Now we would like to speak about Spiritual Truths. There is much presumption and misunderstanding about very basic things, which makes the direct approach to Knowledge seem more complicated than it needs to be. We speak about the development of Knowledge, relationships and world events in a very direct manner, but people are still very confused because they have assumed that spiritual life, spiritual teachers, spiritual teaching and spiritual ideas must have a certain conformity. Therefore, it is appropriate to talk about Spiritual Truths.

World Evolution

We have an advantage in our viewpoint on world affairs. It is very difficult to see the world when you're in it, so predominating it is. It is very difficult to comprehend life when you are so deeply immersed in only one of its stages, so difficult to contemplate its continuance and universal aspects.

Trust

Trust is a very fundamental issue and one you are probably familiar with. If you have been progressing, you must be concerned with the development of trust and with what trust must be founded upon. There are two aspects of you that we must talk about, for trust is the empowerment that you give yourself to participate in a Greater Reality while you are still in the world. There is your personal side, which you have been developing since you arrived here in this world, and there is your Impersonal side, which is something that is intrinsic to you. You have not been developing it; it is intact already.

It is important that We address the issue of sex and sexual relationships. This is such an important part of the human experience and such an area of confusion and misappropriation that it must be addressed as a significant part of any approach to living a more meaningful and more powerful life.

Your Purpose and Destiny

There is a greater purpose for you in the world, a greater purpose that has brought you into the world, a greater purpose that is meant to serve the world that you see and the world to come. The reality of this purpose—its meaning and its expression—exists beyond the grasp of your intellect. It is something that resides deep within you. God has placed it deep within you, within a deeper Intelligence within you, an Intelligence that is called Knowledge.

The Return

At a certain point in your life, if you are really honest with yourself and with your circumstances and agreements with others, you will come to a point where your life will begin to change fundamentally. This change will happen on the inside first because it is born of a deeper recognition, the recognition that you are not living the life you were meant to live and that you are not fulfilling the greater purpose that has brought you into the world.

When you begin to look at your life honestly and to consider the wisdom of your past decisions and the quality of your current circumstances – in light of who you really are, in light of the fact that you have come here for a greater purpose – you will see that your life needs to be redeemed. It needs to be renewed and refreshed, given a greater purpose, a greater dimension, a greater strength and a greater integrity.

Spiritual Retreat

It is important to take a spiritual retreat periodically, and particularly at times when important decisions are in front of you. A spiritual retreat here is not simply an escape from your outer life or a reprieve from your outer duties and responsibilities. Instead, spiritual retreat is a time to focus on the power and presence of Knowledge within yourself, the deeper Intelligence that the Creator of all life has placed within you to guide you, to protect you and to lead you to your greater accomplishments in life.
