Some people will question why there is only one Messenger, thinking this is a very exclusive thing, wondering why one person would be chosen and not many to receive a New Message from God.
When you think about it honestly and reasonably, you realize that if one person can receive the New Message from God, can honor it, can bring it into being, can express it and indeed if they were chosen before this life to bring this Message into the world, then clearly this would be their responsibility. Though others may claim such Divine appointments, this one person would have the New Message from God.
This disturbs many people because they think that this person will abuse the Message or misuse it, that this person will try to use it to gain power or wealth or privilege. While this is always possible, for no one in this world is beyond temptation, it must be honestly recognized that if someone is sent into the world for this purpose, and if this person is able to assume this role and responsibility and carry it out adequately, then this person should be accorded this right and this recognition.
This person’s character and behavior will demonstrate if they are truly qualified. Yet no one really knows what being truly qualified means, for this is a special appointment given to one person to serve the needs of humanity for a very long time to come.
So while the idea of there being one Messenger may arouse fear and even consternation amongst some people, it is a sign that a great Message has come into the world and that the Messenger is amongst you.
Some people expect the Messenger to be pure and without flaw, but this is never the case. Every Messenger who has brought a greater understanding to the human family from the Creator has always been a fallible individual. To make sure that the Message is received correctly, is interpreted correctly and is presented correctly, the process of revelation takes a very long time. It requires a very long preparation, and the individual being prepared will not fully understand what they are being prepared for. For the recognition of their role and their mission will only be revealed to them later, after they have taken many steps in preparing to assume such a great burden and responsibility.
The world does not understand the process of revelation, for the world is full of individuals who proclaim themselves—claiming to have Divine powers or Divine appointments, claiming to be messengers, claiming to be avatars, claiming to be spiritual leaders and innovators. And while there are some great spiritual teachers in the world today, only one will bring a New Message from God into the world. This individual will not be perfect. He will not perform miracles. He will not be superhuman, he will not be a superman. He will not do fantastic feats to amaze and arouse the populace. He will not stun you with his grandeur. Yet he can inspire you with his humility and his responsibility, his seriousness and his lightheartedness.
Such individuals must be prepared to receive a Message that far exceeds their understanding and the understanding of any person in the world. It must be a Message that can stand outside of every religious tradition and yet speak to every religious tradition. Such individuals must be prepared to accept that such a revelation will not conform to popular ideas or even to longstanding traditions or religious beliefs. For this is a New Message from God. It is not a human invention.
Such individuals must endure tremendous resistance, avoidance, ridicule and even the threat of persecution. For them, it is a great sacrifice of personal freedom. For them, it is a great burden, greater than they can even imagine. And they will have to face the disheartening reality that people around them will not receive them immediately, will not hear the Message, will not see the Message, and that many people will project many ridiculous and fanciful notions upon them, while others will condemn them outright.
A few people will be sent to assist this individual. Some of them will not be able to assume their responsibilities in doing this. But the Messenger cannot walk alone. This person will need very strong and great relationships—committed individuals, individuals who come without ambition, without their own personal designs, individuals who come because they are called. They too must undergo a great process of preparation, and it will take much time.
There have been many mistakes regarding this in the past, mistakes that have led to the great Messages being interrupted, or not being communicated completely, and in some cases being usurped by other individuals who claimed the responsibility to complete or fulfill the Messenger’s Message.
A New Message from God is now in the world. It has brought a Messenger into the world. His name is Marshall Vian Summers. He is a man without position in society. He is an educated man, but he is not a man with any worldly affiliations. He has been prepared over a very, very long period of time, living a life that is inexplicable even to himself. And yet he has been prepared and endowed with a great Message for this time, a New Message from God for the protection and advancement of humanity.
It is important that you hear this man, that you read the New Message, that you study the New Message and that you apply the New Message. The great challenge before you is not to accept the Messenger as much as it is to accept the Message. Yet in time you must accept the Messenger as well, for the Messenger has part of the Message. It is embedded within him. He brought it into the world with him. It is deep within his Knowledge, far beyond the reach of the intellect. This Knowledge and Wisdom will be called for as the opportunity arises and as those individuals who come with a sincere desire to learn their purpose and mission in life recognize the Messenger and speak to the Messenger.
He has a Message for you. He has a Message for the entire world. It is not necessary that people believe in him, but it is important that everyone can at least hear the Message and that, amongst the general population, a few people will be called forth to fully respond to the New Message—to receive it unto themselves, to support it in any way they can and to assist the Messenger in his great mission in carrying this great burden into the world.
Many people will be tempted to compare the Message with other teachings, even with very noble teachings, very important teachings. But you must understand that this is a New Message from God. It is not simply a different teaching amongst many others to be considered.
The burden then is on those receiving the New Message. Can they receive it? Can they consider it without having to accept it? Can they consider its implications, its responsibilities, its gift of Knowledge, its practical wisdom and its mystical reality? Can they receive the Messenger with an open mind—without adulation, without condemnation, without undue speculation—just receive the Messenger? Let the Messenger speak. Hear the words of the Messenger. Receive the revelation of the Message itself.
Such Revelations only come very infrequently. They hold great power and promise for humanity, especially for those individuals who can receive such Messages in their own lifetime when the Messenger is still in the world, while the Message is pure—before it has been used and misused, misinterpreted, misapplied or used by individuals, groups or even governments for their own purposes.
To receive the pure Message, to receive the Messenger, while he is here in the world, is of the greatest importance. This is of the greatest meaning to you, who are seeking to know your greater purpose and meaning for being in the world at this time. This gives definition to your purpose and your presence here. This gives meaning to your life as it has unfolded before you so far.
You are not asked to worship the Messenger, for worship is reserved for God. You are not asked to adulate the Messenger, for this is not appropriate. But you are asked not to condemn or criticize the Messenger until you have really heard the Messenger, until you have seen the New Message from God, have considered it deeply and have applied it to your life. Criticism and condemnation prior to this is simply a defense mechanism. It is born of fear and denial. There is no truth or wisdom in it.
You pray to God for wisdom, clarity and deliverance. If your prayers are sincere and honest, then you must accept what God reveals—even if it stands outside your religious understanding or beliefs, even if it seems new and incomprehensible, even if it does not seem to tie into the distant past directly. For God is not bound by these things and provides humanity only what it needs in order to face a great challenge and to have an opportunity for a new beginning in the world, in a world that is facing decline in so many ways.
Do not be dismayed that people use religion for hate, for war and for revenge. For this is a human problem. This is born of conflict within individuals. This is born of misunderstanding and misappropriation. Though people misuse the food that they eat, everyone must still eat. Everyone needs the wisdom of God, the guidance of God and what God provides as a vision to live life fully in the moment and to prepare adequately for the future, especially for a future that will be unlike the past.
If your prayers are sincere, then you must consider God’s response. You must see how this applies to you and your life—your circumstances, your situation, your difficulties and your opportunities. And you must see how it applies to the whole world—humanity’s difficulties and opportunities.
You must see that God has initiated all of the great religious movements in the world, and though these movements have been misinterpreted and misapplied and in many cases corrupted—by individuals, groups and nations—the intention of the Creator for human unity, for peaceful relations, for human cooperation, for human advancement, for human creativity, for human productivity is there.
The New Message is not here to replace or displace any religious tradition, but to give them all a greater panorama of application, to give them all a greater perspective, to give them all an opportunity to grow and flourish in the future, not in competition with each other, but in a greater harmony—a harmony that humanity will need as it faces the difficult times ahead.
This has everything to do with you and why you are in the world—with who you are, how you function, how you think, what your predispositions are and the nature of your personality. For you see, you are designed especially for something that you have not yet discovered. Without this greater purpose for your design and your nature, they can be misconstrued and even condemned by you and by others. But you were truly designed for something very important, and you have come into the world at a time of the greatest significance.
Hear then the New Message, for it speaks to this greater purpose—this purpose that has brought you into the world, this purpose that has shaped you as an individual, despite the many errors and problems that you have encountered along the way.
You must receive this for yourself first and then consider what it means for the world. The New Message is for the individual and the New Message is for the world, both together. It is a revelation for the individual and it is a revelation for all of humanity.
The Messenger is in the world. Will you hear him? Will you receive his wisdom? Will you receive the great Message from God that he has been assigned to deliver and to present? Will you give him the benefit of the doubt so that you can hear and have an opportunity to receive this New Message for yourself, into yourself and into your life? There may be fear and apprehension, but your soul yearns for this great Message, as it yearns for the greater truth that resides within every religious tradition.
This meets the need of the soul fundamentally. You have other needs as an individual: you have psychological needs, you have practical needs and you have physical needs. Yet the need of your soul, the greatest need of all, can only be fulfilled by discovering your greater purpose and meaning in the world. This greater purpose and meaning has to do with the reality of the world and the great change that is coming to the world. This need of your soul is what has called a New Message from God into the world, for humanity is facing a grave set of circumstances and must have Divine assistance in order to prepare.
Even though your mind may not be able to understand this fully, especially at the outset, your heart will know. A New Message from God is not simply food for the intellect—food for comparison and speculation and critical analysis. Its true communication is for your deeper nature and your deeper mind. It is meeting the need of the soul. If that can be satisfied, then the New Message will speak to your other needs—your practical needs, your psychological needs, your emotional needs, your intellectual needs—but first the connection must happen deeper within you.
God only knows this greater creation within you. This is a communication to what God has created within you. That is why it transcends worldly thinking, traditional ideas and cultural expectations—all of these things. It is a pure and authentic communication from the Creator of all life to Creation itself and to you—to what is great and promising within you, to what is eternal within you.
Therefore, receive a New Message from God. Receive the Messenger who has been sent into the world to bring this New Message to the people. Allow yourself to receive the power and the grace, the wisdom and the clarity that only a New Message from God can provide. If others cannot receive this, then you must accept that. If you stand alone in receiving this amongst your acquaintances and family, you must accept that as well. It has always been this way.
Think of the great Messengers that have been sent into the world and think of how few could receive them at the outset. It is important that you can be amongst this few, for this holds great promise for you and a great blessing for your life. In this way, you can give the ultimate gift to the world, for the world needs a New Message from God, and a New Message from God has been sent to the world.
