1. CONFIDENTIALITY - Most groups respect a practice of discretion and do not repeat elsewhere anything heard within the confines of the group.

2. VIRTUAL MEETINGS - Groups at a distance or with irreconcilable schedules can use on-line forums such as Google Groups.

3. TAKING ON A SERVICE PROJECT - A group might decide to collaborate on an endeavor or a creation for the benefit of the New Message from God. The project might outlive the group itself; members might participate in the project beyond their time of meeting with the group for Step study.

4. SENDING STRENGTH IN THE MENTAL ENVIRONMENT - There is a bond and a commitment shared among the members of a Step study group. It is beneficial to honor that bond by spending some time outside of the group meeting in the practice of sending strength in the mental environment, remembering your fellow members each one at a time in stillness.
