado:  Here you see, you are going from complexity to simplicity from confusion to certainty from abstraction to reality. Here you are not trying to use Knowledge for a resource for your mind but you are giving your mind as a resource, … for Knowledge. (Simplicity)
LaRaeUK:  I found that powerful as well MaryS in helping me to heal those relationships in life that have been most difficult or painful.
rayhobbs_Colorado:  MaryS Boulder Here you can see that if your family life was unhappy, it propelled you out. It made you think for yourself. It required a certain kind of independence. It launched you. Unable to stay where you were, you were forced to move your life in a different direction, hopefully a good direction guided by Knowledge. (Healing Relationships)
Lynn, CO:  @Jordan, I see astrology as the inside of an old clock with all the gears of different sizes working together. As the gears move so does our present and future life. However, we must discern with Knowledge how we move with that flow.
Maureen_Boulder:  Sometimes our minds are like wild horses. We think we are the horse when we really need to be the rider.
Alisa_Russia:  I have had the experience for the past two weeks of sitting with a decision and seeing how it pans out. I cannot deny that it has all fallen together perfectly. I even tried considering not going with this decision to see how it would feel. This practice helped me to realize that I must go through with it, but still I am checking and rechecking to make sure I have all my ducks in a row.
MVS Society:  Alio, most references to conspiracies contain both true and illusion, real news and false news. It takes great care and discernment and patience to see through all this. If it is your true purpose in life to do this, then you must build the foundation in Knowledge and not fear and belief to proceed, living with questions you cannot yet answer. If this is not your true purpose in life, then let Knowledge move you where it wants you to go. This means no more side journeys.
MaryS_Boulder:  Step 308, Review, has a key to strength and weakness, and choo-choo choosing: “You who have been partial with life in the past are now realizing that life is completely with you and will require that you be completely with it. This is your salvation and your redemption, for here all separation, fear and misery are dispelled. What can you possibly lose to receive such a gift? You lose only your imagination, which has haunted you, threatened you and frightened you. Yet, even your imagination will be given a greater purpose with Knowledge.”
Gina_Boulder:  @Lin as you mention the Greater Coordination, I realize it is something I bring my signs and knowings to. I may see and know something but ultimately, I must move with the direction of a greater coordination. So the Mystery has a seat right next to me as I practice my inquiry…this also seems like an antidote to self-righteousness and tendencies toward impatience.
Cameron_Canada:  @Mary – I was looking for the Healing Relationships the other day – where is it please?
Russell_Sask:  @Alisa “When you get all your ducks in a row, they will call you a Quack”
rayhobbs_Colorado:  You will honor your parents when you see they gave you what they could give you to the best of their ability and whatever happened, it gave you an opportunity to develop your own strength, your own courage and your own self-determination. Perhaps your parents were very loving, and they encouraged this in you, and you were the beneficiary of their guidance and support. Perhaps your parents had no idea and no respect for the deeper movement of your life, and their rejection of this forced you to become self-determined. In either case, you were given the freedom to move with Knowledge. Everyone’s life situation is unique to a certain degree, but fundamentally everyone in the world was sent for a greater purpose, and anyone who is beginning to discover that for themselves must re-evaluate their past to free up their emotions, to release their condemnation and to restore humanity to all the people who influenced them. This is necessary, or you will be too disabled emotionally and…
rayhobbs_Colorado:  … psychologically to undertake a greater purpose in life. Your feelings will be bound to the past. Your judgments will shut you down. Your mind will be dark, full of condemnation and distrust.
Lingling_China:  @James, about the daption , it reminds me of the experiment of water boils frog. put a live frog in cold water then heat the water untill it is boiled. the frog died in the end. because adapting something, so it will be difficult to feel or decern it from a bigger point view or objectively. so I feel it is important to be present in a situation and in the sametime can freely jump out to oberserve it.
Jason Poconos:  Welcome welcome McGregor Thailand!!!
Joyanne_Canada:  @Jeanine, yes there is movement that has come to my attention that I must explore to see if it is the right next step to take. to finish my preparation physically so that my attention is focused elsewhere ..one of the last steps in following the recommendation. Removing this from my plate so to speak allows me to concentrate on the inner prep, for the outer has been attended to. I feel in a better position on the outer work because I have over time attended that aspect of our preparation. It is freeing in a way because it won’t take my attention away from what I truly must do..Build my inner ark
rayhobbs_Colorado:  Fundamentally, Knowledge within you will set you right with everyone in your life and will show you the value of all of your relationships in enabling you to discover and to value a greater purpose in life and to build the foundation of wisdom that you must have to experience and to express this purpose correctly. When you begin to experience forgiveness at this level, your whole demeanor will change. Instead of feeling restraint and inability within yourself, you will feel open and powerful. Creativity will return to you. You will be able to see other people clearly and compassionately for who they are and for where they are. They will no longer simply be symbolic of someone else, a reminder of someone else. You will be able to see them clearly as they are, without condemnation. (Healing Relationships)
Sarita_Mtl:  There are 2 recommendations that I am beginning to move with. “Consider where you live in light of the Great Waves of change.” This has been on my mind for awhile. With the risk of Volcanoes errupting, floods, earthquakes and such… it’s important to try to find a safer place to live. I think this goes hand in hand with “Own fewer things” so that you’re able to make that move if necessary. To have that freedom to follow Knowledge and the ability to move on a whim if needed is quite important. Building your ark is crucial.
Patricia_Society:  @James Boulder – Neuro pathways of our minds……The Self Knowledge work must occur parallel to the Knowledge work, so that our “personalities”, i.e., the cacophony of unconscious ways in which we developed in this life, may not be such a well of mystery and haphazardness…..”“Observe yourself. See what your mind tells you. Listen to the different voices within you…What are the ways that you undermine your certainty and invalidate your own experience? ….what do you use to betray yourself and your experience? You must know this. You must know both your strengths and your weaknesses. You must know your tendencies regarding seeing, knowing and acting.”
James_Boulder:  @Lingling very applicable analogy!
Kristina_Boulder:  @Jeanine, something that I have been mentioning and is still true for me is conservation of energy. I’m trying to have the right priorities in a day, to do the necessary work in all 4 pillars (at least thats the goal). So I ask myself what must I do in a day? And usually that involves doing the same things over and over, like NM practice, NM work, regular job, working out, feeding myself, going for walks, reading NM books and ext. I still have impulses to do unnecessary things and at times it jeopardizes my day, but I’m trying to do things from my “must list” on a daily basis.
Alisa_Russia:  @Russel – LOL!
Alison_Boulder:  @Gina, I will contemplate that. We hold our lives up to the signs and knowings, and hold those up to the Greater Coordination which has the greatest veto or “yes, proceed” power.
jeanine_Society:  I am so grateful for the list of Inner and Outer Recommendations given to us in The Great Waves of Change. Now these are practical things we can focus on, to keep us grounded as the world’s turmoil increases. – I am currently re-working on this Outer recommendation: “Consider learning how to grow some of your own food. You can do this on your own or together with others.”
Aileen_USA:  @Cameron_Canada 2008-09-12 Healing Relationships
Bob USA:  Alio – I find also a drive to look into these conspiracy theories and MVS is right, find what is true and knowledge will let us know what our part is, then act on it.
Dariel_Boulder:  Very good point, Shane. I know this “smokescreen of confusion.”
Maureen_Boulder:  @ Cameron Healing Relationships is a free audio download on the NKL Store along with many other free audios. http://newknowledgelib…free/
Lin_Boulder:  @Gina, yes, this deeper experience in life, not trying to understand, but learn to follow. the understanding may come much later, or may never happen. It is something beyond it.
mellany UK:  Alio, the thing about conspiracy theories is that they can tie the mind up for days, weeks, months….they sometimes fuel “movements” that, although sometimes well intentioned, can assist the very forces that they they are intended to counter …..and they can cloud the lens through which we see individuals and that looks out upon the World. “World Evolution”, Wisdom Vol states that God is conspiring for good, in keeping Knowledge alive in the world. That’s the greatest conspiracy :)) “The man and woman of Knowledge take what life has to offer and utilize it for a greater good. They do not distort life. They do not deny the realities or the different aspects of life. They do not call something that is bad “good” or something that is good “bad”. What is important is how useful it is in serving a greater purpose” GCS
Alisa_Russia:  @Cameron – Don’t know where I found this, but I have a link to it in my Steps blog http://www.newmessage….s.pdf
Cameron_Canada:  @Mary – ahhh! That’s where I saw it – thank you
Amina Russia:  @rayhobbs about “your whole demeanor will change. Instead of feeling restraint and inability within yourself, you will feel open and powerful”….very powerful i think
jeanine_Society:  @Kristina & Sarita – thank you for sharing what you are working on. It is helpful and motivating to others to hear this…
Shrimayi Netherlands:  @yes Maria that we experience Knowledge IN ACTION…when all the considerations, planning, ambivalence, doubt, etc etc goes silent, and we are MOVED (an action) by Knowledge…so it made me consider something like: perhaps if I have had to think about it too much, deliberate, etc…it is a pastime of my mind, and Knowledge is being Silent. Since I am not being moved to act .(5.29) And then @MVS Always know where your mind is going . Is the exercise born of doing the hourly S who are so important.
Jim B. Upstate NY:  @Lin thank you for that quote @ 11:38am The Great Coordination is so powerful and Mysterious! Thank you!!
James_Boulder:  @Patricia- thank you. allow the Mystery for the Knowledge work and uncover the mystery for the self knowledge work.
rayhobbs_Colorado:  Seeing, Knowing & Taking Action: You look at your bank statement, you become aware of the Food Banks in your city, …you become aware of the hours they are open.
Bob USA:  Lin, that is the learning I’ve been doing. Learn to follow the impulse from Knowledge. Discern what is from fear or other desire.
Val_Westport:  ‘Always know where your mind is going’–yes, and also, be aware if it is you, taking it there.
Tyyne_Society:  James and others… Thoughts on adaptation and Knowledge – this is the place to become adapted to, the place of Knowledge – to adapt to a new environment of experience, of seeing, of knowing, of acting. There is an environment of Knowledge that we must learn to enter into and live in as much as we can throughout the day or at intentional periods of the day. Being with Knowledge, adapting to Knowledge, learning how to really live in this world, to prepare for the future enough that we can survive the GW and bring this experience/environment of Knowledge to the forefront. This chapter states, “the benefits you hold onto are so insignificant compared to the requirement placed upon you…” So there are requirements. The preparation. There is adapting to this entirely new reality of the New Message, to get there requires changing, shedding, releasing, entering into what Knowledge is really directing us to do and who to do it with. And what we must do to live in this new reality and allow…
Tyyne_Society:  … this to be our contribution here – through development, through fidelity, through consistency. Knowledge is really the key. So we take the steps to Knowledge – seeing, knowing and acting from this new environment we develop individually and together. A new adaptation to a new way of Being and bringing the honest, firm but loving guidance of the Presence into this troubled world environment. This is quite an environment to adapt to and align with.
Amina Russia:  About Seeing, Knowing and Taking Action: Consider your profession, and ask yourself these important questions: Will my line of work be sustainable in the years ahead given the constraints on energy, food and other resources?
Forgive others. Forgive those who seem to err against you and the world. Ask yourself what genuine need they are attempting to express and fulfill by their behavior. Practicing forgiveness will save your emotional energy and keep your mind clear.
MaryS_Boulder:  Another gem from last week was this about discerning how much we have been influenced–certainly a question that goes with looking at things in their context–“The Intervention’s influence upon the world may be like climate change itself, in that one weather event may not be identifiable as the result of climate change, but overall the trends point clearly to global heating.
Overall, the world we see is being influenced by the Intervention. But trying to know that any one indecent or phenomenon is coming from the Intervention feels like very dangerous thinking.” http://www.newmessage….-2017
jeanine_Society:  @Joyanne – thank you for your wisdom in pointing out how you need to focus on ‘..building my inner ark…’ in your life – applicable to some of us here at least: “allows me to concentrate on the inner prep, for the outer has been attended to. I feel in a better position on the outer work because I have over time attended that aspect of our preparation. It is freeing in a way because it won’t take my attention away from what I truly must do..Build my inner ark”
Eron_Boulder:  @Alio, Mellany…I also like to consider conspiracies within the context of what Reed mentioned earlier about avoiding becoming “bonded” to these ideas.
Kelvin_Boulder:  @Lingling – A good reminder. My step speak of this – Step 3 “I must be patient in order to proceed.” -” Let not the frantic yearnings of your personal mind govern your understanding…”
Alisa_Russia:  I find immense inspiration in this passage from Preparing for the Great Waves of Change “Preparing for the Great Waves of Change: “So do not look upon the GWC only as a tragedy or as a great danger, but as a calling, as a requirement, a calling and a requirement that can restore and redeem you, that can call forth Knowledge within you and the great gifts that you have come to give, gifts which will be determined by the very circumstances that are emerging now. The GWC will bring great clarity to your life and they will show you both your weakness and your strength.”
Carol_Society:  Recommendations that stood out: 1. “Use caution and discernment when considering the opinions of others and the commentary of experts.” 2. “Have few opinions. Make no opinions about any problem unless you have spent considerable time studying the problem and its many conceived interpretations and solutions. Ask yourself if you are really certain about something or are only guessing.” All related to the great need for discernment and compassion, in these times of increasing political and social punditry, polarization, judgments, fears, complaints. Which led me to consider: In conversations with others regarding Great Waves situations and events, what are my guidelines, what are my ‘rules of engagement’ here? I recall Marshall’s guidance in responding to others: “I don’t have an opinion about that.” “I don’t know enough about that to speak on it.” How well can I follow the wisdom here? It’s such a habit, a knee-jerk reaction to say, “Well, ‘I’ think….”
rayhobbs_Colorado:  It takes great courage to change, even under normal circumstances. One must recognize and accept the truth, trust one’s deeper inclinations and in many cases give up a preferred advantage, relationship or situation. One must face the unknown and entertain new possibilities. This all requires courage. Yet, when change is required on a greater scale—indeed when humanity itself is changing and you are in the center of this—an even greater courage is required. It is built upon trust, recognition, preparation and compassion. You cannot muster this courage up within yourself if you do not have these pillars upon which to stand. Perhaps you do not think of yourself as a courageous person, thinking that courage is something that some are endowed with and not others. But in truth, courage is something that everyone must forge and develop in his or her own experience. This happens through making difficult decisions. This also happens through making important mistakes, learning through these…
rayhobbs_Colorado:  … mistakes and taking the necessary steps to set things right. This is what generates courage. (WGC2.19 Courage)
Kristina_Boulder:  @Amina, forgiveness is a big one. This can not only preoccupy our mind and drain our energy, but also contribute to health problems. (Talking based on my personal experience)
Alisa_Russia:  @Carol – thank you for this. I am also reminding myself these days that I don’t really know, so I can’t voice my opinon on it. I am watching and seeing what I can discern.
LaRaeUK:  Yes Carol…and ingrained knee-jerk reaction. Thank you for the reminder….I must pay much closer attention to this in future.
Lingling_China:  @Tyyne, thank you!
carolyn_ct:  @James, I am reminded of another great passage from a different, yet inspired mind, “a great failing of humanity is our difficulty in comprehending the exponential curve”. Paraphrased, but collectivly humans tend to wait for disasters to strike before being motivated to change. Because we cannot feel the warming of the planet, does not mean it isn’t happening. With all the factors at play, now add the methane clathrate gun (frozen me than blocks melting), and it’s like we’re hitting the hard upswing in this curve. (Exponential simplified: a curve that increases more as it increases, so “the faster it gets hotter, the faster it gets hotter, faster” P. Wadhams, ice scientist). Methane is 15 to 20 times more powerful a greenhouse gas than co2. It dissipates more readily, but not before intensifying the heat impact. As the ice melts in the Arctic, more dark sea is exposed, meaning that the sea absorbe more heat rather than reflecting it back to space. These are just a few of the factors…
carolyn_ct:  … adding to the impact of GW.
Amina Russia:  @Kristina, i am working on this right now, i have started feeling much better
MVS Society:  in most practical decisions in life, understanding should proceed action. Before buying something expensive like a house, I want to have as much information about it as possible. I do not just say to myself, I feel good about this house, I will buy it. The same with starting a relationship. I want to know as much as I can about the other person, their history and tendencies and intentions so that I know what I might be getting into. Knowledge comes out in this process of evaluationis the final determining force. It is in things more mysterious, like great turns in my life that I must follow the Invisible light without understanding.
Lin_Boulder:  @Tyyne, thank you for the insights on how humanity or each individual can use our adaptation for goodness, and for our well-being.
Ayesha_Society:  @Patricia “know as you go” has been a reality that I resonate with. Never a moment of full Knowing, 100% certainty, but just enough to keep going. Action in these case really requires tremendous courage. “See and know a situation/person for what it is” echoes in the background as I navigate the day to day. Perhaps this is what is needed to break the entrenched habit of judgement (As James mentioned earlier) and go somewhere new in our experience of the world and others.
Marilyn_USA:  @Alisa_Russia, I have had a similar experience, to what you described at 11:42 AM. A few months ago, Knowledge told me to do a certain thing. I have been doing it, following through these past few months. It did not make sense to me, but I did it anyway. Now, my work pillar, where my life seemed to be at an impasse, is clearing up. I could not see the future, but now, I can see how many pieces (hopefully) will fall into place.
Russell_Sask:  @Kristina So somehow I have to forgive God for allowing me to come here, when it really was my choice. Even tougher gig than being here.
Joyanne_Canada:  @Carol so true.. over time building patience and the ability to wait has helped me to not run to assumptions or opinions,, instead I focus on I will wait to know.. I remind myself that I must view all from the level or layer of separation that we are all in. Most people are just trying to justify what they believe, I remind myself have no opinions.. but wait, watch and see what I can know.. restraint..
James_Boulder:  @Tyyne- Adapting to the pressure, responsibility, honesty…ect of Knowledge. Yes now that is a good way to use our human skill of adaptation. Thank you.
rayhobbs_Colorado:  Face life and life will face you. Give to life and life will give to you, for you are in relationship with life.
Alisa_Russia:  @MVS – how did you guess? Lol!
Jim B. Upstate NY:  @Tyyne thank you so much for this @11:49!! Deeply felt by me!!
cole_boulder:  @MVS, thank you, that is helpful
Adria_Poland:  @Patricia, thank you so much. “Know thyself”. Such simple, yet powerfull practice, thank you for your detailed guide on screening oneself – learing to Know is to ask questions, and just listen, intently listen without judgement or preference. One of the Steps comes to mind: “To Practice Steps to Knowledge is to cinstantly love oneself”. When I aks those questions and hear nothing, I still need to keep being patient and believe, know, that this greater part of me will emerge eventually… Even if I might be quite far at the moment.
Joyanne_Canada:  thank you Ayesha, very wised, see and know a situation/person for what it is, wisdom to carry with us.
Adria_Poland:  Thank you, Marshall!
LaRaeUK:  Thank you pointing out the differences MVS….most helpful.
Jennie_Netherlands:  @MVS, can you tell more about the invisible light?
rayhobbs_Colorado:  Be a student of Knowledge, for you are certainly not its master. Then courage will grow in you like the seed grows in the ground and like life grows in the world—slowly, deeply and with a firm foundation. Then your experience of courage will grow and change, and your definitions will change as well. But as you meet each new requirement in your life and discern and follow each new certainty, you will not only be able to receive courage, but you will be able to bestow it upon the world. (WGC2.19 Courage)
Alisa_Russia:  @MVS “Before buying something expensive like a house, I want to have as much information about it as possible.” I am at the information-gathering stage
jeanine_Society:  Let us pause for a few moments in silence as the hour strikes again and remember our Messenger and the work he has yet to do, which involves our help. Let us also remember to honor and forgive ourselves, as we do this inner and outer preparation.
Jeanne_Boulder:  This is a big one for me What impacted me was “Every act of courage and integrity requires overcoming something, releasing something and escaping something.”(9:16AM)
jeanine_Society:  “If you don’t forgive yourself, you lose self-trust which you will need to rely upon increasingly in the future. You build self-trust most powerfully by following Knowledge within you.” – Recommendations from living in a Great Waves World
Jim B. Upstate NY:  Thank you MVS for what you have said @ 11:53am
Alexandra-NL:  Thank you Patricia for outlining “Observe yourself. See what your mind tells you. Listen to the different voices within you…What are the ways that you undermine your certainty and invalidate your own experience? ….what do you use to betray yourself and your experience? You must know this. You must know both your strengths and your weaknesses. You must know your tendencies regarding seeing, knowing and acting.” I have found studying the New Medicine a good tool in observing my personal self, since what our bodies express (symptoms and diseases) can be traced back to our image of our self and life based to a large extent on traumatic experiences we´ve lived. In other words, our bodies do not manifest “diseases” at random. We can learn to read what it is telling us about our relationship with our mind and life in general.
Cameron_Canada:  …or building a house, I suppose
Jorge_Spain:  @MVS (5:42), thank you for expanding here. My concern here as I see it, is that often, as in recent Syrian events, standard news contain (too) both true and illusion, both real news and false news, and well-intended people react to them, and often take them at face value, and often take decisions based on them, and so forth.
Amina Russia:  I am at the information-gathering stage- I like that, @Alisa,,,so we are doing our part before asking Knowledge
MaryL_Boulder:  Thank you Marshall shedding clarity upon the confusing levels between following and leading…where and when to exert own authority and when to submit to a greater authority…
Jeanne_Boulder:  Forgiveness is a big one. This can not only preoccupy our mind and drain our energy, but also contribute to health problems
Jim B. Upstate NY:  @ Patricia had to re-read some of the things you have said they are that deep for me! Thank you as always!!

Carol_Society:  REMINDERS & ANNOUNCEMENT::

The 24th ANNIVERSARY OF THE SOCIETY will occur this Sunday, April 9. On this day in 1993, The Society for the New Message was established in the US as an independent religious non-profit organization whose mission is to assist the Messenger in bringing the New Message from God into the world.

CAMPFIRE CHAT TRANSCRIPTS can be found here: http://www.newmessage….ripts
Today’s Chat transcript will be posted at the of our discussion.

THE STEPS VIGIL, May 26 – June 14, 2017.
The Steps Vigil is a worldwide commemorative broadcast event honoring the 20-day period in which Steps to Knowledge was received by the Messenger in 1989.
For more information: https://www.newmessage…vents

Lingling_China:  @Tyne, ‘adapting to this entirely new reality of the New Message’ so true, it is such a new new journey and life to adapt to. Everyting. It takes a lot to adapt to it and adapting to it give back a lot more!
Kristina_Boulder:  About the decision making. Lately I have experience that patience is very important when it comes to making decisions. I’ve learned that even if something looks good to my mind and I really want it, if I’m patient enough a lot of times Knowledge will bring some kind of corrections to that, it might be a time when I need to do it or changing the decision all together. The one thing I’ve learned to pay attention to is feeling of discomfort, if I want to do something, but I have a slight feeling of discomfort regarding that, then I give it more time and usually things develop certain way that my waiting really benefited me at the end.
Serena_Montreal:  @ MVS, thank you. A quote that my father always used to say, “Trust in God- but tie your camel first.”
Alison_Boulder:  @Amen Jeanne you are right
Insuk_Korea:  Thank you Marshall for “understanding should proceed action.”
Tom_SanFrancisco:  Carol, is there an encampment this year?
Amina Russia:  @Kristina,,resonates,,in my past i remember ignoring this feeling of discomfort and then making a mistake
Carol_Society:  @ TOM: The next Encampment will be in 2018. Thanks for asking, Tom.
Ayesha_Society:  @MVS, the importance of decision making. Thank you for this important reminder. Mystery is certainly a very important component, but I’ve learned especially from you that the good use of the mind in decision making is often necessary. It has been a relief to me that things are not always based upon “feelings” and there is an element of reality involved. “Seeing a situation/person/circumstance for what it is…”
Shawn_Moose Jaw:  @Kristina…resonating with what you said.
Shrimayi Netherlands:  @Jeanine The more save and secure you become the more vulnerable you are GCS chapter 6. Understanding this ,I know there will be a moment I have to leave my place living below sealevel. So pack my house full of supply is not wise. What I will do is make a backpack with some food and a filter to make clean water. And I make sure I have some money that I am saving.
My preparation mostly will be the practise of stillness and inner listening.Doing the steps.
Learning about natural healing is also were I am focusing on.
What the future will bring is a mystery to me I can only do the step that lays ahead of me.
rayhobbs_Colorado:  Your spiritual work must fundamentally deal with the issue of resolution and forgiveness, which requires that you gain an understanding of the reality of those people whom you blame or with whom you have contention and to recognize the importance of these relationships in giving you wisdom and helping to teach you something of real value that you can use throughout the course of your life. True discernment in life is based upon the recognition of error and gaining value from error so as not to repeat your former mistakes. It is fundamentally a process of recognizing what is valuable and distinguishing that from what is not valuable, what is real from what is unreal, what is true from what is untrue. But you must do this compassionately if it is to serve you. To be a harsh critic of yourself and other people means that you have not really gained the value of your relationships. You have not really gained the wisdom that you need. You are still operating from a position of being wounded…
rayhobbs_Colorado:  … and resentful. (Healing Relationships)
Cameron_Canada:  Thank you everyone. I should go see if all my students are still alive. These trips can be fun but it is also a bit like herding kittens. I will read the rest later. Be well everyone.
Reed_Society:  @James, @Patricia, @Kristina @Robert, this topic of inappropriate adaptation, and of appropriate daily practice application — I’ve been finding it a rather brutal truth that what we do, begets more of that kind of doing, what we think begets more of those kind of thoughts, the moods we entertain begets the recurrence of that mood. Here the brain is fundamentally a learning vehicle, it is habit and association forming vehicle of experience and community and this we cannot change. So what habits and associations do we reinforce every day? In light of this, there really is no benign or neutral activity, something we can do that really has no affect on our larger experience. MVS: “Every moment of not paying attention is reckless” also MVS said recently, to paraphrase: the way you gain freedom from habits is to engage in activities that form new ones. It feels very important to respect this platform for participation in the world: the human brain and physiology, to respect how it is works…
Reed_Society:  … and to begin to understand how to direct its formation and reformation on a daily/weekly/yearly basis and fundamentally allow Knowledge to direct this re-formation process, instead being subtly re-formed simply through unconscious behavior or thought or by larger influences in the world.
Reed_Society:  “experience and communication” not community
Joyanne_Canada:  @Shrimayi, we can’t take it all with us.. but having a backpack and a few necessities, is a good preparation.
Alisa_Russia:  @Kristina – so true, patience is very important. I waited to see if what I had planned was actually feasible, and it turned out it was.
manuel_:)_Germany:  How do we overcome the fear of rejection of our family, friends, colleagues etc. when we are going another way, when we are thinking other “things”, when we are learning something which has never been taught on earth, like the gift “Greater Community Spirituality”? This is very difficult, because we are social beings, conditioned to function in a society where it is supposed to play a role which society or family or friends have assigned us. What helped me on my journey was to believe in me (which is Knowledge) to respect me and to LOVE me a 100%. To not condemn or judge me when I was wrong…
justin -calif-!:  I have to run, gang- will be giving out NM info at an event at the Cow Palace in South SF today- stay safe, all- NNC, j
Mike_LF_CAL:  @mellany UK, (8:47 AM PT), thanks for that quote, I needed that, “World Evolution”, Wisdom Vol states that God is conspiring for good, in keeping Knowledge alive in the world. That’s the greatest conspiracy :)) “
Virgie_near Seattle:  @Shrimayi Netherlands: Wow. Thank you for sharing!
jeanine_Society:  How to report New Message errors/typos and get help: newmessage.org/help
rayhobbs_Colorado:  The New Message teaching on relationships and higher purpose will require that you complete and that you forgive your former life so that you are free and powerful enough to take a greater journey. There is no escaping this work. There is no bypassing this work. There is no running away from your past. There is no hiding or denying or rejecting something that is real within yourself. Everything must come out into the open to be reconsidered and re-evaluated. You must be free to express grief, disappointment, anger. You must have this emotional freedom, or you are like a person who is held in chains, chained to a wall. (Healing Relationships)
Robert_Society:  @Reed – Thank you. Very well summed up.
Ilhun_Korea:  Congratulations on “The 24th ANNIVERSARY OF THE SOCIETY”.
MVS Society:  Self-Knowledge begins with paying attention to your experience and your interactions with people, circumstances, change, disappointment, truth—everything. If you are fully paying attention, you are listening.
Lin_Boulder:  Thank you MVS for the teaching.
rayhobbs_Colorado:  To gain a new life, you must have peace with your former life. You must see its advantages and its disadvantages and gain wisdom from both. You must look compassionately at the conditions of people who influenced you and recognize that were you in their place, perhaps you would not have done any better. This restores their humanity to you. Now you can gain value from their strengths and their weaknesses, from their accomplishments and from their errors. You can respect them. You can honor them for their effort in trying to do the right thing even if they themselves were handicapped by their own internal state and by their circumstances in life. Here you will see that everything that has happened to you is material to develop wisdom. (Healing Relationships)
Joyanne_Canada:  thank you Kristina, on your insights on decision making, I too find that waiting for more incremental steps or movement from knowledge, in the direction I think I must move, helpful. This waiting this patience to wait to know, to feel deepens our reliance on trusting Knowledge,
Kristina:  Thank you Marshall (11:53)just what i needed to hear.
Jeanne_Boulder:  Nasi Novare Coram:*)
Dariel_Boulder:  Thank you for the reminder of the importance of ‘seeing’, Ken.
Robert_Society:  Thank you everyone. Nasi Novare Coram
Hardev_Australia:  @MVS, “If you are fully paying attention, you are listening.” I find this to be so true.
Shrimayi Netherlands:  @Larae Thank you I only can answer with emoticons on the private chat.I will remember.
Susan_Malaysia:  Thank you, MVS, Reed, Patricia, the Society and everyone , NNC
cole_boulder:  @ Reed, thanks for articulating this: “Here the brain is fundamentally a learning vehicle, it is habit and association forming vehicle of experience and communication.” This has come up for me in depth this week. My step from the other day speaks to this, which I found to be very direct and clarifying regarding the nature of the mind and our relationship to it: “..the mind is fixed in a certain structure until it is utilized for other purposes. Do not accept this structure as your reality, for the outward manifestation of your mind is a structure that you have imposed upon it.” – Step 127
Lingling_China:  Yes, Marshall. so true. ‘If you are fully paying attention, you are listening.(12:08AM)’
MaryL_Boulder:  As difficult as it is to truly receive the Great Waves, to do what must be done the last words in this chapter touched me…”These are the great times in which you live. They call for the greatness that you have brought into the world from your Ancient Home—a power and a presence which you must now experience for yourself.” This may be a great disaster in the unfolding but these are “great times” and we have the “greatness” with us.
Eron_Boulder:  Blessings to each of you, students of the New Message from God in the World Wide Community. Nasi Novare Coram.
Youngkyo_Korea:  Thank you Marshall for “Always know where your mind is going.”and “understanding should proceed action.” Thank you everyone. Nasi Novare Coram
Joe_UK:  Thank you Reed. One way I have been practicing directing the re-formation of my mind is with respect to my diet. Rather than succumbing to my every whim of hunger, I am now practicing to have longer periods between meals, with no snacks or junk food (well at least for most days ). Together with daily physical exercise, I’m feeling healthier and stronger for it, mentally as well as physically.
jeanine_Society:  Powerful Chat today – thank you everyone for contributing and all for holding this space in our virtual tent of the New Message. Nasi Novare Coram.
Ayesha_Society:  @Reed, “the way you gain freedom from habits is to engage in activities that form new ones.” As NM states , we are always practicing something, never are we not practicing. So the question always come to what will you choose to practice…what do you choose to think about, what do you choose to spend your energy on. This requires such a conscious approach!
Alisa_Russia:  @MaryL – yes, this passage touches me as well, thank you for posting it.
Russell_Sask:  This the first time in a while that I exceeded my 1 hour limit. The gathering is great the sharing important, at the same time though the world calls for interaction in person. Be well my fellow students until we gather again. Tis an Honour to share the Climb together.
Lingling_China:  @Reed, thanks for your words. ‘ It feels very important to respect this platform for participation in the world: the human brain and physiology, to respect how it is works…allow Knowledge to direct this re-formation process, instead being subtly re-formed simply through unconscious behavior or thought or by larger influences in the world.’
rayhobbs_Colorado:  Instead of going through life as a wounded child, you are now using everything that happens to teach you the value of Knowledge, to generate a commitment to following Knowledge within yourself and to show you the importance of inner freedom and the value of forgiveness as it must truly be experienced., … Here forgiveness becomes the means by which other people’s lives can teach you something of value and can encourage you to have the strength and the commitment and the wisdom to choose and to accept the gift of a greater purpose in life. (Healing Relationships) Nasi Novare Coram
Adria_Poland:  Thank you all so much for you sharing and for this environment of Knowledge and real resonance. Thank you Society, and thank you Marshall for your teachings and for being. Nasi Novare Coram
Patricia_Society:  @Alio – Allo, regarding the idea and reality of conspiracy, this kind of human activity and tendency has probably existed in culture from the beginning….and this kind of human activity abounds in culture today…the question to possibly ask ourselves as we encounter what appears to be a conspiracy, “Is my life taking me in the direction of exploring this conspiring activity? Is this mine to do?…..? Is this an interest of mine, a curiosity, a personal need to know….or does this exploration have greater purpose for me….?
Kristina_Boulder:  @Reed, I’ve heard recently, that meditation is not only the absence of thoughts, but can also be an active meditation about something, which thats what we are learning to do in STK practice, especially in SCT. So, a lot of times when we let our mind run wild and go places that it wants to go, we also meditate=reinforce certain things, thoughts, moods and ext. I often catch myself thinking about stuff and then ask is that’s a side journey my mind wants me to take? And is that really something I need to put my energy into, given the fact that I already need to do many things that I’m not even doing at the moment. To be honest its a constant struggle and I do spend/waste some time on that every day.
Alisa_Russia:  I am so grateful for the wisdom and inspiration shared today around the campfire. Thank you all! Nasi Novare Coram.
Alison_Boulder:  Advocacy Gatherings for the New Message meet Thursdays at Uberconference.com/NewMessage at 7pm BST and 6:30pm MDT. It is a place for Students of the New Message who wish to advocate in unity with the Society and expand their relationship to this Revelation and world in a very direct way – planting seeds, rolling out corridors of the New Message before thousands, putting it in view, holding up signs. May we share this out to the open hearts waiting.
Here is a video coordinated by the Society that you can begin to engage with on the New Message Facebook page- commenting, sharing, liking: https://www.facebook.c…27236
Jangsun_Korea:  Thank you everyone. Nasi Novare Coram.
Tyyne_Society:  So true Reed – respecting the importance of the physiology/brain and to “allow Knowledge to direct this re-formation process”. Thank you. And thank you to Jeanine and Carol for hosting this chat. Thank you all. Grateful for your engagement here and out there.
Selma London:  “You must become connected to Knowledge, take the Steps to Knowledge, experience its reality, its potency and develop the skills of patience and perseverance that will be necessary for you to journey into regions of life and experience that are not part of your concepts or current understanding.”
From <http://www.newmessage….stiny>
Sarita_Mtl:  Thank you all! NNC
Darlene_Society:  Thank you everyone for taking this journey with the Messenger and all of us. The greater goodness is alive in the world. Nasi Novare Coram
Selma London:  Thanks for making the correction to British Summer Time, Alison
Joyanne_Canada:  Thank you Marshall Vian Summers, Thank you for being the Messenger, for blazing the trail up this mountain, for the gift you have given and serve in our world, and in the Greater Coordination. Your demonstration humbles me so much that a profound deep gratitude fills me for You, your family, the Society and all who have responded to this amazing Message. This deep humility keeps me grounded, it is so comforting to feel this profound gratitude, for it keeps my attention on where it needs to be and shows me I too am a small part of this Greater Coordination, and that I must make this journey and follow the trail and the demonstration that you are giving us all. I pray that we will all who have responded will have the determination, the courage, wisdom and strength to fulfill our Mission here at this time. Nasi Novare Coram,
MVS Society:  Being receptive and following Knowledge is part of the map. Having a keen mind objectively discerning yourself and all the forces around you is another part of the map. Knowing what you feel and feeling what you know is another part of the map. There are more parts to this map. You need to know of them and be using them all to have the complete picture and make real progress. That is why there are many “Steps” in the preparation.
Maria_Boulder:  @ Marshall- this fully paying attention- this listening, allows us to quiet or still the mind…I so look forward to that becoming the default, the habit …the environment I have adapted to!
LaRaeUK:  Thank you MVS, Reed and all for your insights and wisdom. Much gratitude.
manuel_:)_Germany:  Many thanks to you all your wisdom and insights… today I take the “fire” with me… Nasi Novare Coram
Selma London:  “You have very little time to prepare for all these things, for they are in motion, and you cannot stop them. You cannot stop having to enter into a new world. You cannot stop your emergence into a Greater Community of life in the universe. The Intervention is already underway in the world by clever races who are here to take advantage of human ignorance and human expectations.” Destiny
Jim B. Upstate NY:  @Joyanne Amen to what you have said! And Thank you for expressing it to us all!
Ayesha_Society:  Thank you for your prayer Joyanne. I think of you all in many places in the world, holding true to the NM and learning to embody what is being given through the NM. Thank you all for participating today, well of inspiration. NNC
Selma London:  “So one must be willing to look, to really look at something, to really look at the Great Waves of change—to read about them, to investigate them, to see what they are, to learn more about the Great Waves and how they are affecting people in the world today and their potential for altering the course of human history. What are the implications? People have studied this. Intelligent people have looked at this and are warning others. What is the meaning of this? What are its implications? How could it alter your life and the lives of other people?” Seeing, Knowing and Taking Action
Richmond_UK:  Thank you Marshall, the Society and for everyone making this chat possible today. Nasi Novare Coram.
Jim B. Upstate NY:  Step 170 speaks to what you have expressed Joyanne.
Serena_NM:  Thank you everyone!
Virgie_near Seattle:  Thank you, thank you, thank you, everyone, for sharing. Especially Marshall. Thank you. This has been a powerful time of learning for me. Thank you.
Carol_Society:  To all: so much honesty, wisdom, inspiration expressed here today. May we find some time during the week to revisit this engagement in the Chat transcript, perhaps if only to pull out just 1 or 2 things that really resonated to continue to be with. Deep gratitude to everyone. Nasi Novare Coram
Jansett_Boulder:  @MaryL, thank you for sharing this important teaching (10:12 MDT). It can be a mind-shattering experience once we come to the realization it’s not all about us (and about what we can “get” from life). It can be an equally awe-filled realization that it is all about Knowledge within us and our acceptance of the mission to keep Knowledge alive in the world (what we can, no, MUST give).
carolyn_ct:  There is a great deal of mostly practical work for me to do to stabilize my pillars. I am looking forward with some excitement to a time in the not too distant future when this work is done, and I have a strong platform from which to expand out into the world. I send all of you prayers for strength, health, wisdom, love and courage. And deep gratitude especially for those of you who have given over your lives to bring the New Message to the world. May Knowledge continue to guide you and bless you, to bless us all. NNC
MaryL_Boulder:  @Joyanne the profound gratitude for all that has been received and given by the Messenger bonds us. May we have the strength and courage to carry out what is ours. Thank you everyone. NNC
Kelton_Santa CruzCa:  I am Reminded by today’s Chat – that in order to experience the gifts of Grace, Strength , and Power I must exercise and utilize my authority. Thank you all . Nasi Novare Coram
Jim B. Upstate NY:  Thank you to all! It is both an honor and a responsibility to be a part of this! Thank you MVS, Patricia, Reed Society and all the students! We are all supporting one another! For all minds are connected! Nasi Novare Coram
Rose, the Netherlands:  Thank you Marshall and everyone here today. NNC
Reed_Society:  @Cole, thank you, I will be with that passage.
Betty_uk:  Thank you all, I will revisit this chat again, many guidance given here. With gratitude Nasi Novare Coram
Patricia_Society:  @James Adaptation/Maladaptation – Yes, there’s adaptation and being able to “get with” a situation or challenge, and/or going to another level and getting stable there and functional at that new level, and then there is maladaptation…mindless adoption, laziness and “calling it good”, settling out…..Yes, we are adaptable….having Knowledge travel with us is so important…Thank you all for taking on this Knowledge work…in these Great Waves times…
Lingling_China:  thanks Marshall. so profund. about the map.
mellany UK:  Thank you Marshall, Patricia, Reed, The Society and everyone here. Thank you Carol and Jeanine. Nasi Novare Coram.
LaRaeUK:  Beautifully said Jansett…..to me, the most liberating part of the New Message was discovering it wasn’t about me at all……it is about being of service and giving. To be give such an important purpose to fulfill in this life is such a gift.
Tonia_Denmark:  When listening begins, it is like a corridor with many doors that opens up here. At some point about two months ago, a clear voice within said to me: “Tonia, your rear window is mixing with your present window and confuses your future window” – I understood that unburdening is a process of unknown time and felt relief that day.
Joyanne_Canada:  I have realized that these moments of deep humbleness and profound gratitude actually give me a greater strength and determination to follow the demonstration of the Messenger as I climb this mountain. They have become so very precious for me, for it confirms within somehow that I am feeling the movement of Knowledge and inclusiveness within. These are validating and confirming moments. Yes! Yes! Knowledge is with me, I am here, God is with me now. NNC
Lingling_China:  yes Patricia.
Alio:  Good bye all for now in this ……. mmmmm somewhat awkward for me little space. Always with you and appreciate the gifts of your commitment, strength and presence in the more graceful and expansive spaces of our practice together. Love and gratitude, Peace out.
Insuk_Korea:  Thank you Marshall, Patricia,Reed and All. Nasi Novare Coram
shane_NZ:  Thank you Marshall, The Society and all for this powerful chat.
“I am free because I desire to give.” step 310. Nasi Novare Coram
manuel_:)_Germany:  @LaRaeUK 5.25 GMT:……..it is about being of service and giving. To be give such an important purpose to fulfill in this life is such a gift….. that is the bottom line… thank you!!!
MaryS_Boulder:  A couple of gems this week were the words “habit hole” and “damn of ambivalence”
jeanine_Society:  “Love is flowing from me now…I don’t know where and I don’t know how…”🎼
Reed_Society:  @Kristina, yes there is waste, every day for me too, simply easing down on that waste is a next step, using my moments spent at the bathroom mirror, at the stop light, walking down halls, waiting for elevators, standing in lines, gardening and more, just to redirect a few of those moments. Overall the day may be more of a simple mathematical sum than we think: what did I do, what did I think, what influences did I expose myself to, at how many moments was I aware? Add it all up = my end experience from the day. Add up the days = the state of mind I was in for the week. Add up the months = my more deep set condition and state of mind in this chapter of my life. So much experience simply adds up. Small adjustments daily will affect the larger end sum of my life.
Jim B. Upstate NY:  Yes Thanks LaRae for that!
Ilhun_Korea:  Thank you All. Nasi Novare Coram and Mavran Mavran Conay Mavran.
Shrimayi Netherlands:  Thank you Marshall,Patricia ,Reed and the Society and all of you ,I have to read the chat all over again it is going so fast.NNC
MaryL_Boulder:  @MaryS…watch out for those habit holes!
MVS Society:  Yes Jorge, the world is place of longing, confusion and deception. It is the environment in which we must work. That is why the preparation is long, multi-faceted and so complete.
Lin_Boulder:  Thank you Jeanine, that’s the feeling I know.
Mike_LF_CAL:  @Alexandrs-NL, (9:00 AM PT), thanks for sharing that quote on “Observing yourself…”
David_KC:  I am beginning to see this more and more Marshall
Joyanne_Canada:  Thank you Reed.. a wise perspective, add it all up, this practice gives us a good idea of where our mind its, and MVS ‘s comment on paying attention to where our mind is. its like a roadmap to see where our mind has been for the day, week, month. etc
Alison_Boulder:  Building Your Ark, a supplemental audio for this School session, talks about being in a “position of a contributor”. This keeps echoing in my mind so I just want to share that. It is a reason to build and prepare right now.
Adria_Poland:  @Reed, thank you
Jorge_Spain:  Thank you @Marshall, today and always.
Lin_Boulder:  MVS, as the chapter said “The masses of people are living at a very low level of integrity. You cannot allow this for yourself.” It is a difficult place to work. I need to overcome my own mental laziness and indulgence, and learn to build “the keen mind”.
Joyanne_Canada:  @Alison, yes a very good audio, while travelling home the other day I listened to The Determination and Building your Ark, both very strengthening for this Great Wave World.
Jordan_Montreal:  Thank you all, NNC
Lingling_China:  so good to hear that again Lin.
Joyanne_Canada:  One of the Revelations pointed out to me that I must get over my own laziness, that there is work now to be done while we have this window of opportunity to prepare our four Pillars,,,, now I ask what must I attend to at this moment..it seems it goes along with what Reed last posted..
Lingling_China:  thank you all. the most proufund group I can ever join. NNC.
Ilhun_Korea:  @Lin, Thank you for your ongoing outreach.
Dariel_Boulder:  Thank you dear MVS and family and all who engaged here today. NNC
Tyyne_Society:  @ Reed and Kristina – oh, really considering where my mind is going. The work day is more challenging. There are work days, because of the intensity/compression, that at the end of the day I assess this. At home it is much easier to do this work… I so get this, Reed. “…yes there is waste, every day for me too, simply easing down on that waste is a next step, using my moments spent at the bathroom mirror, at the stop light, walking down halls, waiting for elevators, standing in lines, gardening and more, just to redirect a few of those moments. Overall the day may be more of a simple mathematical sum than we think: what did I do, what did I think, what influences did I expose myself to, at how many moments was I aware?”
Joe_UK:  So grateful for this opportunity to be with you all here, thank you for keeping Knowledge alive. NNC
Lin_Boulder:  Thank you Lingling, Ilhun and Korean team. have a good sleep and rest, and keep going!
Lingling_China:  yes, keep going. NNC
Joyanne_Canada:  Until we gather once again, Stay strong in Knowledge. NNC
MaryL_Boulder:  @Lin, Yes, yes my thoughts too that all those years of living without purpose, meaning or having any direction has created a lazy, drifting and prone to a fantasizing mind. Instead of drifting in the sea of life I must take my ship and steer it to its destiny. I must shed the habits of old and learn new ones and the Great Waves are rising fast.
cole_boulder:  @Tyyne, wow, resonating with your comment here, thank you. This gives me some perspective of my days too, as i let the mind gloss over the past week, remembering a few moments that stood out in contrast to the motion and busyness and self-preoccupation. “Overall the day may be more of a simple mathematical sum than we think: what did I do, what did I think, what influences did I expose myself to, at how many moments was I aware?””
MVS Society:  Yes Maria, depending on what you practice for better or worse, practice makes permanent.
jeanine_Society:  MaryL & Lin – as I look back I do see the wasted time, but also see an unconscious preparation – steps that were important to me today. But so much better to prepare consciously…
MVS Society:  Study this Chat throughout the week. Stay with your Steps. Keep your head above the fog of the world.
LaRaeUK:  I’ve found as I spend a great deal of time on the road, making a habit of listening to Revelations so very helpful. Not only on staying focused on the work, but in actual listening and not letting my mind wonder. I do this for hours most days.
Virgie_near Seattle:  Thank you, Marshall.
LaRaeUK:  Merci dear Messenger.
MaryL_Boulder:  @Jeanine, yes I don’t have that kind of motivation to run a marathon or to climb a mountain peak but I admire their motivation, to train consistently and to be so focus on reaching their goal. It is more difficult to live a 4 pillar life and to strive to connect with Knowledge hour by hour but we have the capacity “greatness that you have brought into the world from your Ancient Home” within us.
Bethne_UK:  Thank you all for your sharing here. I look forward to reading the transcript as I’m finding it difficult to keep pace with reading the chat on line.
Reed_Society:  @Tyyne, yes I hear you, it is not easy!
Reed_Society:  Thank you everyone for the chat today
Tonia_Denmark:  Thank you Marshall, be well too.
Hardev_Australia:  Thank you all. NNC
Ilhun_Korea:  Thank you Marshall, Patricia, Reed and the Society and All of you.
Tonia_Denmark:  Be well all. Thank you for a most inspiring chat to study. A new habit to open up for. Nnc
Tyyne_Society:  @Cole – I find that given the pressure of the day there are moments… Did I utilize enough critical thinking in this situation? What did I miss? I was talking to one of the new ICU RN’s who has been working on the floor for about 9 months. I asked him how he was adapting/adjusting to ICU as a new nurse. He mentioned the learning curve, the challenge and stated, “And then there is not knowing what I don’t know.”
Patricia_Society:  @Ilhun@all – yes, tomorrow is the 24th Anniversary of The Society. Gratitude, so much gratitude for all the great work over the many years that the Society and Marshall Vian have done to bring us this far….Thank you all for your studenthood, participation, advocacy and support, as we continue to bring the vast revelation that is a New Message from God….oh God, let us remember God…….
MaryL_Boulder:  Thank you everyone…I hear the lyrics of the Messenger’s song “Love is flowing from me now” and “Everyone is helping me along the way”. Thank you for so much blessings in this hour of connection. NNC
12914:  Happy Anniversary and thank you Marshall and everyone for the inspiration.
Joyanne_Canada:  @LaRaeUK, your so right, it seems to help set the day, the mind is engaged with the Teachings, as we listen. The Voice of Revelation and the Revelations seem to have their own power, to assist our climb up this mountain. Listening to them is addicting, and helps keep my mind from confusion, and from running around like a chicken with its head cut off, caught up in the daily living of navigation this separated state/world.
Joyanne_Canada:  Happy Anniversary to The Society. So very precious to be here with you all.
LaRaeUK:  And we are all so grateful for all the effort that has gone in all these years….Blessings!!
MVS Society:  You thank me best by taking your preparation seriously.
LaRaeUK:  Yes, I find the same Joyanne….
Kristina_Boulder:  @Reed, thank you for this. Yes, accumulative effect, it’s important to remember that even small things here and there add up.
Joyanne_Canada:  @MVS Absolutely, it is our demonstration that will show how thankful we are that we have been found, that we have found you and the path to resolution of our souls within. NNC
Reed_Society:  @Kristina, yes but every week we gather to remind each other and re-inspire each other, when one person is falling down another is rising in their practice and that keeps us all bouyant
David_KC:  Thank you all for doing this work and preparation. Goodbye everyone. Nasi Novare Coram

Great chat, I am glad I managed to go back over this and also to record some productive discussion for future use. Many of the things here are in amazing synchronicity and often I can see people pointing out parts of the ‘map’ that need to be filled or clarified. This allows us all to work together to patch up the various pieces of this network of understanding and relationship.
